Well I have taken another one, I had lean lamb with salad at lunch time and have just had two sausages done in the oven, not fried, so all the fat drips into the tin with a helping of beans, will see what happens tonight, I have not had to run to the loo yet so guess I do not have that much fat in my diet.........I might have to resort to using panty liners although the though of sleeping in knickers puts me off somewhat, it will be interesting to see what happens when I go for my weigh in three weeks on Thursday.

It is raining here but not pouring it keeps coming and going, the ground shows signs that water has landed but we need a lot more.

Market tomorrow need fresh veg for the weekend............I plan to use the last of the lamb tomorrow with Cauli and broc gratin, spuds for the OH nothing else for me..... we will have fish and chips when we get back from Gardeners World on Thursday, homemade of course, RC chips done in the oven and baked fish.........

    Hi again all!

Managed to make a dinner out of the last of the chicken. Pesto, pasta, bacon bits and chicken. Very quick, easy and tasty - just my kind of thing!

Tootles - sorry to hear you're having a bad time on the tabs, hopefully it'll settle down. A GP once told me that the reason those tabs worked was because it discouraged eating fat (due to the side effects). Not sure how true that is mind - probably more opinion than fact.
I was at the hospital last week and the consultant there said that they're hoping that a new weight loss drug will be released next year that has been doing really well in trials. Apparently it's more of an appetite suppressant - don't know if that would help you, but worth knowing?

Hoping to have a realxing evening tonight so that I can have an early night - and feel nice and energised tomorrow :D

Oh - and before I forget, Tesco have 'Carrs wholewheat flour for breadmakers' reduced, it's currently cheaper than their own strong wholemeal (assuming it's the same in all stores?) I'm hoping it's 'strong' flour as it's got a picture of a loaf on the front...... Anyone ever used this flour?

Hope you all have a pleasant eve and a much better sleep tonight as it seem a bit cooler in most places.
    Best wishes,
    Kaz x

    evening everyone
Hope alls well with you all
Had a nice relaxing day today, went to watch dd 7yo at her sports day then spent the rest of the day at my mums having a good gossip and genral catch up.
All hell will brake loose in a bit though as jons dad and wife are coming over for lunch tomorrow so will have to start a marathon cleaning session, when all I want to do is sit on my butt, like the lazy moose I am.
I am so thankful the bathroom is downstairs, because I don't have to worry about up stairs so much:o HOw bad is that :rotfl:
jon picked up a huge swing/slide set from freecycle earlie so need to put it back together over the weekend, the kids will be ecstatic.
Not sure what I am going to do for lunch tommorow, probably a mixed grill or a bbq depending on the weather.
Tea tonight is salmon, boiled potatoes and peas. ( the salmon has been sat in the freezer for about 4 months, so thought i better use it)
My brother has aked me to his bank charges stuff for him, with 20% of the reclaimed for me:j which should hopefully end up at about £200 in my pocket. I wont complain:rolleyes: , just wish a few others would do the same.
right better go and sort tea and start cleaning
    hugs to all

Hi all haven't been on for a while as my computer kept on crashing big style.

Been busy sorting out the house so it is neat and tidy before we go off to get married/holiday in 2 weeks!

Lo has his mmr jab tomorrow so a bit nervy about that! Oh is taking him as i will just freak out, had to postpone it from last month as he had his ear infection. He is struggling with this heat, bit cooler tonight so hopefully he won't wake every hour as he has been doing the past week:confused:

    Hope you are all well

Had huge downpour this afternoon! much cooler now, better for sleeping and DD eating, didnt eat yesterday.
Did Bolognaise in SC as per SC book recipe, came out ok - but bit bland for my liking - but not sure what to put in to give it flavour? DYKWIM?
want does everyone else put in the sauce, chilli powder/cayenne pepper/paprika ??

TM - was gonna about yr telly earlier - I know what you mean about fcycle, someone posted they wanted babytoys and I had sorted out some and replied, but they havent come back to me.
kyle - good luck with forthcoming wedding, where are you going? edit: just seen yr signature - Gretna!

  • Evening all

Am up in studio 2 (aka the bedroom :rotfl: ) whilst DH is watching footie. I'm "cleaning" the bedroom aka watching Big Brother :rotfl: Though in my defence I have cleaned the TV, chest of drawers and computer table/station :D

The weather has finally broken, so I've managed to get some housework done tonight. It's going to be a cool 20C tomorrow (hurrah) so should be able to get lots more done. Have taken some mince out of the freezer to defrost for lasagne tomorrow.

    ((((hugs)))) to everyone

    Byee
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Yes it was beautiful! beaches lovely, very scenic, climate warm but with a lovely breeze to cool you down :D We stayed at an all inclusive so very cheap holiday but unfortunately it was mostly full of german and italian families so a bit of a language barrier! Still we managed with a bit of charades and lots of smiling! :rotfl:
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

How about Marmite? I swirl out nearly empty jars with warm water and add to sauce. Made veggie chilli this way this evening - delish. Ate with deep green friend who brought marmalade cake. Drank my homemade elderflower cordial. DD took opportunity to discuss the merits and otherwise of quorn. Anyone else experience allergic reaction?

SB, good luck in R4L. Ours on June 29. DD and I well in training. MP3 turned up at work, so can run to my choice of music rather than that borrowed from DH.

Roz, best of luck with move.

Am trying to insert picture of the chicks. They're in "My Pictures". Anyone know how I can insert?

Frey, your 20% of bro's bank charges is £200? Sounds like you could make a living from this. Have you more brothers?

Rage, love the cake tale! I also get the line, "oh no-one bakes, makes jam, makes mincemeat, etc, etc, anymore". Oh yes we do, as it's fun and SO MUCH BETTER.

Can't remember who said it first, but called DS "numpty turnip" today, and how he laughed!

Sleep well all, and good morning to those in the South, or night shifties.

    Penny. x
