Afternoon all
(((hugs))) to all in need, especially PenPen and Shez.
Well, the lady came and picked up the tv and was delighted with it. She's an 'older' lady who doesn't appear to have much money and I'm sure it will be lovingly looked after.
Last night I went round to my neighbours housewarming. Very nice people and although I only had 3 glasses of red wine, the insomnia kicked in at 1.30Didn't do anything productive bar watch a bit of tv though and I'm still shattered now.
Today I've managed to put DW on (but it hasn't emptied properly so I guess I'll be taking the hoses off under the sink and cleaning them out (again) WM has been on twice and I've taken our winter duvet to the launderette and a suit to the dry cleaners. The duvet was spread over my whirlygig until about 10 minutes ago when it started threatening rain
I've run the vac around downstairs and sorted the clean washing out. I've also managed to do a bit of emergency vaxing on the living room carpet where DS2 had an 'accident'. Good job it was still out. Tonight will be an ironing in front of the tv night. I must remember to put BM on in a bit cos we haven't a crust left in the house.
Actually, I was going to do lots in the house today but it was so lovely earlier that it seemed a shame to waste it so I've been grubbing in the garden. Luckily it wasn't too hot today - just nice. Those indoor jobs will still be there when it's raining, unless the cleaning fairy comes to visit (she never comes to help me actually, she only helps out Mr TM I thinkAlong with the cooking, shopping and laundry fairies!)
Right, I think I deserve a wee tincture..... only it won't be red wine and it will only be the one, cos I really really need some sleep tonight. Doctor Who will be on shortly and I need to persuade my two herberts that they really need a bath.
Have a good evening everyone

Queenie wrote:Murtle! :hello: My l'il dehydration prone munchkin, could you try challenging yourself to say drinking a glass of water down, on the hour every hour? Years ago when I did WW that's the only way I would/could remember to ingest 8 glasses per day!!! I think my trouble was, they never stipulated how large a 'glass' was and I was trying to drink too much (very large glass you see
)
:rotfl: :rotfl: I think I will have to do that, at least make sure that my glass is complete each hour!! I'm drinking it by the litre and then stop cause I get bored going for a wee all the time!
Am drinking a rehydration sachet at the moment after falling asleep and waking up wondering what day it was and was I late for work!!!0 -
Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for ages, but I do read your posts most days.
OS inspiration is running a bit dry at the moment (I blame the heat!) so I'll be trying to pop in a bit more often for a bit of a kickstart.
We're having a car-free day today - cycled into town, then onto inlaws, then home again, probably about 8 miles or so in total.
Loads of garden watering to do in a little while. It takes ages with the hosepipe ban, and we also have to do next door as they're on holiday at the mo.
Fingers crossed the good weather will last till tomorrow, as that usually means loads of sellers at the car boot sale0 -
Hello all,
Only a very very quick post to say that I am finally out of that hellhole!!!!
Staying with a friend for a few days until our new place is completely finished (floors down etc) as I don't think I could cope with the stress of living in a half-finished flat! This friend is renting a 5bed house until the end of the month, but the lads he lives with have all gone home for the summer so he has 4 spare rooms and is feeling lonely so me and OH were only happy to move in and provide some rent-free company!!
Have done absolutely nothing OS today except clean my friends bathroom with stardrops (he is a friend of my OH really, and is a 20yr old male - you can probably understand why I cleaned the bathroom before I used it!!! Although it was much cleaner than my old one which was, *ahem* decorated by that dirty moose!!!)
I had no idea how much stuff we had!! It took us nearly 5hrs to move 5mins down the road
Hope everyone is ok - ((((((((hugs)))))))) to all! I'll try and keep in touch but will probably be appearing sporadically until we are settled and have t'interweb installed at the new place!Roz
