    Morning all:j

Just got back from the BBQ of the year at the lovely TMs - Thanks for a great night hun (though I did think it was odd that every bottle of wine had a glass taken out though apparently it was for my own safety so thats ok:D )
The food was fab and we were in the garden (abeit the summer house) till really late so it felt like summer proper. If your ears were burning last night then you now know why;)

Today will be a bit mad as I have just realised Im going on holiday on Thursday and am away in Jersey for w**k tomorrow and tuesday so that basically leaves me 1 day to :

clean the house (my mums coming round to water the plants so it needs to be "parent clean")
    pick my tickets up
shop for a few last minute bits
    get my hair cut
    do some last minute washing
    pack, mow the lawns
oh and write a report from my Jersey visit

and thats just what i can remember:eek:

So i guess sitting here reading MSE aint getting any of that done:o and to top it all the suns coming out now (was a bit cloudy this morning) so i will feel the need to work on my tan ready for the hols:cool:
Ah well - hope you all have a great day
    xx

I love Costco but as TM says you need to be careful you are getting a real bargain. A couple of times a year you will be sent a book of offers and they are really worth while if they are things you use a lot - I have stocks of loo roll and kitchen towels, Pepsi, lots of meat for the freezer (I agree the meat is gorgeous), birthday cards (they do lovely boxes of hand made cards that work out about 20p each). Its also good for electical stuff (3 year warranty) and even clothes. So yes its well worth while I find but you do need to be careful and compare.

    Hello everybody.

I've had a really productive old stylee weekend so I'm feeling proud of myself.

Yesterday, we hired some bikes out including a child seat for my little one and went cycling round our local reservoir. It was great fun! I haven't cycled for over 15 years so I was a bit wobbly to start with but we all really enjoyed it.

Today, I've been on a cleaning binge. I've put the pillows out on the line to air. (It was a tip that I picked up on here from Queenie last year.) I'm hoping they will be all fresh-smelling when I bring them in later.

I've also set to in the bathroom. My bathroom sink is sparkling thanks to biological washing powder and a nasty mildewy stain on the bathroom carpet has come up - thanks to Stardrops. Both tips from OS board.

Thanks to everybody on here that inspires me to clean my home the natural way! :T

Hope everybody else has a lovely weekend, too. :)

Costco is fab - popped in yesterday for some meat for BBQ - ended up with a trolley full! I am never able to just pop in for one thing, I always end up buying shedloads. :o

I always find their fruit reasonably priced - the bananas are only a £1 and the bunch I picked up yesterday had 10 huge bananas on it.

Queenie, when you said you had a smoking evening last night, I had visions of you sat round a blow-pipe!! :rotfl:

P.S. I need advice. Mr Frizz spilt a whole carton of double cream last night and despite numerous floor cleans - the kitchen still smells like rank milk! :( What can I do to get rid of the smell?

I've got the cards too Nels, they are great value and really lovely quality. Their wrapping paper packs are very good too - although they have not had them in for a while.

Ok, ok, so you know who came to my BBQ last night :D However,it wasn't the drunken, debauched evening Nels might like you to think it was....

HERE is what Nels got up to last night. Do you think it will ruin her street cred as a hard partying, single girl about town? :rotfl:

    afternoon!

Not much today.... got up about 9am after a terrible night, had a panic attack then spent the night tossing and turning (which isnt good as my bed is faulty at the moment - both side supports have snapped where they attach to the footboard!! so the littlest move and it creaks and squeaks like a mouse in pain!!! ) Also had horrible nightmares.. which felt soooo real i woke up shaking! :( So got up feeling sorry for myself so just pottered and got on with job applications while eating my brekky.

Then spent AN HOUR on the phone to OH in cyprus!!!   Just didnt realise the time... as it was just so nice to hear his voice as im missing him terribly and as we spend 99.9% of nights with each other waking up alone is horrible. :o:o Unfortunetly i commited a cardinal sin and DIDNT check this site before ringing him   i automatically have just been using 1899.com to ring him.... at 15p a minute... so i have a phone bill at the moment with £21 of calls to him from the last 4 days!!! Just checked the callchecker when i finally remembered there was one on here and realised i could have been calling him for 2p a minute!!!!!!!!!!! :o:o:o:o So i rang him back to tell him his girlfriend was a stupid woof woof for 2p a minute of course ! :p :rotfl: Good job he's worth every penny/pound though isnt it? :D

Rest of the day will be just pottering about i think... not feelin very energetic.

*hugs to everyone who needs one*

Well I went back to bed but did not get any sleep the world and his wife started cutting their lawns!!!!!!!!! How dare they!!!!!

Got up and dressed then discovered that my password manager had done a wobbly and I could not get into my banking site which has now locked me out ....GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, have to wait now for a new pass number to come through the post, I soemtimes wonder of its worth it, but I do like to keep tabs on the account, its so easy to lose hold and when you are on our budget thats FATAL.

OH back for the allotment, tuna mayo and cucumber sarnies for lunch followed by yogurt...... veg prepped for supper, its pork chops done in the oven with roasties so should not tax him too much.

Glad there is no one round with a camera, have resorted to sticking the twirled up ends of a tissue one up each nostril to stop my nose dripping on everything......it works, but not the best of sights on a sunny Sunday afternoon, which is why I am sitting inside and not in the garden!!!!! Sneezed 4 times on the trot........could have done with a nappy at that point!!!!!

OH has just sold our old mower to the chap next door, he has reseeded the garden and the grass was in dire need of cutting, OH mentioned to him the other day that we had an old mower that he could have, so a tenner has just changed hands, into the holiday fund.

Have just had another dose of medication so should last out now until bedtime........ hopefully...... and perhaps a better night sleep.........I jolly well hope so, have not coughed as much, good job too my ribs are so sore from the last few days I have to hold them when I cough............Oh dear if I was a horse I think they'd shoot me!!!!!

    .

Living in the sunny? Midlands, where the pork pies come from:

saving for a trip to Florida and NYC Spring 2008

    Total so far £14.00!!

Afternoon all. :grouphug: to everyone :D

Busy day for me so far and I only got up at 10am! Both beds are stripped, masterbedding is washed and dried  :T , DD's bedding is on the line ATM with the jeans drying. Another load of washing in the machine (3 more to do including a cleaning cloths), bathroom is clean (with clean towels, hence the amount of washing), breakfast done and OH did a batch of dishes so there is hardly any washing up :j I've been to the Co-op for milk (we actually ran out for the first time in months, excluding when it's gone off :p ) and a paper. Also took pictures of our garden and made a simple website ( here ) now I can send the link to Grandad-in-law so he can see how we're doing.

Next I'm going to set to with another box of ebay stuff, once I've had lunch, and later I'll be making dinner, packed lunches for tomorrow, and I might bake, just depends on how I feel after doing ebay stuff and all the other "Sunday jobs". OH will be bathing DD after tea while I make the beds up and I might do the ironing since there will be so little ;)
