TM - have you noticed on the freecycle nowadays there seems to be alot of people "wanting everything" rather than offering??? I think some people are taking advantage, also Ive often wondered if people get this stuff off people like us and then go sell it on ebay or something? I am hoping the majority of people are "good" but I cant help thinking its getting abused now by a small minority.0

Time for bed for me. Office and kitchen clean & tidy (except for cupboard door that has broken again and this time I've no idea how to fix it - kitchen is 34 years old - one year my senior, lol)
I've a chicken in the S/C (a first for me, never tried a whole chicken in it!), another very healthy wholemeal loaf in the B/M (in the absence of vit C tabs it has a few crushed tabs that containvits a, c, E & selenium !!)
D/W is on, as is W/M. So tired I can barely think - let alone spell
Hope you all get a good nights sleep and have a good day tomorrow,
Best wishes,

Shez - I've only just joined freecycle, but I am aware from other posts that there are people out there who are just out to sell things on. TBH - if they want to take a 29inch 10 year old tv away - good on them
I can't lift it and I just want rid. I've had a look on ebay - and I might make £5
The other things I've given have gone to a "genuine" couple so I've been happy with that.0 -
Morning Guys!
Not a good night here for me. Got about 4hrs kip, have taken some more pain killers and hopefully these will help:rolleyes:
WM will be going on in a while and clothes hung outside to dry. DW is empty and toilet cleaned.
Today I MUST get on with my essay and try and get brain into gear. Hopefully there will be more of a breeze today so that Im not too stuffy.
SIL is either here today or Wednesday and have a few odd jobs for her to do and me ironing. Shes looking after our place next week whilst we're away and going to come in and do some deep steam cleaning and sorting out of cupboards etc.
We have to phone round garages this morning as the clutch has gone on our car (well nearly!) and will no way get us to Yorkshire (250 miles) and back to get prices for a new one inc fitting. Anyone any ideasWe are due a newer a car but dont want to do till we have paid up the CC and can pay cash, which will be about Jan/Feb 2007. The car we have ATM is guzzling the petrol as its an SRI but would rather spend £300 on a new clutch than 5k on a new car. Mum has offered to rent a car for the week, but TBH, the £180 could go towards the clutch and then it will only cost us £120. She has just said to go buy a new one with all the 0%, but I dont want to be paying £200 per month for the next 4 years! Fingers X'd everyone that we can get a good price and that it be done this week.
Hopefully DD's hayfever will be better today. Her lunchbox is half done as its too hot to put the yogurt, frozen sarnie and biscuit in there just yet. Also put a small carton of water in the freezer, so that should keep her lunch pretty cool:cool:
Anyway, Im going to go and maybe do a little reading for the old essay. Hope everyone is OK and hugs to those that are not!
Breakie: Toast & Marmalade

Morning everyone!
It's damp and drizzly over here in N.Ireland. And cool too. Sorry if that makes you envious, I know how hot and uncomfortable it has been in GB lately.
I had a worrying night last night, yet again caused by my naughty kitty Teddy. He decided to go for a nice long wander, and didn't ask permission. I called and called but nothing - didn't go to bed until around 2.00 am hoping he'd come back. I've only just let him in. As I mentioned it has been raining here and so one very wet, dirty and bedraggled long-haired kitty came back, feeling very sorry for himself. I'm glad to see him though, it'd break my heart if he didn't come back (God forbid).
Hope everyone is OK out there - I know my troubles are few compared to many, so big hugs to anyone who needs them today.
All the best for a fab Monday.

:hello: Morning Everyone
The gulls are being extremely noisey this morning, so been awake since 5am. Not a problem, simply means I've now got a washload on and it will be ready to put out shortly
Moggins, hope you're feeling better this morning, heat can be really debilitating! That's when my SC comes into it's own, saves heating the house up further.
Soon as my chicken was cooked yesterday, threw in a fresh rabbit. Unfortunately, ended up on the phone for longer than I expected so it cooked for quite a whileWe'll see how 'nice' it is later
Off out today for a woodland walk and a good girlie chat with a friend of mine. So, very little happening on the OS front and I don't feel in the least guilty
Enjoy your Moneysaving Monday everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning
I've been up since 4am, the washing machine's on but it's raining so I can't put it out to dry.
OOOOH BIG THUNDER as I type :rotfl:
Haven't done any ironing for a week, it's been too hot. Which means I have to do some in a minute cos everyone's clothes for today are in a heap in the cupboard lol.
Moggins I hope you feel better today, it's much cooler now.
I might walk to the office in the rain. OR I might just stay home, I haven't decided yetBulletproof0 -
