    Hi all

Seems some of us are having 'one of those weeks' so ((((hugs)))) to all.

Had a lovely afternoon taking some piccies today and braved work, but didn't see ex-OH. He still hasn't called, even though I pathetically emailed him on Sunday begging him too :( Far too Bridget Jones!

Off to London tomorrow to meet up with some close friends, sorry to not arrange a meet up with people, I promise to next time :)

Have great weekends all, I might try to log in first thing tomorrow.

    Take care

Good morning smokey, and everyone else,

A quiet day here, only one little one here, and no real plans, so i think it will be a trip to the park, or a day in the garden.
DS had his football presentation last night (the proper club one) and was presented with a lovely glass plaque with his name engraved on it. Its lovely, although it didnt last long (just over half an hour and it was the under 9s and 10s having their presentation)!!!! So we all had a drink in the football club afterwards. On Sunday, the managers have arranged another presentation so that should be fun, they have some trophies to give out, and us mums are doing the food. They are also having a sponsered back wax to raise funds for the boys to go abroad in the next year or so to join in tournements against foreign clubs, so we really have a good reason to support the club.
Right, little one will be here soon, think i will have some breakie, and do some cleaning before having another go in the garden, didnt do to badly yesterday, hopefully i got the weeds and not flowers tho!!!!
Have a lovely day, hope the weather is as nice where you are as it is down here!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Good morning all :j

It's a lovely day today - the sun is shining and it's lovely and warm. Shame I've got to go to w**k

I'm just about to pop in the bath, but WM is on and one load is drying on the line - lovely! DD is dressed, as is DH - I'm not :p

Having my shopping delivered tonight - my goodness I must have ordered enough for a month!!!!

(((((hugs))))) to all that need them - enjoy the sunshine.

    Morning all!

I was up a bit late this morning so this is a quick post to say

I watched the last episode of series 2 of lost last night - v exciting and still many more questions thrown up as per usual! Work was pretty boring yesterday, no more news on the progress of getting another day off work, and the house is reasonably clean so not much to do this weekend (:D - lots of relaxation for me!). I cut my finger though - I was opening a bottle of nail varnish which was a little stuck, it broke, I cut my finger and I spilled nail varnish all over myself. Clever huh?

Will post later - must dash now!

    Morning everyone

JW1096 - Meant to say yesterday that you will love having a day off during the week. For the past five years I have always had at least one day off (now its two) and it makes such a difference. I could never go back to Monday to Friday

Smokey - You sound a wee bit down. Hope things improve (and you get a good nights sleep tonight).

    On today's to-do list is:

    - Go to library to return books
    - Go to bank to pay in a cheque
    - Go to post office and post cheque for balance of holiday :j
    - Go to shops and get something new to wear and present for a birthday party tomorrow night
    - Clean and tidy as much of the house as possible

Hubby is possibly finishing work at 10 this morning (this is getting to be a habit). He wanted to come to the shops with me. I have refused due to the fact he has no patience for shopping and wants home after 10 minutes

Last night he really shocked me as I was saying I had seen really cute little girls shoes in a shoe shop and he said "why don't we make a little person with little feet to put in them"!!!! Although we have casually discussed this before this was the first time he has said anything along those lines. However I don't think I am ready yet as the whole process scares me and we don't have a big enough house.

Hope everyone has a fab Friday

    Good Morning

Smokey112 - I know what you mean OH on nights this week and am gettting lovely sleep.

Ageandjo - Glad youre feeling better

    Catoewn - Enjoy your gardening

SOMO1 - sorry youve got to go to w**k but if its any consolation there's no sunshine her yet.

Skystar - I was petrified when we first started seriously thinking about children (we were also in a flat then) but one day it just felt right and 6 months later had another scary time when actually got pregnant - but obv too late to change our minds then!

JW1096 - Jo would just like to say you have really inspired me with yesterdays post. I actually work from home but tend to do work when its piled up - housework then gets behind so I do that then paperwork then gets behind and I do that and so on & so on. I have now decided to give myself poper working hours and have one day off probably wed which will be my day - Im not crafty myself so it prob will be shopping or beauticians etc or just laying down and reading. Weekends will then be for the children and I wont begrudge them for taking up 'me' time so thank you as it has given me a push in the right direction.

Well just finished coffee and going to have a tidy up and dust downstairs - cant hoover yet as dd still in bed. Also want to do 3 loads of washing before head out for lunch at the pictures at 12.

As i said no sunshine here yet but just going to check the forecast & hopefully will get washing on the line.

Have a great day all - its Friday!!:j

    Morning all :hello:

Just a quick post on here as I need to get sorted to go down to London. My dad is being given the Freedom of the City of London (sounds posher than it actually is) in some 10 min ceremony. The main benefit of it? He's able to drive (ie with sheep dog and whistle) his sheep across London Bridge! The main problem of it? He'd stop all traffic and he doesn't have any sheep. ;) Anyway, it's going to be a nice day out and he's paying for OH and I to stay down there overnight! (and my mum, dad and brother)

We went shopping yesterday and using John Lewis vouchers that we'd got from Pigsback managed to buy presents for the ushers at our wedding! ;) I've got my eye on Waterford candle votives for my chief bridesmaid. :D

Anyway, got to rush and get ready.
