Evening all.
Not a good day here. Decided to risk a lie-in this morning only for mum to phone and say "we've had the call. Can OH take me the hospital?" You have never seen me move so fast. Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it, my nanna health wasn't good even before she went into hospital) my nanna passed away this morning. Nothing can really be done until Monday when places open so it's still a case of waiting again.
Nothing else really to say. Trying to keep busy I managed to change the beds and get 3 loads of washing done. Also went through all the boxes of stuff for ebay and decided that I'm going to donate 80% to the school fair as I just want this stuff out the house.
Off to go and set up the sega on the TV upstairs so I can do SOMETHING  Need to keep busy but I can't face cleaning  Might go for a bath later, before Navy NCIS, will have to see.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Tell me about it  . Ironically, she's only put herself in for two..... So when they ask why im handing in my notice, ill be slamming a print of the email on the desk along with a copy of the rota, saying 'that and double standards'.#KiamaHouse0 -

I also watched a couple of episodes of charmed. I'm currently working my way through each series via my DVD rental subscription. DH isn't around much to watch them, so why shouldn't i basically.
Charmed rocks! The last episode that was on living tv the other week was so sad but so good at the same time. I can happily waste a couple of hours in front of the box watching that!
Ive just woken up after taking an accidental nap, and have just been called by friends who are now on thier way over - so id better dash as I need to vaccuum and give the bathroom a wipe.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening!

If you have a favourite book/film/soap, you could name them after the characters. The bigger issue might just be, telling them apart! You can get "poultry rings" from Domestic Fowl Trust if that becomes an issue
moggins - grounding is a wonderful tool ... all the while you don't shoot yourself in the foot with itsorry you missed out on your planned day out. ((hugs)) Unlike toddlers, teens can have delayed reaction punishments and that way, you get a chance to pick and choose the time of the groundings which wouldn't interfere with your own plans. As for the oil, give it a soak in a soda crystal solution - works wonders on my oven gloves.
freya - woohoo!! Great news on the HA front! Hope you have fun at the birthday bbq and the children do you proud
Pooky - welcome homeThat's not a bad deal with the health club! Hope you enjoy many happy hours there and the health benefits which should naturally follow
twink - Hope you've had a lovely afternoon relaxing and reading. That's very good service on the stole delivery (it's a long time since I've heard that word) Bet you are getting very excited
Aussielass - ouchie! Hope dgs is feeling much, much better soonMy dd used to have the most awful earaches, to the point where she would literally be crawling along the floor in agony; my heart ached for her and in those days, the Dr wasn't too impressed to have his dinner party disrupted with an emergency phone call (turnip!) Enjoy your market and friends tomorrow.
purpleprincess - hope you feel better soon! Enjoy the BBQ tonight if you're well enough.
VickyA - Great finding local farm shops isn't itOur Farmers Market is only once a month here too and I don't always remember or get to it so I rely quite heavily on our Farm Shops. Popped into our favourite one today and my boys asked if they could have 50p to spend on fruit. I didnt' have any change and was paying by cheque anyway so instead, gave them one of the brown bags each and said they could put a handful of cherries each into their bags ...
silly billy, Queenie!!!! While I'm  ing over the produce they filled the flipping bags *full*. Hmm, how long will it take for one boy to eat a KILO of cherries? Cost me a small fortune!!! Mind you, I don't mind really because I'd rather they were munching on cherries happily than junk food. Plus, I can make some heat bags from the cherry stones
Note to self: visit farm shops *alone*
Rage - it's so lovely to see you posting again ... you do make me  I'll never hear the word 'arson' and think the same way again:laugh:
tootles - CongratUlations on the birth of your Grandson!! :T :T :T Sending lots of positive vibes his way. Sounds like a worrying time all round ((hugs))
Mushy - :rotfl: Very swankDelighted to read you are having a lovely day :T :T
Michelle - congrats on such a productive day:T
Snowy - pleased to hear you managed a midday kip! You obviously needed it.
smokey - Enjoy your relaxing evening
Jo - they don't deserve you at work! ((hugs))
Phew! It's been hot and sticky today!! If it's this hot in June, heaven help us come August!
Got some lovely veggies at the farm shop on our way after footie training. The very kind man even grabbed my box and took it to the car for mePity really because I'm strong enough and it would have been a mini arm workout, but it was a lovely old fashioned kind of gesture which is rare these days, so I let him and enjoyed the albeit brief pampering
Beach walk was short and sweet, too hot to sit around, too busy to paddle and the boys were behaving as if they tummies thought their throats had been cut! Methinks the call of their cherries was just too strong.
Got a lovely bottle of chilled sparkling water out of the fridge with some fresh lemon, just what the weather demands methinks, and I'm looking forward to catching up with BB shortly, I've developed a soft spot for Glynn and his "I'm cooking my first egg" chant :rotfl: Don't watch much TV but can't resist thisWill give me a chance to catch up on a cross stitch sampler I've been working on for ages, I wonder sometimes if it will ever be finished and when it is, if I'll still like it?
Chicken out defrosting for tomorrow - it can slow cook to save heating up the kitchen!
Sleep easy, OS'ers - hope all those enjoying bbq's don't get tipsy from drinking too much:wave:
