Morning.
I've been up since about 5:40, which is strange for me as i was working till 11pm and went to bed poopered. I had left a load in the WM oernight, so first thing i did was sort the cats out, put the recycling out into the garage, and then get the towels pegged out. I've got a load of jumpers in that have just finished, so will peg them out in a moment.
I have looked at Troo's weather map and i think i might escape the rain here. Fingers crossed. i don't normally leave washing out while at work for that reason.
Food for the day:
b: weetabix and banana
L: cheese and mayo sarnie, bag of crisps, fruit and yoghurti'm going to salvage a portion of chicken curry from the freezer. Always better reheated in my opinion.
I still have 99 papers to mark to meet my deadline of today. I think i may be a busy bee today. My plan is to do some now and then get out of work the very first minute that i can to try to finish. SH won't get home till 2am from his trip, so i may end up in bed then. I think it may be a long old day.
Lots of love,
Michelle, xx0 -
Morning OSers!
It is raining heavily today. I looked out of my bedroom window and there are things strewn around in my neighbours gardens that will surely be casualties of the laziness a fine spell brings. Barbecues left uncovered, a woodworking project left out on the garden, some tools, a bike, etc. We soon get lulled into a sense of security don't we? You would think we would learn that British weather is unpredictable wouldn't you?
Back to w**k again today. A temp is starting today for me to hand over my job to. Only three weeks to go! Yay!!! Hopefully that will mean I can sort out some things I have been meaning to get done, like my ECDL excel exam.
I had the BM on yesterday for the first time in ages. I had forgotten how delicious it tastes! I received my free compost bin from the local council so it is now happily installed in a sunny corner of my garden, awaiting my kitchen scraps. I am waiting for my water butt kit, but I understand there is a long lead time as the supplier has been inundated with orders. I could have done with it this morning, I would have had my first rainwater harvest!
Spent a couple of hours at mum's yesterday, baking in the greenhouse. I had to pot on some more tomatoes, as well as some chillies and peppers. I also planted some courgette plants into a little spot just behind the greenhouse. Hopefully we will get a crop of sorts later in the year.
Must dash, need to get ready for the dreaded w**k. At least I won't feel too bad about being stuck indoors today.
The rain will soften the ground in the garden so I can get some digging done too. (Heavy clay soil here goes like concrete in dry weather, hence the need for compost to loosen it up a bit!)
I also joined a women only marathon training group with the intention of running the Amsterdam Marathon in October. We had our first run on Sunday morning and ran (very slowly) for an hour. I'm sure my posts will become running-obsessed as the training progresses!
Have a great day all.

Morning all. Better night's sleep. 2 chicks hopping about their box. Hope to post photo later.
VickyA, sorry we missed you last night, how was the barbie? We put our extra meat frm Friday's barbie in the freezer for next time (which will be tomorrow if the weather holds) Got off the M1, but couldn't find the sign saying "VickyA's house", so came home. Tiramisu delish, btw.
PP, hope you feel better soon.
Queenie, rabbit and chicken. Sounds good. Let us know how it tastes, DH keeps bringing back rabbits, and I'm running out of ideas for cooking them. Now, there's another thread............
Troo and Chick, raining!! You lucky things!! We need it here, to water my little veggies.
Chick, go compost girl!
Michelle, haven't you been busy. Don't wear yourself out, hun.
All weekend in the garden, so house needs mega tidy. Need to iron, too, but it's too hot. Washed my sports bra o/n, but only just got it on the line. I may be running in a wet bra. That may be quite cooling, though.

Good Morning All
Bad nights sleep last night as DS who had fillings on Wed has devloped an abcess...he's not a happy bunny and one side of his face resembes a football so he was tossing and turning in my bed most of the night. So he is home today and am just waiting to phone the dentist at 8.30.
Its sooo hot here already. Have got to clean kitchen and really need to hoover and iron so will attempt that after made phone call. Its meant to get cooler tomm - I hope so. I do hate moaning when its hot but its not pleasant when youve things to do.
Was going to start my new routine today where I work in the office from 10.30 till 2 and fit housework in before and after, after a few weeks of this should be pretty much ahead of myself so will be able to reduce the office hours. Also will be having Wed/Thurs off as 'my' day. But looks like my plans are out the window for today but I really must make sure Im up straight for the beg of the 6 weeks hol.
Anway off now, have a great day all - keep cool, and for those of you with rain - keep dry.0
