Evening All
Am now back from our caravan weekend which was lovely thanks to the weather. Children played happily with their friends so was able to chill on the sun lounger and read - have recharged the batteries. Just having a quick look on here and will then be off to watch telly in bed for an hour.
Have been having a good look at the flylady challenge, not sure if can do it this week as need to spend a lot of time in the office, but will see if can rearrange things then maybe will sign up for the thread tomm.
Toms plan of action is mainly in my office but also want to clear the washing basket as its meant to be fine and dry here tomm but poss rain on tues. Will then def iron it tomm as want to keep ironing comp up straight.
I hope youve all had good weekends but (((hugs))) to any that havnt.
By the way Queenie, thanks for your reply re the marrow. Think will give stuffed marrow a try in the slow cooker. For roast marrow I par boil it for a couple of mins then put in the roasting tin around the meat and it soaks up all the juices.0 -
Hello,
Just having my morning cuppa after I had some porridge & toast with avacodo & marmalade. DH arrived home about 1hr ago 6.30am to tell me we lost the soccer last night. Not that any of us thought we had much of a chance but one lives in hope.
DH has hit the sack & DD has gone off to work.
I plan to potter around and do a few things as well as I have to get my price & spend book up to date. It's still raining here this morning so I will have to get DH work clothes off the line and put them through the TD unless he wants to go to work naked tonight.
Off to have a bit of a surf now before I start the day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

:hello: Goooooooooood Morning!!!
Late start today, following from a late night last night(dirty stop-out! )
Today is the beginning of Moggins FLC, so I won't duplicate my to do's hereBut I'm going to tackle it from the angle of it being employment rather than the daily durge - so 9am start for me :rotfl:
B: Muesli
L: Cottage cheese, crackers, fruitSC Chilli (I predict a lot of SC'd meals during this week :rotfl: )
I knew my week would be interrupted with appointments, but yesterday learned that a friend is going into hospital for an operation (that much I knew) but that it is cancerous. As the hospital is nearer to me than her family, I'll need to schedule in visits and any oddjobs that the hospital stay will require. I've also been roped in to do some garden clearing next weekend - which should be a good laugh as well as great exercise
Shez - my garden isn't very big at all! And certainly not as large as Penny's. 20' x 30' max.
Need to dig out all the relevant car docs, because the tax is due end of this month and possibly the MOT as well so I need to get on to that pretty sharpish!
Boys in a lovely (!) mood this morning, sniping, moaning, sarcastic, so I might need to [strike]sharpen my stick with nails in to beat them with[/strike] meditate for a quick 10mins, if they carry on, to keep my sanity and motivation.
Sheesh kebabs were a great success at yesterdays BBQ but I erred on the side of caution with the seasonings so I shall adjust those next timeCame home with some gorgeous Camembert
Have a great day, everyone

Morning all
I hope you all have your cleaning heads on? I see some of you have already
Lets up and at em girls! I'm suffering from a severe lack of sleep and DS is home sick with the sunstroke but that's still not going to stop me.
Remember to get prepared first and take everything with you that you need and if any of you are hoovering this morning remember to check that your bag doesn't need changing/emptying before you start. You don't want anything stopping that momentum when you get going.
Also remember two boxes/crates/baskets and a bin bag for sell/charity shop/bin.
Good luck everyone, have an enthusiastic dayOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

a fantastic idea about treating it as a working day queenie:T ......im going to do that too as im terrible for sitting down and stopping doing things....a lunch break only for me,my working day shall start at 9 and finish at 5 and only be interuppted by 3yo,1yo and lunch!!!
have already roasted a chicken this morning.....will then turn it into something we fancy later on tonight!! couldnt decide what to do....will let dh decide tonight as he said he wanted to cook tonight, thought it would give a head start if i roasted it now though.

As I do need to be at work for 9.00, I'll need to start this afternoon but I have filled the car with stuff for the recycling bins in the local car park so I'll do that on my way home.
And for those who aren't starting at 9.00 am, Martin is on The Wright Stuff, channel 5 at 9.00 am0 -
Morning all
Ready to jump on board the FL challenge after the school run, got ahead of myself last night but cutting the back lawns and having a good tidy in the garden, means I can devote longer to the living room today.
Got afterschoolers here today so need to be finised by then, once all the little ones are fed and watered and they've gone home, we're off for another family swim, going to try and get in the habit of going at least twice as a family during the week and once at weekends, then I can go alone when I get chance.
DD2 has a "treat" day at school today, they're all making their own packed lunch and having a "picnic in the park", the whole class are taking bikes/scooters/roller blades too - Glad I'm not helping out on that one, can imagine a lot of grazed knees and elbows by the end of the day.
Had a big falling out with an online friend last night, something I said in an email was read in the wrong context (you know how easy it is in words rather than in speech where the tone of you voice can be taken into account)....I've ended up having to take a step back and some time out from replying as it seemed to open flood gates of emotion on their part and I can't trust myself not to write something that I might regret later..... Todays FL challenge will keep me away from the pc so that will help greatly.
B - ermmmmmm......I'll have elevensis...
L - errrmmmmmm......elevensis will tide me over....DD/DH have wraps/fruit
D - Veggi pasta bake.
Ok - school run time, then I'm all geared up to get going....have a good one all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
