Hi Murtle (you arrived as I was writing!) and to everyone else who arrives today! Keep up the water. That's what I need to do today, so I know how difficult it can be.
Pop up to say someone else is on the wires. Morning to you, too!

Penny - I only have one chook (ex batt then a pecking order domestic violence victim so given to me
) she was quite poorly when I got her and so her egg production isn't so great - soft shell, despite extra oyster shell. But she makes a wonderful pet and if she does go on to produce edible chookie-eggs, that will simply be a bonus.
Snowy and moggins are referring to the Flylady Challenge which I linked to in my thread above - it begins tomorrow if you want to join in
:T Well done on your DD's flapjacks/cardmaking skills. As for her room ... a crafter needs a bit of chaos, aids the flow of creative juices

Hi Q, I've been following FL challenge, but haven't posted yet. Just seen your post, and feel inspired. I need a bit of FL in my life!
Yes, won't be too hard on DD. Will just shut her door, and not look! It's her room after all, and mine isn't much better atm.
Bunnies to be peeled (DD's term btw) by DH soon, then he will make into casserole. His speciality, v rustic and delish. Will have them on Tuesday (when we all eat together) with potatoes, lettuce, and beans from the garden. First picking of dwarf beans spotted yesterday in the polytunnel. Had a few raw and they were lovely.

Hiya :hello:
Just a quick one from me for now, as I've just looked up my usual route into London for church and discovered that the trainis aren't running, so will have to leave earlier than normal to take a different route.
Anyway, main reason i'm on is to say that PP has texted me to say that she and family have arrived safely at their caravan and have found it to have all the necessary facilities, unlike the last place they went to.
See you later

Morning everyone.
I'm still feeling a bit grotty from the other day, so i'm trying to do a mix of take it easy and get lots done. DH is a bit off it too, and he thinks it may be some sort of cold his mum had when he visited them last week en-route to his hols. I think we are both just worn out.
Friday night we wrote a plan for the weekend, including shopping lists ands had a small tidy round. Yesterday we did the ASDA shop, and went to IKEA to buy furniture for our living room. So an hour in the car, to get there and find most of the loos out of order, and that they had discontinued my furniture so we came home disappointed. That has demotivated me now for the whole living room revenovation project, and we haven't that long to get on with it.
I had to have a kip when we got back, but DH packed a couple more boxes of stuff away, we threw some junk out, and then he cooked tea. (a pasta salad based on a tuna nicoisse recipe he found in a book, followed by strawberries and cream.) I'm pretty impressed that he has suddenly decided he likes olives, as it is a new recipe.
DH has gone to my parents today to help my BIL fix their roof. Hopefully he won't be out all day or get sunburned. I have some school work to do and best be the one who does cooking today. I've sent him with a pile of stuff that is theirs to return, a fathers day card and my scan picture. :rotfl:
i've got some washing to do for work, and should do some ironing, and i'm just debating joining in the flylady challenge. It would probably be lots easier to pack downstairs up if i declutter everywhere else first.
Enjoy your day of rest everyone. Happy fathers day celebrations,

I hope it's ok for me to join in, I have read the daily thread for a while now and think it's the inspiration I need atm to get myself into gear!
What with heat (really can't cope in hot weather) illness and hectic schedule I need to focus a bit more:D
w/m on, 1st load on line, chicken in oven for salad later.
Later hopefully a trip to fruit farm for strawberrys and then jam making this afternoon and a visit to the allotment ( had pointed email yesterday about a petrol strimmer available on site today for anyone who needs it:o ).
Have a lovely day everyone.
DoddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Morning everyone!
Happy Fathers Day to all!
Was up at the crack of dawn today, and left Mr Frizz snoring whilst I popped to Little Tescos and bought the Sunday papers and stuff for a fry up. Cooked it all and served it in bed - I even shocked myself at how domesticated I have been.Thank god its only once a year - I'm exhausted now!
BBQ for lunch/dinner.
Here's to a relaxing day in the garden.
Take care all.

Morning all.........
((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs them.............
Quite a warm night last night but slept ok, just had brekkie and now a quick look on here before I set my stall out for the day, not that I really have any plans, expecting SS sometime with Fathers Day card and also DH birthday card for Tuesday. Chicken for supper tonight, its one of the 2 for £5 from Tesco so will do us for 3 meals plus stock for soup. Last week I did the lamb bone with soup mix to make scotch broth, since then its turned flaming hot, so I am going to freeze it today, in portion sizes.
Garden looks ok after its water last night, we both had showers. I put the plug in the bath and ladled the water out with a jug, the last bits I got out with a car sponge, they soak up a lot of water, just kept wringing it out, the water filled the bucket so a trip down to empty it into a tank we have ready for the second shower, each lot is enough to fill two watering cans and can be used on the plants, not on containers or on anything that may be eaten, although we do use it on the rhubarb. We use water from the rainwater barrels for those things.
Right off for a coffee and to see what OH is doing, think we mat be sitting in the garden for our drink.................
