Evening all
Hiya Shez - yes back with more good news, just what you expect from me these days
BrgRzl - as an ex-Londoner (oh how I miss it!) my sympathies for you with the house hunting. However, have you considered purchasing with someone, or buying a bigger place and renting out a room? I know a couple of friends who did this and this enabled them to buy a larger place. Prices in London are crazy, aren't they?
AussieLass - enjoy your cake, I hope I'm not being presumptious, but is your mum looking down from above now? If not and she has just moved away, I hope I haven't offendedIt is scary how a year passes by so quickly isn't it? With father's day coming so quickly upon us it just reminds me that my Dad isn't around and I really miss him.
PPenguin - with photos, can you just copy and paste from viewing the images in My Computer and then pasting into a message? Hang on, let me try...ok, I opened the image in an image editing package (I just used Paint on my computer), resized and then tried to copy and paste here....didn't work- doh! Think I'll check out the FAQs...I think it has to be on a website or something?
Roz - you have no idea how jealous I am! Congrats :T

Hi BRzl
Until this week I have a mortgage offer that was 4.7 times my salary. I had to prove that I earned a bit more than my salary through freelance work, but I had been told that you can get more than you earn. It would have been tough, but I was planning to rent out a room, though I had budgeted to ensure that if I couldn't rent the room for a bit I could still (just!) get buy. Have you chatted with a mortage advisor yet? I had a 20% deposit which helped.
I know what you mean about sharing, but if it is the only way to get on a property ladder, means to an end and all that.
Just be warned, you could spend a lot of money and not get somewhere to live. Hey, with your positive outlook though you couldn't be as unlucky as me with two places falling throughI've found the housebuying thread on MSE great as I can ask lots of questions.

Hung out washing, swept out, did brekky dishes, cleaned bath & toilet and am dressed suitably for visitorsalthough I do still have my fluffly slippers on.
Mushy I'm not having a cake today. I was talking about last year. My Mum died this year in January. No you didn't offend me. Takes a bit to offend me.I have a thick skin.

Oooh, Ausie Lass. Look at me, I dared to do it, and start the thread!
Queenie, nah, nah, nah, naaah, naaah. Beat you to it today!! I owe you a thanks btw from DS. Called him numpty turnip, which he thought was v. funny. It's now part of our vocab.
Mushy peas, Thanks. I'd already tried your way to stick in pics of the chicks, but it didn't work. Any suggestions as to how I can put in pics from "my pictures" straight to the thread? I intend to start a proper album share, but would like to put pic straight here for the time being. They're doing well - 3 buff chicks starting to get adult feathers. The buff chick with the splayed legs has been helped with elastic band to draw them together, and has now fluffed up her feathers and watking like a good un. Black chick still not right. Appears to have hip/pelvis problems, and she can't hold her feet properly. One took a running jump at the side of the box (apple crate from supermarket) and nearly escaped. Now in a higher sided box.
Busy day today. 2 clients at work, then seeing a client in prison. That'll be an experience. No idea what for tea. Will find pasta sauce in the freezer.
DD (aged 13) declared that she's definitely doing textiles for GCSE. She wants to be fashion designer, and will probably be very good at it.
Hugs to all and have a great day!
