I went to Filey as a child on many holidays. It is lovely. I can not remember much about wheelchair access then again i was not looking at that.

Loads of lovely things to do and eat.

You will have a lovely time.

PP - when exactly are you off to Filey? I'm only wondering cos you asked Nels about meeting up, and as it happens, I've got a little jaunt north planned too to see Nels and TM - from 28th June to 1 July!

(I know you're near enough for me to see you any time hun, but wouldn't it be funny if it was all at the same time?) :D

    Hi everyone ,
just got back from the arthritis clinic where a kind smiley lady stuck a HUGE needle in my shoulder. I was assured that altough I have to have my arm in a sling for a couple of days the injection will help my shoulder joint which has started to sieze up.
I hope so as I do my law GCSE next Wednesday and I am right-handed. Lots of writing involved.
At the moment I am typing this veeery slooowly as I only have one working hand .
Still the sun is shining and I managed to buy an electric mower at the auction on Sunday for a fiver so I am a happy bunny.:money: My grandaughter is coming home from her holiday in Malta tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing her.
Hope everyone is having a good day
Cheers from one-armed Jackie in Kent:rotfl:
only18 more days until I fly to Amsterdam to see Robbie Williams :j :j

Didn't post earlier as I had one of those mornings from hell  It began when my alarm clock didn't go off  Managed to scrape through, but DD didn't want to wear her school summer dress as she had PE today, and she struggles to take it off. This resulted in tears and tantrums and me taking yesterdays summer dress (which has buttons all the way down so she can manage that quite nicely thank you) out of the wash basket and spraying with febreze :p Then ordering some new dresses from M&S so we don't have a repeat performance (using the free delivery code of course :D ). It transpires that last time she wore that dress and she had PE, the teacher had to help her, some of the kids teased her and she came home with it inside out  Anyway we got to school (late - and I have to rush to work) and we couldn't find her plimsolls  10 minutes later we're all sorted and I peddled like mad and got to work (just) in time!!!!!!

    Anyway onwards and upwards :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Yippeeeeee. Back from the hospital, nothing has changed and as it's 3 years since I had my op I have now dropped down to yearly visits.

Also the indicator decided to start working again of it's own accord, I felt so silly when I got to the garage and described an apparently non existant problem :( But at least that was money I didn't have to spend.

I spent £53 in Boots (treated myself to a glycolic peel kit) and paid for the lot with vouchers earned from Pigsback and got one of the free gifts when you spend over £15 on No 7 :D

    Hi everyone

Very late on today. Spent all day working on Henry Allingham's 110th birthday. Been out reporting on it this morning and spent the afternoon turning it around

Having a super depressed day. But to try and cheer myself up I'm going out for dinner with friend. Not very OS, but needs must!

Brought in lunch from home as usual and was so delighted yesterday to find a skirt I haven't seen in two years!!! And it still fits!:j

    Penny-pincher,
You might find this link useful :

I don't know how far afield you want to go but if you are a fan of the series Heartbeat, there is the village of Goathland where it is filmed that it not too far from Filey. You can reach it by going on the North Yorkshire moors railway that uses old steam trains. I am not sure how wheelchair friendly the trains are though.

    Evening all.

boy can i tell its term time again. I'm shattered. I managed to get a good 7 1/2 hours sleep, but still felt absolutely zapped when i woke up. The heat is not making things easier.

I had almost a full day today, which is always quite hard. I just need to get through tomorrow, and then i'm up at the hospital for speech therapy on Thursday, so i may get a bit of a lie in. I can see me struggling to get to the end of term at this rate.

My brother came to see me at school today to see if i would go and help him do some last minute revision tomorrow. I guess i can make a bit of time. Typical boy though, last minute. :rotfl: Thankfully year ten have work experience in just over a week.

I've got a bit of paperwork to do this evening, so i guess i will try and do that now before DH comes home, as he is off to switzerland for his cycling break tomorrow. I won't have him around then until next monday.

Please can someone add an extra hour to the day so i can sleep some more.

    Michelle, xx
