Hello all
moggins ((((hugs)))) to you hun. I'm sure this is all you need right nowCome and have a rant/moan at us when you need to - don't let the stress make you ill.
PP - glad your hospital visit was OK.
((hugs)) to all you other sickies out there.
I've been a really busy bee today. Had a dental appointment for me and boys at 8.50. Late as usual, but I know that because we have a block booking and we have nothing wrong with our teeth :j we have all been checked and I've had my scale and polish and we're still out on time. DS's taken to schools then off into town to do 3 mystery shopping jobs. Bit of a pain as 2 are quite involved and require a return visit, but hey ho - they more than paid for the handbag that leapt into my arms the minute I poked my head into TK Maxx(I still blame that Nelski woman for turning me into a shopaholic :rotfl:) Done all my bits and pieces too - bank, post office, fruit and veg shopping etc.
I've just got home and grabbed a glass of water. Could think about getting something ready for tea, but I reckon jackets, assorted fillings and salad will do. I really need to clean the boys rooms as a bomb seems to have gone off in them - maybe tomorrow
It's a lot cooler and cloudier here today but very close. We need a good old thunder storm to clear the air too.
Ok, best unpack shopping, and think about food. Will get some Kefir ready to give to a friend when I do school run. Tonight will be another ironing night and may even make a start and clean out 1 kitchen cupboard at a time
Right, best get moving - these jobs won't do themselves. Catch ya later.

Hiya
Back home after being at my sisters for the weekend. Drive to Southampton went well, though my arm does hurt quite a bit now.
Update on house....well there is noneNo-one can get hold of the vendor, not even her solicitor, doesn't look good does it? I guess she doesn't want to sell. This would be the second house I would have lost, totally, costs of £4K:eek:
More rubbish news, though nothing compared to what other people are experiencing. I went into work yesterday (thanks for the good luck wishes) to find out that there is going to be a restructuring which means as from September none of us have jobs. We all have to re-apply for our jobs, friends against friends, as usual. The worst thing is that the job I'm currently doing changes to looking after two departments, so double the work. Everyone else's job seems to have been reduced! I don't understand why they have done this as I've been sent home once from work with a panic attack as I was so stressed.
Of course, facing redundancy means my mortgage approval will probably be withdrawn...which means even if the vendor did magically rea-appear, I couldn't get the house anyway!
*sigh* life is tough at the moment!
But, more importantly, thoughts go out to other OS'ers.
Nicki I am so sorry to hear about your nana passing away. My thoughts and wishes are with you and your family at this difficult time. ((((hugs)))) to you.
((((Johanna)))) also sorry to hear about your nan. Take care of yourself.
Jo – v. exciting about your photography course! You mentioned editing, is that image editing or sound editing? I was going to buy the full package photoshop but a photographer friend of mine recommends Elements, just as good and a fraction of the price.
SOMO1 – glad you leg is better, we were worried about you J
PP – good luck at the hospital today
BargainRzl – not going out tonight, are you sure you are well? You are a person of super-human ability being able to go out all the time!!!
Kaz- hope your neighbours have stopped driving you mad and you can concentrate on some work…though if you’re reading this you’re not working!
((((moggins)))) crying yourself stupid is good for the soul, I’m so sorry to hear about your mum. Look after yourself, your mum will know you’re thinking of her.
Hi Shez – how is the keep fit going? I keep looking at my running book…but that is it so far!
BTW - welcome to all the newbies who have come on board recently.
Thanks to your inspirational threads (four days worth to catch up on!) I'm going to now tackle tidying my bedroom and cleaning the kitchen.
Catch you later.

:hello: Hello again!
Back from sunny Fuerteventura only to discover you have all had even hotter weather here! DD and I bonded on our week away, well we didn't fall out anyway!:D The Conservatory is now started, base, walls and electrics. Tomorrow they start on the windows, doors and roof.
Nicki and Johanne - So sorry to hear about your Nan. Hang on to all those good memories and when it all gets too much try to think of something happy or funny that she said. I did that at my Dads funeral. ((((HUGS))))
Moggins (((((HUGS))))) hope dd feels better soon. So sorry to hear your Mums not well.
Shez Enjoy those extra 2 weeks, what a bonus for you especially in this weather!
BargainRzl Like your idea of a spreadsheet re alchohol intake, think I could do with one after the amount we drank at the mini meet!:o Hope work is going ok.
Snowyowl Hope you get some quality sleep soon! My cats purring normally sends me off!
I too am thinking about how Catowen is getting on with a hurricane heading her way! They do seem to be prepared out there though and look after the holiday makers.
Well of to sort out more of the holiday washing.

Afternnoon all!
Well, thanks to MP sending positive vibes my way I woke after a nap (fell asleep after lunch) and cracked on with my accounts. I've now done April 05 to September 05 so nearly half way through that year also.

Catch up with you all later,

It's me - considerably calmer I might add.
Tootles: I found the effects of Xenical very unpredictable - large salad? running to the loo - curry? nothing. Good idea in theory but it doesn't allow for people sleeping, travelling etc. however now I am on the fruit so I may have the same effects!!!
Ate fruit all day - apart from lunch when one of the other secretaries (whom I don't know that well and from what I've seen I don't like much) had a "do" as she is getting married soon. Bit of a spread - dips etc but I was good and had crudites, a bit of dip, some ritz crackers with philly on (apparently much heralded as the height of sophistication!) and a bit of a ginger cake. Actually, you'll all find this really funny. Rather pompous and "keep up with the jones's" secretary announced that she'd baked two cakes. well, this may sound awful but you know when you taste cakes and they taste just too "fluffy" - plus they have the marks from the cake cases that go halfway up the side of the cake.......... anyway, when she said this I smiled to myself. A couple of months ago another secretay left and I baked a couple of cakes for her do and everyone raved about them/didn't know people still home baked etc. Anyway, I just smiled sweetly today and said "Oh, did I start a home baking rush?"yes, I know, but I couldn't help it besides if they were home baked I'm a dutchman...... her face was like thunder!!! :rotfl: I also have to say that I didn't hear anyone asking her for the recipes and yet I had to type mine out and mail them all over the hospital...... <<smug>> DH hasn't built the wall - but he has laid the bricks out so he'll know how high to do it.......
and here was me thinking that's what tape measures were for........ Nor has he done the letters or been to the post office for me again. And the washer is on as we speak becuse he only put the bedding on before he went to work and that means I'll have to get it dried before I go to bed and try and put it on the bed with a dodgy shoulder or else I'll have to get the spare set out - oh, I could go on......... anyway, I have "borrowed" my dictation machine from home to type my private clinics in the coolness of my own house. I will check in later.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Sometimes you just can't give stuff away
I freecycled my old tv - 29 inch, fully working and had emails within 4 minutes. I decided to offer it to the person who had emailled first - no response. Am now on the 3rd responder, who sounds like a nice lady but who won't be here till Saturday. Ah well, another item still to dustShe was saying that freecycle isn't as good as when she joined last year becasue people keep letting her down.
We also have rain - and I still haven't cut the grass. Was going to dothat this evening, but have just managed to get the washing in before it got soaked again. It's in the TD because I need to iron it all tonight. Mind you, I'm soooo tired - stayed up last night till the BM had finished, when I could happily have been in the land of nod from about 10pm.
Anyway, boys are at a neighbours house for a while so I'll crack on with their rooms. See ya later
