Morning all!!
I was expecting someone to have started the new thread but in it's absence I'll quickly say g'night on here. W/m is on with tablecloths for tomorrows stall and finally I've packed all the stock that I need to take. Clothes are still on the line so I pray that it'll stay dry tonight (no, not going out there - terriefied incase of rats!!!) Had meant to make a sarnie to take, but hopefully will get up early enough to make in the morning. Wishing that I hadn't agreed to do it now as I'm so tired and there's so much housework needing doing (post school hols). Sat down at the pc to switch off and of course just had to have that 'one last peak' at the forum and have now been here 40+ minutes. LOL, and I wonder where all the time goes.... rofl:
Ah well, best climb the wooden hill,
Night night all

PS Elona, if you happen to read this tomorrow, I hope a good nights rest has helped you feel better about the situation. Don't give yourself a hard time, you care and you do as much as you can. I have a few friends who care for elderly parents and while they all (my nan included) seem to forget all visits, telephone calls etc they all seem to be able to remember the 'important' things. In fact, I'd go so far as to say most are safer and wiser than your average stressed out mum!!! (((HUGS)))January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Hope you feel better soon ageandjo, take care on the M25 and fingers X'd for your OH and his knee.
elona - hope you managed a good nights sleep
One son back at school today, other son to follow tomorrow. It'll be nice to relax tomorrow without any D-mands on my time. Don't get me wrong, I love my family dearly, but it doesn't feel like I've had a moment to myself for ages without someone in my ear every 5 mins: "Where's my? Please may I have? What time is? How long til" etc., etc.
But tomorrow is still a while away, so for today, it's going to be general tidy round day!! Despite last nights rain, the sun is smiling outside so I can get the beds changed, laundered and air dried.
Need to put the BM on overtime because the freezer supplies have run right down.
Need to reckon up my pin money and see how that stands.
Wishing you all a good Monday ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's another glorious morning todaySomething about the summer that gives you more get up and go I think. I've been a busy bee this morning, WM is on it's second load, first one is drying on the line. Chicken is in the slow cooker for tonights tea and all the veggies have been peeled and chopped. Last nights washing up is done, all the packed lunches have been made. Everyone's clothes have been ironed for today, and I've emptied the bin :A Am about to jump in the bath - and I'm really looking forward to wearing my new outfit to w**k today
Well better dash, as I want to hoover downstairs before I leave (isn't it annoying when you cut the grass that half of it ends up inside  )
Have a great day everyone - byeeSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

WM is on, DW needs emptying and toilet has been cleaned. House is generally clean and tidy from last week:D Think SIL is here today to do a few jobs and me ironing.
Friends ended up staying late last night and we had a take-away together and there is tons left, so OH will eat that for lunch:rolleyes: It was a nice afternoon and evening and the lads went to play golf, whilst me and friend had a good natter. DD must have watched Sleeping Beauty about 3 times with their young DD:eek:
DD is back to school today and her lunchbox is all done. HW has been completed. She was asked to read a book of choice and write her comments on it-so she decided to read The Da Vinci Code....shes done well actually and think her teacher will be impressed.
Think Im up Kings 4 times this week, but will call and check this morning. My infusions are starting this week and they will wipe me out.
Anyway, Id best go and make sure DD is dressed, fed, washed etc etc.

Good morning everyone,
Had another bad night last night, think im starting to worry about our holiday and what has already/could go wrong!!! Must speak to the travel agents today, to find out what they are arranging, to get us upto Gatwick on Friday, as they have double booked us with the firm who are meant to be taking us!!!!! I booked it back in January, so i am not impressed!!!
DD has come down with a rash on the back of her legs, so i also need to take her to the doctors, cant ring until 8.30, and will prob have to sit in the emergency clinic for ages, but need to get it sorted.
Have lots of cleaning to do later, and ive almost completed our packing, i just want to iron a lot of the clothes before putting it in the suitcases, i know it will get re creased, but it will make me feel better knowing i have done it. I hate leaving things til the last minute, so will get cracking on the ironing today.
Have a friend and her son coming for dinner tonight, im doing a roast (want my 2 to have some good home cooked food this week, as they will be eating junk whilst we are away!!!) followed by white chocolate, chocolate pots!!! Never tried them with white chocolate before, so hope they work!!!
Right, first little one is here, so off to play with the rocking cow!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all
It's nice to be able to finally get access to the computer. I've got a busy day ahead, putting the house to rights after the half term and then I've got to pop into town to pick up a computer monitor from Cash Converters that I paid for on Saturday. I'm hoping to be able to park right outside without a traffic warden getting their mitts on me.
It's a beautiful day here too, I wish I had time to sit outside in the sunshine.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all
busy day ahead for me too and I really am not feeling energetic enough to do it.
Need to go into town to get birthday presents for my sister, get petrol - just trying to find a site that someone recommended where it lists cheapest petrol in your area - then go to the garden center for bird seed. When i get back theres a huge pile of ironing waiting for me. ( im a saddo who irons everything including knickers lol )
Then I am making scotch eggs for dinner ( first attempt - ooh err ).
Garden is full of bird families these last few days - all the babies doing that funny shakey thing with their wings waiting for food from the parents . Bless. We have baby blue tits, grey tits, gold finches, green finches, chaffinches and sparrows. Bless my old dad - he is almost 80 with two crumbling hips but he is out there almost all day every day trying to keep some nasty magpies away who appear to be cannibalistic and enjoy a fledgling for lunch.
So - must get a move on.
Catch up later

Morning all,
Another day, another dollar.
Still a bit overcast outside hope the sun comes out soon. Kids back to school today:j like queenie I may get a bit of me time which has been seriously lacking in the past couple of weeks.
A couple of friend of ours are adopting a child and we have had loads of visits from the social services as our friends asked us to be character referees for them, just one more visit to go this thursday so keeping our fingers crossed, they will make fab parents, they don't live the high life but have loads of love to give, I'm really excited for them.
O/H came home with a really really old car, infact a classic, over the weekend, yes its very nice and in mint condition but... £700:eek: I'm sure men are on a different planet sometimes.
Will need to pull the purse strings in the rest of the month. Hey Ho...
PP- I also have iron infusion and have had them for two years now (also unexplained iron loss) but managed to only have three last year and only one long stay in hospital:j so I feel for you hun, hope it goes okay...This is in no way medical advice just my own findings but since we started to eat meat/ofal from a good quality butcher (I was put on a high red meat diet) and stopped buying meat & veg from the supermarket my health has come on in leaps and I now don't take as many tablets and can actually get up in the mornings and not fall asleep by lunch time... Something to think about!!!
Anyway have a great day all, Take care
