Good afternoon everyone
Big hugs to all who need them - actually, that's probably everyone!
A couple of hours peace & quiet here, as DS is doing his "Saturday" job today instead. I dropped him off at work on the way back from his piano lesson.
Washing has been washed, dried - on the line! - , ironed & put away (miracle of miracles!)
Cleaning done; D/w emptied & next lot in.... once I've sorted out what's for dinner I shall be wondering what on earth to do!
I think I shall go out for a walk - get some exercise.
Have a good day

:hello: Hope all have a good day and that the weather holds for everyone.
Yesterday we went to Bradford film and photography museum.:j Took dad and ds. Parking is good (just round the back) and was not very expensive at £2.80 for 6 hours. We took a picnic (they have a lovely, clean, indoor picnic area). It is free entry too to most of the museum which was good and we used some of the clubcard deal tokens and went into the imax cinema which cost us £3.80 instead of the full £18.80.:T It was fantastic........I would really recommend a visit. The picture was a 3D moon walk where bits of the ground were coming at you! It was a great day for £6.60 for 4 of us.:D
Tonight I am going to a body shop party at my sisters with a friend that I made through freecycle. Hoping to have a laugh and a giggle with the girls. Not buying as dh is still off work with his hand.:o
Anyway, I must go and prep some dinner as we are having it early and a sandwich later as ds has cubs tonight too.
TTFN:wave:The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
Afternoon all. Another lie in for me this morning only this time I got to sleep through until 9am, excluding getting woken up by OH to let me know he was leaving for work and would lock the door behind him  but stayed in bed (sort off) until 11am
:grouphug: to everyone today, especially those who are ill /feeling off
Up for just over an hour and I have stripped DD's bed (bad cold has required her bed being changed almost daily  ), changed the quilt on our bed BACK to the winter one after OH (being helpful so I can't really complain) put the summer one on as it was in the drawer with the clean bedding  , DD is dressed and fed, 1 batch of dishes washed, 1 load of slightly-damp-from-yesterday towels out on the line to finish off and another load in the washing machine which has just finished :T 2 loads of washing (both smallish, but one is mostly bedding) left to do and LOADS of ironing.
DD is really off today, everything is making her cry (she's ill and tired, although she won't admit to being tired  ) so I'm going to go sort her out, make up her bed and send her for a rest for at least an hour after dosing her up on some more medicine. Might put the box tissues and bin in her room as well. Then I'll put a film on (maybe X-men 2 since I only got to watch half of it the other night) and attack the two crates of ironing I've got to do :wall:

Long time no speak
Have been totally side tracked for the last month or two and just havent been posting! Sowwwwwy!!! Between personal problems, ISP problems, being genreally busy, starting my OU course and last but not least a new boyfriend (wiwoo!) ive just not had time to sit and get engrosed on the threads like usual!
Anyway... today i have gotten up and tidied the living room, done a bit more reading for my course.. cleaned some paintbrushes (OH is a painter and has gone to cyprus for the week and didnt get chance to clean his brushes from work before he left yesterday) so my kitchen was a mess by time id finished... so had to clean that! :rotfl: Then Sainsburys delivered my monthyl big order (free delivery) .... so been putting that away. Also am trying to defrost my freezer!! So the contents are currently in Iceland bags wrapped in a king size winter quilt under the stairs!
Need to go the post office later if i get the chance to post an ebay parcel... + go the bank couple of doors down to bank some cash as bills are due out in a few days!
Going to maybe try and bake something later.. dunno yet.. depends on my mood! hehe! I did make black saturns fruit cobbler the other night for the first time... and OMG it was delicious!! Used normal apples and served with lashings of cornish ice cream! Myself and OH both had seconds!:j
Have a good afternoon/evening everyone *hugs*0 -
:hello: Hello!
Late on here as life has just got a tad chaotic here at the Catz household! We were informed yesterday that the conservatory (something we have wanted for years :j ) that we thought was going ahead in 6 weeks time is now to be started on Monday!
I have spent the day getting some help organised to clear the garden, move the greenhouse and provide access for the builders. Also had to find a cheap skip at very short notice and all with 2 days to go before I go away with dd, leaving Mr Catz to deal with it all on Monday!:D He will need to make lots of :coffee: before he can  so I must go and get a good supply of teabags, coffee, milk and cookies for him.
Breakfast today was a smoothie (using up fruit in fruitbowl)
Lunch - an interesting concoction comprising boiled rice, nut cutlet (from sorting out freezer), stir-fried with some chopped up cherry tomatoes and some chilli sauce. It was surprisingly nice actually!
Dinner - Chicken, pesto, spaghetti bake.
DD home tonight, hopefully with all she needs for holiday. Only 2 more sleeps!:D
(((((Hugs))))) JackieO - thinking of you! Treasure the good memories you have. Lost a good friend 6 years ago and in amongst the sadness I do occasionally have a giggle over the good times.
love CatzxOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

err...
I don't!
It is so rare for me to be that organised -that's why I felt the need to mention it!:o
Up until last week, I had a basket full of un-ironed stuff in the conservatory and another pile hiding in the spare bedroom:o
So I am feeling pleased with myself :j ...
... but not so pleased that I want to do any more than I have to:D0 -
Afternoon
All my vital w**k tasks for the day are done, and my boss left at 3pm, so am definitely leaving the office at 5pm on the dot for once. Am just trying to decide whether to take a bus up to the Hackney Empire Theatre for a performance there at 7pm, or to make the most of an early getaway and go straight home
It's an event I go to every year, but usually it's held in a venue that's much closer to my office so am still a bit undecided. Think I'll probably go though. I spent £7.10 in 5 minutes at lunchtime  £5.50 on the rare treat of a takeaway lunch (yummy beef soy curry) and £1.60 on some handmade fudge  but have been running about £8 under budget for the week so was able to take it. Am annoyed with myself because if I hadn't overslept this morning, I'd have brought my own packed lunch as usual and would still have a big budget cushion  Lovely to see you back Johanne
Ticklemouse - congrats to your Freecycle buddy - one of my colleagues will be a first-time grandfather a few hours from now (there's a lot of it about at the moment!) ((((hugs)))) to anybody else in need Rzl
