  • good morning everyone :D

Well I am supposed to be at work today, but got DD2 home from school with tummy ache. I will have to make up the hours at the end of the week, which mucks up my plans, but never mind - such is the life of a mummy lol

It's very hot again here today. We had some rain in the night but it doesn't seem to have done much for the temperature. I know the summer is lovely but I do wish it could be just that little bit cooler :o

Got WM going with 2nd load and one more to do. I really need to do some housework if I am going to be at work the rest of the week, but it's hot and DD is in need of some TLC. I think the housework might just have to wait till I can do it another time.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Goodnight everybody,

Just boiling the jug for my hot water bottle. :p I can honestly say tonight I'm off to bed with a headache. :D The alarm is set for 4am. Sigh.

Enjoy your day everyone. Why don't you go out and enjoy the sunshine in your garden Kaz. :rotfl:Don't let it get you down.

    Morning all, evening Aussielass :)

Hugs to all that need them.

DD has finally stopped being sick but is still pale and listless so another day off school. I'm going to try her with a hardboiled egg and a slice of bread for lunch.

To top it all off my mum got taken into hospital yesterday with a suspected heart attack, luckily it wasn't but the nurse kindly informed me that she is suffering from renal failure. I cried myself stupid when I got home from the hospital as I really can't see her being with me this time next year.

I then gave myself a stern talking to and made a list of jobs to do today, I kept it short and only gave myself 5 things I must get done. I've done three of them already so only two to go now.

Afternoon all :hello:I've got my time away from my class today and I've reached saturation point of marking so I thought I'd come on here and say hi! I've got to write comments for all of my class who are going to the secondary school across the road. I don't know whether I should be diplomatic about some of them or just tell their new teachers the truth! ;) They're not all bad, it's just that they like to play people up!I was very good this morning and I went swimming to the early bird session. I'd never been to the pool and I thought that I was being virtuous. I wasn't expecting to have to fight with every single OAP to try to swim in a straight line! The vast majority of people were chatting as they slowly went up and down the pool. There was one lane of "very serious" swimming - you know, the people who look like they are pros - skinny, well-toned muscle etc etc! The rest of the pool was for the chatters. Ah well, I'll just have to think of how another keep fit regime. The good thing about swimming is that it's quite cool in there at this time of year! :DAnyway, time to go and write nice things about children in my class.See you later :wave:Vicky
PS Looks like my paragraphs aren't working either today

Morning all..............(((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to those who need them....

Late this morning, had a mystery shopper to do which was a pain, lets just say it involved a very distaneful and arrogant member of our ethnic minority(majority in this area)groups, came away fizzing.................

OH much better slept until 7.30 before he started coughing and then only a couple of coughs.........he now has symptoms of his IBS, but I am not supprised.... he'll get over it.

What concerns me more was the state of the sheet on our bed this morning, covered in yellow grease.............forget those pills no way am I taking any more of them..........I have had to wash the sheet twice to get the stain out!!!! and all I had last night were 2 small slices of lamb, why did it not have the same effect the night before when I had several slices?????

Enough................. its still very warm, we are to get storms later, my friend who lives just over the other side of the city had violent hail stoems yesterday, the wind was so strong it blew several heavy photograph frames off the mantlepiece and shattered the glass. We just had a few spots of rian and that was it.

Off for some lunch..... have a good day..............

    hi everyone

trink36.gif It's way too hot. Just been out and used my dividend coupon to get a box of lollies to have in the freezer at work

Whilst out I picked up the boots magazine which was free thanks to Mr Boots Card

I really can't concentrate because it's just too hot. Roll on 10pm when I finish

Had zero sleep last night thanks to the heat and thunderstorms

    Hope everyone's ok

DD has now fallen asleep on the sofa and I've been on the phone to the doctors, apparently this bug is going around and last for 2 - 4 days!! He says there is nothing more I can do than what I'm doing already, I knew that really but rang him to pacify DH who seems convinced I can't cope even though I have been nursing sick children for the last 21 years :D

I've worked out that there is no way I can visit Mum today, I feel really guilty but my sister is going in and Mum is surrounded by capable nurses. My baby girl only has me and I can't be in two places at the same time.

Had to hold off on the hoovering as I don't want to wake her up, sleep is always a good healer. I might go and clean the loo instead.

When DD is off school ill, the only thing I've found that settles her tummy is jelly :rolleyes::D When she was really ill last year I took her to the doctors and the doctor said "If she asks for something to eat give it to her. It will either cure her hopefully, or she'll be sick again. Other than that there is nothing I can suggest!" DD piped up "Can I have jelly?" Doctor "Yes, if your mummy gives you some" Guess what she now has to have to cure an upset stomach :rotfl:I've even taken to keeping one in the cupboard just in case ;)

((moggins)) Sorry to hear about your mum.

As for me here... I've done gardening instead of housework :o Its actually cloudy here and quite chilly. Rather annoyed as DD didn't take her top with her today to school so she'll probably end up ill by the weekend. Time to does her up on healthy veg ;)

I'm in the process of making up a large pan of bolognese mix using up all sorts of leftovers :p 1 load of towels out on the washing line blowing in the wind, dark load has just finished so I'm going to go and put that out and carry on with my gardening. I've done the weeding...as far as I know. There's some unknown plants and I'm in two minds as to whether to just pull them up or leave them until I can be more sure as to what they are. I'm sure they're weeds ....or maybe not :rotfl: Also de-caterpillared the plants, de-leaved the leaves that have a burrowing bug in them  and now I need to set too on planting out livingstone daisies and winter flowering pansys as well as watering the garden  How much can I get done in an hour?
