    Sixth Anniversary
    Morning everyone

Still on cloud nine today after my win!!!! Just having trouble now finding somewhere to park the car as DH doesnt want to drive into the centre of London as we dont know our way around. I know i have to get the tube to shepherds bush so trying to find somewhere more on the outskirts to leave the car because dont really want to have to book somewhere for the night just for a parking space!!!!!!! We would rather drive up, see the concert and then drive home. Will have to get DH to see if he can sort something out via the internet tomorrow night.

Got to list some stuff on ebay today and do some washing but thats it for today!!!!

Hugs to those that need them

    Hi all
Just a quick post from me today, as I'm not in a good mood & don't want to whinge.
I love the idea of your hobby day Jo. I get so tired of always working, I don't have any real debt apart from my mortgage but the constant struggle of working full time Monday to Friday at one job, Saturday at another job & taking in lodgers get to me sometimes. Whereas my ex who is 53 & a year younger than me retired after gaining the bulk of everything in our divorce!!!
Still whinge over, onwards & upwards. Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hester

    Morning

Queenie, what a fantastic idea! Made me smile but a very worthwhile thing to do!

JackieO - hope your not feeling too bad. Funerals aren't the best of things but they sometimes help with the final goodbyes

PP, you should go on the holiday. I'm sure they can't do anything bad about it. Your DD sounds like she is doing just fine with her schooling anyway!!

Am aching this morning so I suppose that means that the video did me some good last night

    Breakfast - Fruit and Fibre
Lunch - chicken, cottage cheese and brown bread
    Tea - chicken curry

Have a great day to anyone I haven't mentioned

    Morning all

Thank you to everyone for their lovely messages and hugs yesterday, in particular tiptoes, ticklemouse, PP (hope the painkillers have kicked in), melabarrie, Essex-girl, Kazonline (I dread bumping into him at work!! I like your car sign ;) ) Shez (er, which is DH and OH? He’s my OH, but divorce only came through from husband last month, which did feel very odd, even though it was the right thing to do...everything seems to be happening at once!), nuttyrockeress, catowen, AussieLass and all others who sent virtual hugs my way! Sorry I didn’t respond. I’m finding life rather difficult at the moment and it really helps knowing such lovely people.

I’ve only just woken up, I seem to be sleeping in at the moment as I’m not very motivated to get out of bed, but maybe resting is a good thing. Today I’m going to sort out my budget for this month, post an Amazon book (hurrah) and finish tidying my bedroom.

I’ve just received a letter from my solicitor, it seems all may not be lost as the vendor might/might not completely pull out *sigh*. My solicitor ended his letter with ‘it would seem that patience must be your virtue’. He’s a very good solicitor – who also likes steam trains :D

Hey JW – welcome back, we were worried about you :D That sounds like a great idea having a day off work, I’d like to do that. As I’m off sick at the moment I’m off to do some photography at the moment. I’ve just joined an online art community where you can post your work, let me know if you want me to PM the details to you. Lots of inspiring stuff up there. Not at all selfish, a brilliant thing to do.

Hugs ((JackieO)), yesterday must have been hard for you, as you say at least she is out of pain.

Hi ageandjo – I can’t think of any charities, but is there a local college near you that offers a landscape/gardening course? Maybe there would be some students interested in helping you out?

Ooh, Lucie, sorry to hear about your crash. I hope you are ok, it can leave you feeling a bit shook up, can’t it? Good luck at the garage.

Smokey112 – I hope today isn’t too traumatic for you.

Hugs to FunkyFairy – hope you feel better soon.

Harduphester - have a moan, it is good for you!! Sorry that you are finding it tough at the mo.

And HELLOO to everyone else I haven’t mentioned :D

Have a good day all. The sun is out here, so life isn’t all bad.

    Many ((((hugs)))) to all.

    Hello everyone :hello:

((hugs)) to those in need - whether throught illness, sadness or just feeling plain low and/or stressed out (the kids are back at school next week :D)

Lucie - can you get anyone to check the car out? If the brakes are dodgy, then it's not fit for sale etc so you should have some comeback. Either way I like Vicky's idea of sitting outside their place with your picnic - a nice BIG notice telling the passing trade about their dodgy cars might make them buck their ideas up too. Give Trading Standards a ring - they may be interested.

Anyway - after our mammoth baking day yesterday, I've just left the boys to it in the kitchen with a couple of dozen fairy cakes and assorted colours of icing and sprinkles. Doesn't matter what they look like - i won't be eating them :rotfl: I have a dozen banana muffins and an all bran cake to go at. It was my first go at muffins and they aren't 100% - must make more as practice makes perfect

I have a load of washing ready to go on the line and another load to go in. It's a lovely day so may try and sort out the garden later - but before then I promised mum I'd plant all her bedding plants. I need to go to the tip as well to recycle all my cardboard - it's taking over the garage. Also, I can bin the assorted bags of rubbish and broken toys that I have removed from the boys' rooms - mainly without them knowing :D

I've just handed over my high chair to someone who came to freecycle my printer. He was going to come for it on monday night - but she went into labour and they now have a little girl - aaahhhh. I thought that's what might have happened :)

Anyway - have a lovely day everyone and look after yourselves.

    TM xxx

ps Jo - your hobby is day is not selfish at all. As you say, life is too short and you need some 'me' time. It gets so much harder when you have a family, so do what you want to now hun. (sending jealous vibes your way :rotfl: )

Hi ronankfan, great news about the tickets.

When I drive up to London I park near where I used to live in Twickenham and then get the train from there (bus then train from Twickers) or a train from Strawberry Hill. I only go there as it is so easy to get to from the SouthWest, 5 minutes off the motorway.

    Morning all,

Another w**k day today, but I have turned the page on my calendar and I can now see the pink highlighted square on 30th June which marks my last day at w**k! :j

DS is a grandma's today as it is half term here. He is going away next week with his dad and that means he is taking a week off school. I'm not too worried as he is doing very well and is working with Yr6 for Maths when he is only in Yr5, but how typical is it of a man to book a holiday the week after the kids are off school?

I need to visit the new Netto tonight that opened this morning to buy OH a kettle, toaster, sandwich maker and kitchen clock for £29.99. I hope they have some left as I won't get there until after tea. Fingers crossed!

    B: Muesli & Orange Juice
D: Ham roll, salad & yoghurt brought from home
T: Salmon fillet with Baked potato and salad

Have a good day everyone and (((hugs))) to those who have lost friends or family recently.

    Morning everyone.

I'm again struggling for motivation this morning. I was going to get up when DH did, but i felt really crap - like i hadn't had any sleep. I stayed in bed till 9:30, but i still feel shattered and achy, and headachey. I'm hoping it is just because we had a late night. DH rang me up and asked if i wanted to meet up with some friends and do the pub quiz, so we didn't get in till 12, as the pub is where we used to live (half an hour away). I felt bad saying no as it is half term, and i should make the effort as DH is always so good with me. He didn't even make me drive, which was good as i was shattered.

Unfortunately, or fortunately we are out again tonight as DH's auntie and uncle are visiting his cousin, again back in Sheffield, and they have invited us out for a meal. We have to be there by 7, so i'm hoping it won't be quite as late as last night.;)

I've managed to do the internet banking/monthly savings sort out, so i've updated my signature. We haven't put that much in this month because of unexpected bills/ fines. This month may be quiet too as DH has his cycling weekend in 2 weeks. For a freebie holiday, it is costing a fortune.

Plan for today, i still need to do a few hours marking. (I'm now about half way through when i should be 2/3rds through.) I will then have a bath and a bit more of a snooze this afternoon so i'm not a party pooper.

Hugs to those in need. It seems like life goes through phases doesn't it with marriages, christenings and funerals. They always happen in clusters.

Come back sunshine so we can all feel a bit cheerier.

    Hello everybody,

This will be a short post as I"ve only just gotten home, it's 8.15pm now and House starts in 15 minutes. :D Went to town this arv and bought myself a new bag & wallet as well as some groceries. I thought I deserved it. :p I've been rather good lately.

I forgot to tell you, DD has bought herself a much needed "friend" a few weeks ago. She's named her Dolly. So "Wally Trolley" now has a mate. :D

Queenie great idea, I know where to come when I don't know the answers. 29_2_4.gif

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello again,

Queenie - i love that idea think a lot of us on here will be copying your idea when the time comes!!!!

Having a good day so far, its absolutly beautiful outside (sorry to all those with bad weather!!) so half the children are out there playing (hope they are dodging my washing!!!) the other few are drawing in the kitchen, so lots of happy children, which means happy Catherine!!!!
Felling most proud of myself, as i plucked up the courage to phone sky and threaten to cancel, and they have offered me 3 months half price!!!! I also found a freephone number to call, so saved there as its normally an 0870 number, and im going to be really good, and put my £21.25 saving in the mortgage pig!!!!!
Right, going to have a go at the weeds in the garden now, before getting lunch ready and then putting the 2 little ones to bed!
Have a good day everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
