    Morning all

It's lovely and cool here today so I will pop out in the garden and get some weeding done.

DS's dad is going to miss Fathers Day as he managed to bring DS home with sunstroke yesterday so DS is not going to his dads today. I was not amused and I have to phone him later so he is going to get a piece of my mind then :( I gave him two applications of Calamine lotion when he got home but he's still feeling dizzy and unwell this morning.

DH has had breakfast in bed. I do love those breakfast packs from Lidl, it provides all you could need bar the eggs for £1.99 and there is enough for three people. Fry up for me too later. I've got fresh coffee brewing so I'll take some up to DH in a minute, and then it's roast lamb with all the trimmings for lunch as DH has to go to work at 5.30.

Lots to do today, have DS's uniform to iron, DD's doesn't need doing as she didn't go to school last week so it's still clean and ironed, then I have to make a trip to the hospital to pick up mums meds as I didn't get to go yesterday.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

Cold wet night here on Lamb Island. :D Baaaa. Just had my hot shower & put my pj's on. DH has left for work & DD & I were snuggled up on the couch watching BB. Don't think I'll stay up and watch the soccer tonight. It starts here at 1am. DD first day at work tomorrow. Lunch already packed & legs already shaven :D.

I rang up dr's on Sat for urine tests & I have to ring tomorrow now as I have blood as well as pus  in there and they want to run more tests on it. My organs are still very sore. Feels like someone's kicked me in my stomach, back & sides. Whatever it is, it's come on very quickly. DH reckons it's a kidney stone. Who knows but I hope it goes just as quick.

Good luck on the Flylady Challenge. I won't join in this time as my place is very clean, tidy & organised. :p I'll let you in on my secret. I have only unpacked a fraction of our stuff for this house as there was no way I was going to go through all this unpacking/packing stuff in 6 months time. Makes it so much easier to keep everything in order & tidy when only the necessities have been unpacked.

(((((hugs))))) to those in need of them. Catch ya later. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning
I'm not too good at these forum things, I've started this post before but somehow managed to delete it half way through!
Today is going to be a lazy day for me, although I need to do a wash. I'm thinking about getting an allotment, as I live in a flat and don't have a garden, so I'm going to visit the library to check out their offerings on beginning veggie growing. Might be a bit late in the season but I'll still have a look at it.
    Other than that, nothing!

    :D

    Morning,
Just back from the weekly Asda dash.
I managed to get 3 Turbots for 30p instead of the £28.20 they should have been:eek: and £2 worth of roast pork for ....20p :D (reduced section obviously)
Wish they had bargains like that all the time.
I wont have to buy any onions for months as the overwintering onions are ready. The garlic nearly is and the new potatoes are getting there.
I finished my first home made swimming costume yesterday. It looks fine (So there DD!) I have enough material left for 2 more so I might make a second one but have a slightly lower neckline and thinner shoulder straps on the next .If I make the 3 ,they will have cost me £3.77 each including elastic and polyester thread . Much better than the £16 I just spent on DD's cossy. I was lucky to find a remnant of nylon/elastane for £6.59 instead of £9,29 but they would still have worked out very cheaply at full price anyway.
Today will be a gardening day as OH has bought me a new stainless steel fork.
    Breakfast today was a cuppa
lunch wil be pork and salad sandwiches
    tea......?
    all the best

    Morning everyone

Miserable day here today - been raining all morning. Had an awful sleep last night due to the heat. Absolutely blooming boiling all night. Maybe the rain will clear the mugginess a bit  (Is mugginess even a real word?)

Yesterday after I finished work hubby and I went into Glasgow to have a reckless day  We went to TGI's for lunch (BOGOF of course) and drinks then had a bit of pub crawl. Spent way too much but it's not something we do often and it was good fun.

No set plans for today - will probably just potter about the house tidying and cleaning. Hubby has just finished ironing. Knew I could delegate that to someone ;)

Have a great Sunday folks :D
  • Afternoon all!

  • Afternoon all :j

Woohoo - I've finally got my broadband connection back :T

Spent a relaxing day, doing not much really - except for the usual washing up, washing etc.

For Father's Day brunch we had sweetcorn pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs - yummy!

Trying to decide what to have for tea - I'm thinking chicken curry for DH and I and sausages, pasta and broccoli for DD - must this may change :D

Anyway I'm going to iron the clothes for tomorrow and start making the packed lunches - I want a stress free morning tomorrow :D

    (((((hugs))))) to all
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Afternoon all

What a lovely day - hazy sunshine and a lovely cool breeze off the sea. We got up fairly early and had a slow lazy wander around a boot fair....picked up 2 M&S school skirts for DD's for september.....50p each. Then we popped to the health club to join some friends for a swim - was lovely - had the pool to ourselves and DH offered to amuse the kids whilst my friend and I popped to the sauna for 10 mins.

This afternoon we've been for a drive round a few villages that we're looking at for when DH's company move, got a better idea of what's around now.....Popped into tesco on the way home to pick up some shorts for DH and managed to get the green sweatshirts that DD's need for september, a pair of reduced trousers and polo shirts...so that's them all sorted.

Got reduced broccoli and cauli in Morrisons yesterday, so combining them with ham, pasta and cheese sauce for tea.

Have a day off tomorrow so will attack the garden and the living room then, for now though, I'm going to sneak one of DH's beers.

Hope you've all had a great day.

p.s. meant to say....Culpepper - well done on the swimming costume.....never thought about making my own. I needed a new one but luckily found a discount code for a catalogue and got a reduced one in the sale.....was delivered on wednesday for £3.95....not bad really!
