Gosh Queenie, two years old! He's a young man, definitely out of kittenhood and adolescence. Perhaps he got the whiff of a lady cat's perfume and this caused his temporary lapse in manners, specially since he's still got his love bits.

Snowy - furbaby 2yrs old now (is that feline adolescence? ) Oh yes, he did get the 'facts of life' talk at the same time - do it again, chum and you'll get your lumpy bits chopped  He's due a visit to the vets later this month anyway, so I think I shall book him in. He's a housecat and I have not intentions of breeding from him, so his lumpy bits aren't 'required' for much else other than decoration.
Penny - will you accept a compensatory :coffee: ;)

    Morning All

and hugs all round to those who need/want/deserve them and also to those who don't - it is Sunday after all.

Well after last nights barbecue at my sisters I have been up since 4 am - in and out of the loo with my bum on fire - ate way too many hot chilis! My own fault.

Also in a quandary what to do about my neighbours. We only have one neighbour - and we are their only neighbour too - they've been next door for about 6 years and lets just say theyre a bit 'rough'. Ie foul language at the tops of their voices out in the garden day and night, police have been to domestics a few times - called by their kids ( 3 kids non of which have the same set of two parents) , he has recently been done for assaulting a police officer, the front and back gardens are full of cars which are taken apart and never put back together - get the picture? All very sad as this is a nice rural area - not a nasty run down estate or anything like that... and please dont think i'm a snob - just trying to give you the full picture.

Anyway a few weeks ago iposted that their dog ( pit bull cross ) had grabbed ours through afence and had bitten his neck and ear badly enough to need stitches. Sme dog has now attacked a cat i have kind of adopted ( stray domesticated but lives out in my shed and i feed her ) and broken some ribs leading to a weeks staty at the vets and costing me a fortune.

I havent told the vet or anyone else it was the same dog although i want to and in truth i want that dog put down - but the neighbours would KNOW it was me who blew the whistle on them due to me being the only neighbour etc - and im seriously worried how they would react - violence is not something theyre afraid to use. But i am really genuinely concerned that that dog will bite and harm a child next. What would you do?

Sorry thats all taken so long - really needed to get it off my chest.

Os wise - have just picked this summers first broad beans and dug the most amazing root of new potatoes - 28 potatoes on one root!!! Will behaving that with chicken for lunch ( 2 for £5 at tescos ). Making banana splits for pudding.. then tomorrow i am starting a strict diet as i really need to lose three stone.

Baking bread today as well as making eccles cakes ( delias recipe for quick and easy flaky pastry ) an apple and summer fruit tart, munchkin cakes and blancmange.

Off now to do a pile of ironing before it gets too warm then im off to watch my 8 year old neice do the race for life.

Not going to church but will be saying prayers for nana and your family nicki and johanna.

 Tricky one this. You need to decide which you'd find harder to deal with - more injuries, or damaged neighbour relations. Only you can say which, as only you know the full situation.

However, neighbours won't necessarily know it was you - the dog could attack someone else's dog in the street, possibly?

Is that any help, or just waffle?

    thatnks both
i certainly dont care if my the neighbours never speak to me again - i just have a nagging feeling that they could make my life hell - i have seen him beat his wife in the street and have violent temper tantrums and i worry what he could do -

i do want to take action - my neice and nephew visit me often and i dont want one of them to be savaged by this dog - so i think queenie is right and a call to CAB is called for.

    Morning everyone!!

Beautiful day in both the Derbyshire peaks and Sheffield!! (I've just driven home!!) I'm going to try and work out how to post a picture when I get in from work so that I can show off to you all about the view I wake up to at my mum's house!!!

Back at w**k today :( really don't want to go and wish I'd booked an extra week off!!! Still no washing to be done, and I have a cottage pie in the freezer for tonight because I know I'll be in no mood to cook!!!! Still no news from future landlord yet - we're supposed to be moving next weekend but still have no idea whether the flats will be built yet

OH is still at this pool party thing - no idea when he'll be home but I doubt I'll see anything of him when he does appear!

Cats was FANTASTIC yesterday - a really good show and I'd reccomend it to anybody who hasn't already seen it (although please don't sit at the end of a row because you get a horny tomcat gyrating at you and various others singing whilst staring into your eyes very embaressing!!!)

Oh well, best go get ready for w**k - a suit in this weather is madness honestly :(

Big hugs to all those who need them, especially those who have lost a loved one or are worrying about those who are sick *kisses*

    Morning everyone :hello:

Had a disturbed sleep last night. OH's "work" phone started ringing at 6am   and he's not even on call. Needless to say, I was the one who heard it and he was still snoring loudly! He's been up trying to sort out their problems and is now threatening to send out offensive e-mails to those people who have caused all the problems

OH and I are looking through brochures for cottages in the Lake District for next year's February half term. All the ones we like are well out of our budget and I've found some on the internet too for a short list. We're trying to resist going back to the one that we went to this year and trying a new area!

We've got some friends coming round this afternoon for a barbie. We got all the meat and salad bits from the farmers' market yesterday. OH should be starting to make the burgers soon.............

I've got to go and put out a load of washing that I did over night. It's bedding so I'll have to try to iron it before the friends come round . I hate ironing duvet covers!!!!! :D

    Morning all.

Broken wings - I found this link for you, it's a search on the new site provided by the goverment for access to your council.
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/AdvancedSearch/SearchResults/fs/en?NP=1&PO1=C&PI1=W&PF1=A&PG=1&RP=20&SC=__dgov_site&PT1=+neighbours
There seems to be a few links on the search that might give you some extra information while you wait for an appointment with the CAB. I hope you get something sorted

    Morning

I know I don't post much but I'm off work and thought I'd say hello for a change instead of just lurking.

I think for a change it's going to be a lovely day here in the granite city so I reckon a day of weeding, walking the dog and generally relaxing is called for. Woke up with a splitting headache this morning, could it be the heat?

Hopefully the OH will be off to the bowling club later, get him out from under my feet.

    Have a good day everyone!
