DD's lunchbox all done and her bag ready. Glad its cooler today though for her and the pollen doesnt seem as bad. She has her sports day Friday and she has been chosen to swim for the school against the other schools in the area. Morning Everyone
The weather looks miserable here this morning, typical as I need to walk into town, the 1st time I ahve had a chance to in the last week.
FIL now going to sil for dinner, so don't have to worry about the state of the house too much.
Need to write a shopping list have loads to buy and not enough money as per usual. Must finish decorating the lounge at some point today if possible, there only a little cutting in to do , but has been needed doing for about 2 weeks now.
Am getting a gorgeous(well it will be) 1920,s desk (top folds down) from my mum, which my dad painted electric blue about 20 years ago, so I am sanding it down and re varnishing it, so it will be lovely again. Not sure why he thought electric blue was a good colour, but thats the 80's for you:p

Right better go and brush dds hair before school
    Hugs to all

    Hi Everyone

Havent been around for awhile. Like Jo I've had laptop problems. Quick update from me is sister is moving out :j as soon as she finds a house. This should make things easier Os wises as she likes her junk food. DD is growing up fast unfortunately shes not well at the moment Dr thinks it could be the start of Chickenpox  . I'm glad in away if it is as the younger they get it the better and nobody we know is pregnant at the moment. My other truama at the moment is the WM is broken, a man is coming to look at it tomorrow so until then its minimising washing so DD is wearing nasty disposable nappies yuck.

Anyway hope everybody is keeping ok. Today I've got to go to work this afternoon and its normally toddler group but obviously we cant go. So I'm going to use my time productively and so abit of hand washing and make a pasta sauce for tea.

    Have a good day everyone

    Good morning everyone!

Well, I say "good" morning, but the weather doesn't seem to be playing along with that one. It's grey and relatively dark, although not raining right at this very moment. But I have a basket full of wet washing waiting for the sunshine to appear... at least I hope the washing can go out.
I've still not got dressed yet, but have got a few jobs done.

I am off now to do a search on OS for the beginning of the "numpty turnip" saga, as I have absolutely no idea what this is all about:confused: . Honestly, you have a couple of days off from this site and a whole new language appears...:rotfl:

Have a good day all of you!

    Morning all

Great to read that everyone is up bright and early - though the weather seems a little dull here today.

My aims for today are to

    1) Join a teaching union (kept meaning to do it, amazing how a threat of redundancy gets you to join)
    2) update AVG virus on my computer
    3) email Qs to work about redundancy process (they said it is unlikely we will be made redundant, but the document header reads; "** Department Redundancy/Redeployment Proccess" ! Maybe I should do as Jo and ask to reduce my hours in the process?
    4) Reading for degree before course tonight
    5) work for L4 Maths course before tomorrow

That will do for the time being!!

P.S. Weighed myself this morning and have put on :(Shez/nutty - when do you weigh yourself? I do it at random times, and my weight fluctuates during the day...annoying.

    Morning all,

Definitely going to be a quiet day here. Yesterday was our Parents Night at Beavers where they get all their awards for the year. We provide buns and crispies for the kids and tea and scones and cakes for the parents - all made by me. Plus we decided I would make extra to sell in aid of the minibus fund. Would have been fine, except this finished at 7.30pm and then dh and I had to race home, change out of uniform because at 8pm we had guests for dinner from his work - so everything had to be done before Beavers.

I'm not sure why I ever thought this was a good idea and at 2.15pm yesterday I nearly sat and cried - but with the help of the French student, we pulled it off and made £24 for the minibus fund - and Marion will go back to France being able to make crispie buns!!

So will spend this morning clearing up - couldn't face it last night. Must make some bread and take DH's car to the garage as it has a slow puncture - luckily there is money in the car "piggy bank".

Dinner is going to be interesting - leftover lamb kebabs from Sunday, leftover "chop salad" from More with Less (with the cucumber removed) and leftover salsa are going to be combined in a lamb pie for tonight  - we have had guests twice this week and I need to have a few days using up all the bits and pieces.

Hugs to everyone having a bad day - and enjoy the weather for everyone else if you can.

That sounds like the sort of meal we end up with every so often! We had guests on Sunday, I put the veg etc in serving dishes, & there were leftover carrots, roasted mediterranean veg, and a jacket potato - so Monday's dinner was a Spanish omelette using the chopped potato & the other veg mixed in. DH said it was very nice!
