What a day yesterday turned out to be.

When supper was cooking I began to feel a bit chilly, so put on a fleece, by the time supper was over I was freezing!!!!!!!!! got OH to fill me a water bottle and lay on the settee under a fleece blanket, by 9pm I knew something was up so elected to go to bed.........took my temperture, it was 103!!!!!!!!!! paracetamol did not touch the sides going down, cool water washes all over, OH said my face looked like a boiler lobster (nice man) kept on with the cool water and cold drinks, by 11.30 it had gone down to 100, I have a sub normal temp usually so anything over 98.4 is raised for me......decided to try and sleep, on top of the quilt.........woke at around 2.30am needed a drink and a pee....... temp down to almost normal, so more paracetamols and back to sleep..... feel ok this morning although I have only just got up..... still got a blocked nose and lousy cough, which will go over the next few days I expect, will keep an eye on the temp over the next 24 hours, hope it does not happen again, pretty frightening when it suddenly shoots up like that!!!!!!!!!!!

No housework for the next couple of days, have a busy week next week, so need to get myself right.......will be getting as much rest as I can.

(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) to those who need them especially PP, I would hate those infusions too, I was very anaemic when I had my chidlren, I had to take iron pills which made me sick, was threatened with injections.......but managed to avoid them.

    Afternoon everyone

(((hugs))) to everyone who is either ill or looking atfer a scik person.

elona - special ((hugs)) to you. I remember my grandma used to give it the old "I haven't seen anyone for weeks" routine, when I used to see her weekly and my dad went in at least twice a day. In fact I told my mum off recently as she told my sister who had rung one Sunday afternoon that she hadn't seen/spoken to anyone all weekend!! She'd been out all day Friday with her SIL, I'd been there saturday, my other sister had rung either saturday afternoon or sunday morning!! When I said something she said "Oh, I didn't mean you!!" Parents!! Who'd have 'em!! LOL

Anyway, DS1 is back at school today and DS2 has been to pre-school. Yes, Shez, that pic was of my DS2 - and don't tell anyone but Nelski wanted to pinch him. How out of character is that? :rotfl:

I've spent the morning at mum's. I've finished planting most of her bedding plants now. However, it's got me in the mood to do more at my garden so after this I think I'll go to the garden centre and see what they have :D It's a lovely sunny day here so I may launder the boys' bedding, although got most of everything else done yesterday. I really need to sort outiles and drawers of "things" that accumulate over time. I haven't seen my mum's door keys for a couple of weeks now - and I need them next week as she's away with my aunt :D I looked where I thought they were this morning - but no. What's the betting I'll go and look in a sec and they will be staring at me....

    B: toast and tea
L: Beans and cheese on toast
D: Lasagne, salad, fresh fruit salad (with cream :D)

    Have a good day

    Hi everyone!
Had a good weekend although not much downtime. The BBq was a great success on Sat....we'd made HM rolls and burgers and salads and then a very straightforward lemon and ginger cheesecake for pud. Our friends came back for 2nds which I always reckon is the best compliment they can pay. OH threw some fresh rosemary on the bbq and it smelt gorgeous. Mind you the house didn't smell so good as he'd forgotten the oil he'd left in the frying pan and we now have the rather lovely smell of burnt non stick hanging about. Fortunately we caught it in time before it caught light but it does give you a bit of a shock when that sort of thing happens!
We spent yesterday doing all sorts of yuck jobs...I'm usually really grumpy on days like that but I wasn't too bad. Must have been the sunshine. Got all my washing dry, the patios. garden pots and furniture cleaned and we sorted it out a lot of the garage. OH made two trips to the dump [we recycled as much as possible] and he made a rack out of some oak we'd been given and old hooks to hang up the tools. I got all my mending jobs done as well so am feeling extra virtuous and my halo is shining ever so brightly!!
Today is odds and ends... lots of bitty jobs to get done in the town and then HM veggie spag bol for tea. I've got a friend dropping in to borrow some puzzles for her hol and I am planning to do diddly squat this evening other than watch Spring Watch and sew my dollshouse carpet.
We're off to Dorset at the end of the week for a couple of days because the small person has an inset day [or insect days as he used to call them]. We're staying at a B&B which we found via a site that VickyA recommended so many thanks there!:j

Had a lovely weekend in Whitby, OH came home on Friday night & said "let's go away", so we did. Spent most of Saturday sat on the beach with our HM picnic, receiving jealous glances from all around us!
Today I have loads of washing to do; OH managed to bleed/snot all over his pillow in the night, so bed has been stripped & washed along with towels & there's still 2 more loads to do. At least it's sunny enough to dry them on the line. Realised that I really am not organised in the slightest for our holiday (we go on Sunday), so dragged a few summery garmets from the wardrobe & dumped them on the spare bed.
My lovely local greengrocer had sold up, so I'm now having to resort to supermarket fruit/veg til I can find another one :( It was really convenient as I had an account & stopped me nipping to the supermarket for some mushrooms & then spending a tenner unnecessarily.
Chicken & Feta salad for tea; all that Whitby fish n chip stodge has left me in need of fresh vegetables!
Hugs to all of you who are ill or have poorly children. :T to all of you enjoying the peace now the kids are back at school!
Aril: your burnt non-stick story reminds me of the time when I left a huge pan of HM bombay potato on the hob to -ahem- "warm up" & went outside to BBQ; besides the smell it took me about 6 weeks & an awful lot of scrubbing to get the pan back to normal! Even funnier was my sister, who was so desperate to try it, she carefully picked out the less burned bits with a teaspoon & ate it anyway!

    Afternoon Guys

Had a boring morning really. SIL is here tomorrow not today and had other BIL round for a cuppa this morning and OH is just about to go and help him with putting a kitchen in for a customer. Can only spend an hour and half as he has to pick DD from school:rolleyes:

In abit of shock. Literally just listed DD's DS game and did a buy it now also and it sold within 5 minutes. DD will be very happy as its going into her bank account:D She has also asked me to sell her Bratz dolls but dont know whether to list seperate or as a job lot...want her to make as much profit as possible;) Managed yesterday to list about 20 items on Ebay, so was pleased with that, but last week I sold 1 item.....which was gutting-but the way it goes sometimes.

OH has finished painting the decking but needs another coat which he said will do over the next couple of days. Weather keeps coming over cloudy and humid so am expecting it to rain very soon.

Had the dreaded call from Kings and have to go in tomorrow and Thursday for Iron infusions:eek:...have to be up there for 9am, so DD's grandad will have to take her to school both days as she cant have any time off. They cant do them locally as my other 2 consultants have to be on hand incase I have any reactions to the iron:confused: Also have another 2 appointments locally at the hospital this week, so a very busy week.

OH's friend has asked to pop over tonight and me to help him with his finances. Our other friends last night are doing the same and I was so shocked by how much debt they were in and basically his wages only cover the morgage and 2 loans and he's on pretty good money. I felt quite relieved that we have quite minimal debts in comparison, but its all on one card...no loans etc and nothing to anyone else! They had bailiffs round last week...it was really scary talking with them-but wont go into it too much. Anyway his mate is stopping for dinner as well, cant remember what I put down this morning but we are now having a HM Large Pie with mash, fresh french beans and carrots, as I can stretch that a bit:D

Washing was dried on the line and have changed a couple of ornaments around as they were driving me mad. Trying to cut back on the little knick knacks to simplify stuff:p

Anyway, Im going to attempt a little on my essay later and try and catch up with some of the reading as my next essay after this is due in 3 weeks:eek:

    Hugs to everyone.

Well DD is currently upstairs getting ready for school singing "Build me up Buttercup" by the Foundations at the top of her voice :rotfl:

Why does that not surprise me? :rotfl:

    Well afternoon everyone!

Bit of a better sleep last night.. although i fell asleepy on the sofa again till 3:30am... then climbed upstairs to bed! Got up at about 8:45am! Good job im not working at the moment!

Have done loads of little odd jobs this morning... trying to get the house ship-shape and all done by wednesday when my OH is back from Holiday so we can spend some quality time together over the weekend which is my usual "cleaning" time. He wont even recognise the place when he comes in! :rotfl:

Going to crack on with a few more things after some lunch. Having a BIG sort out to get rid of all my rubbish thats been just cluttering the place! Have found a few items belonging to my horrible horrible ex-OH so they are all going in a bin bag and will be dumped on his parents door step with a note reminding him he owes me over £100 and im sick of "tomorrows" so he better look out for the solicitors letter  :D

Kinda gutted today ... Was meant to be taking our scout group canoeing and raft building tonight BUT only 2 kids (out of 14) could be bothered to turn up at the designated time and place last week to hand over their permission slips and £5. So weve had to cancel :( Instead were stuck in the horrible school hall again doing some kind of improvised activity. Would have been such a great activity and really good on a night like tonight cos its good weather. Im personally a bit gutted cos i was petrified at the thought (having drowned nearly 3 times in my short little life..) BUT had built up the confidence to give it a go anyway - now its been cancelled

*hugs to everyone who needs them*

Afternoon all ... TM, I know I haven't met your DS2 yet, but I think EVERYBODY wants to pinch him :D I know Moggins mentioned it once! ... PP, sorry you've got to have the nasty iron infusions :( ... tootles, sorry you're ill ... and I've just blown £80   on tickets for shows in the autumn season at Sadler's Wells   though it's not a bad price for 6 different shows, and I did already have it in the budget.

I've been to the garden centre and will be getting changed shortly and beginning digging. Don't have to do the school run today as DS1 is at cricket club and mate's dad is bringing him home. It's great cos I'd be getting on my way about now :D

I'm also now venturing into the OS "home grown food" stakes. Ok - I bought some strawberry plants - it's a start. :rotfl: Need to check how much potting compost I have left - I can always get some more tomorrow because there's another garden centre nearby that I've never been to yet.

Right, off to fill the WM again and find my old jeans - although not necessarily in that order :D

Afternoon all I have battled the M25 and been to sunny Kent today some parts are so pretty over there.
I am coughing like a train and it's really annoying, my back and sides hurt through it now.
OH got on ok at the hospital he has got to go back in for another op to try and mend his knee, as his gait is different to others its quite tricky but he struggles on, I admire him really being born with a disability and managing to work even when you have severe ulcars on the soles of your feet!!

Must dash I need another drink of water:rolleyes:
