    Sixth Anniversary
    Morning everyone

Another beautiful day here in devon - all the children packed off to school - all the mums in the playground saying they are glad they have gone back to school - am I one of the few to be sad they have gone back??

Having a sort through of my kitchen cupboards today and then going to tidy up the garden.

Have booked a travel lodge for when i go up to see Ronan so hopefully everythings is sorted now as MIL is going to look after the children for 2 days (that will be a shock!!).

Hope everyone has a good day.

twink - she is having so much fun we no long use the express "pigins hit" but "chicken on woodchip" ;)

ageandjo - hope you feel better soon!! Ah, I love that time of morning too on a mild day. I have a pebble fountain which is lovely to sit by and with the sound of the morning chorus, the chook chooking and even the odd frog, it's like being in heaven with the gates shut.

catowen - good luck with your ironing. Hope your little 'uns ezcema is improving today.

moggins - yes, the expenses from now on will shoot up in many ways, and don't I know it!! On the trip front, I don't mind paying for the trips, it's the "voluntary" contribution part which always narks me. For the Primary School Trips, I would sometimes pay the equivalent extra for another child to go (lots of people on benefits) rather than the trips being cancelled; maybe I'm just at a point now where I feel saddened that I can't do that anymore because the costs now make it too difficult.
Good luck with your checkup and fingers X'd the pains are merely something age related. ((hugs))

brokenwings - fingers X'd for your Dad!
:T Well done on the Banoffee Pie! :T
Take care on your work trip - tell us all about it on Friday/Saturday :D

nicki - hey those trainers did you well! Hope you manage to find a snazzy new pair, we all need to treat ourselves from time to time.

Shez - Hoping you get all your organising, planning done before Monday :D

Well, between bobbing in and out here ( :o guilty as charge your honour!) I have managed to send the boys off with their packed lunches full of hm healthy good stuff :) plus make up a batch of Easi-O using the OS recipe. It does seem *very* quiet here without the pair of them :(:(

Wash load on - how do we manage to generate so much more washing in hot weather when we tend to wear fewer items? Answers on a postcard ...

Kept forgetting to pay Tesco Visa, despite all my reminders to myself, until yesterday, the day before it was due. Forgotten that I'd read on here that they no longer back date the payment to the time you phone in ( ) but asked the girl when and how we were notified - seriously, I had only read about it on MSE - she put me on hold, came back, mumbled something about 'since January' then said they would waive any potential interest as I was such a good customer (PHEW!) Rather pleased about that because it was quite a large bill with lots of major expenses on there. I always pay it in full each month so it's always within budget anyway, but interest extra's are *not* budgeted for. One happy Queenie :D:D Now, I've set up a calendar reminder on the computer plus my mobile so that I won't get so near the mark again. :o

I have a long email to write today, heard from an old friend of mine who emigrated some years ago now and we've lots to catch up on and I like to take my time over 'newsy' correspondence.

    Enjoy a thrift Tuesday :D:D:D

PS: Cat and Funky - yes, the GR bread was absolutely lovely!! If I see that on offer again, I will definately be grabbing some for a storecupboard standby.  would be smashing in a bacon butty

:hello: Liz - no, I don't think you are alone in being sad when the children go back. Yesterday I thought (rare though!) it would be lovely not to have them chipping in my ear every five mins, but, truthfully ... I'm missing them already :(:(

Hope you got a good deal on Travelodge, wonderful that your MIL is going to have the children so you can enjoy some time for yourself :T

    Morning,

Am hoping my paragraphs might be working this morning, as my formatting buttons are - so am writing it properly instead of with a "..." between each sentence - if this still comes out as one big jumble that's why!

Another lovely sunny day here, and of course I'm stuck in the office all day  Am off for a treat this evening, a theatre trip with some of my colleagues! (Normally my team never really go out, except to the pub :o) It was pricey, tickets £27 each plus £15 for the pre show dinner, but this is for the best seats in the house which normally cost £45 just for the ticket  - as you've probably guessed, it was me who found the deal :D:D

Made a delish asparagus risotto last night, doubling the quantity which said it served 2, and ended up with SIX portions and no freezer space, so I will be living on the stuff most of this week!

No PP this morning yet? Maybe she had to go up to the hospital early.

moggins - good luck at the hosp. and I hope your symptoms are nothing to worry about! How are all the other things that have been stressing you out lately?

Hope everybody else has a nice day - must dash, got a meeting at 9:30.

    Rzl xx

    Good Morning All

Sounds like you are all well and productive today - except Ageandjo - Get Well Soon!

Literally just popped on here for a mom. Already in office but need to break off in a minute to put washing out and another one in the machine. Wanted to concentrate on paperwork this morning but visions of my overflowing washing basket keep entering my head.

Weather looks wonderful outside but wont get to enjoy it today - never mind.
DS at home with terrible cold but he's happy watching telly at the mo - DD wasnt happy when she found out he wasnt going to school.

As soon as OH gets in (who knows when) have got to fly out and take Library DVD back then rush home so he can go to bed.

Anyway going to go as trying to be strict with myself.

    Have a good day all

Morning all.............. (((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))0 to those who want/need them....

GOOD NEWS - I feel a lot better this morning, still coughing but not so bad, head bunged up but not so bad....... BAD NEWS- OH said last night he had a stonking sore throat.... oh well guess man flu or some such is on its way..... mind you having had it myself I will try to be sympathetic!!!!!!

Lovely bright morning, the bedroom needs cleaning but it can wait unti later in the week, its sheet week, so will change the bed and maybe put the lighter duvet on, then clean the bedroom...........living room could do with a quick go as well.........

Need to have a trip to Tesco and the library today OH is out at the moment, but we should make it this afternoon...........then he has a bowls match so an evening on my own for a change.......

Hope the chicken pox is improving, my daughter had it when she was only 3 months old, caught it from her elder brother, he always was generous like that!!!!! She had to lay in the pram with no nappy on, mos interesting......good job it was summer. Mention of chicken pox parties brought back memories, we used to have measles parties too until we realised that german measles was not a good thing to get if you were pregnant, we did try to make sure that the girls were exposed to it though.

Off to make some coffee, see ya'll later...................

    Hiya everyone :D

A quick OS fix this morning. (she says)

Boys are at school, and I'm doing a few odds and ends before i go into town. Have a mystery shopping job to do and need to go to the bank. I'm sure there's something else I "need" but can't remember what ATM. Washinbg is on line and another load about to go on and the gerbils are currently playing in their "playhouse" aka large box with chewable stuff in to keep them amused :D I've just cleaned their cage out too.

I did lots of gardening last night. Dug out all the ground cover plants that had taken over the borders and this evening I'll finish off and plant the new stuff. Luckily my next door neighbours get their rubbish collected today so I can wheel my garden rubbish bin around to their side for it to be emptied again :D It's meant to be Mr TM's job to tend the gardens - but his version of anything other than mowing the grass and sweeping the drive is to get the chain saw out  I don't think he's ever heard of gentle pruning of delicate shrubs :rotfl:

Right, must decide what's for tea - may make the lasagne we didn't have yesterday - I made Mr TM make tea as I was in the garden so we ended up with burnt oven chips, fish and peas. Can't complain though (although I'm sure he'd tell you I could!! :D)

Hope you all have a good day and those sick ones are recovering. Enjoy the sunshine - it's here for a few days I believe.

    Morning all

Back from London, had a lovely time meeting up with my friends :) Saw a great, free exhibition which I must recommend: Press photographer of the year at the National Theatre (South Bank). V.v. good. Took megatrain, long journey but worth it as only £16.50 return Exeter to London.

I also spent the weekend recommending this message board to two soon to be mums, I thought they would find it helpful :)

Might be meeting up with ex-OH this week...scared

I was very good last night and did my washing when I got home and then ironed straight away, not like me normally!

Accounts to do, emails to catch up on...sunshine to look at!

Have a good day all and (((hugs))) to all who need them.

P.S. Shez - well done on doing DVD :)
