Morning all................((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))) to those who need them.
Well my cough has transmuted into a humdinger of a cold......... yesterday afternoon the old hooter started running by last night it was in full flow and has hardly stopped since..... went to bed last night determined to get a decent nights sleep dosed up with a hot toddy, paracetamol, stuff up the hooter to clear the stuffyness, vick on the chest, vasline round the nose and Olbas oil on my handkerchief............. snoozing nicely when I became aware of voices on our front..... got up and a group of youngsters, I swear all under 15 were gathered round what appeared to be an Ipod or some such under the lamp on the pavement,, they were not actually doing anything but the noise was incredible and it was 2.30am!!!!!! No way was I going to go out to them, so watched for a while, was just about to get the phone and call the local nick when they started to move away. The security lights on our neighbours house came on, so I dont know if he had got up to them or not...... needless to say I could not get back to sleep for quite a while.... woke up this morning with bread between the ears, nose running and a cough that would do a 30 a day smoker proud..........
OH brought me breakfast and has gone to the allotment to do an hour up there, has stuff he needs to get in...... so as it is peaceful here just now I have dosed myself up again and intend to try and get some more sleep..... think OH will be having a cookery lesson today...... supper will be cooked by himself for once.......
To all those of you who have plans to go out enjoy yourselves..........I'm off back to bed............................

Goooooood morning OSers :T :T
I had a lovely evening last night - had a scrummy BBQ - which included fillet steak provided by my friend  Then we sat in the summerhouse until the early hours, drinking an assortment of fine winesUnfortunately, the wine insomnia kicked in at 3.55am - and I hadn't really had THAT much. However, I wasn't getting up to start the daily at that time :rotfl:
Today will be a clear up and get ready for going back to school day. I will have to do the mountains of ironing tonight - will find a good film to watch. Other than that, not much else planned. Tea will be the rest of the meat that was BBQ'd and not eaten with salad and potatoes and I have some mince that I took out of the freezer a couple of days ago and which needs cooking.
Ok - boys are off to church so I will have peace and quiet for an hour. Have a good day.

I've not much planned for today. OH is doing t'ai chi in the living room, furry one is already running about the garden and i'm about to have nice coffee in the garden as well. Haven't really planned the meals here today, but i do have some nice chicken out of the freezer (should have taken it out last night), so we should be looking at a late dinner.
Maybe I can get OH and furry creature up for walking to a lovely big park somewhere far away...that would be nice. Got some ebay stuff to list, so will be getting on with that as well. (good tip, make sure your auctions end on a sunday, more people are at home to bid for things at the last minute!:D)

Sorry to hear about your little one.
When my kids had the same trouble as nippers I gave them lots of cold ice pops or iced lollies to suck on, it numbs the sore throat and takes their mind off it as well as cooling them down. Hope she feels better soon.

Morning everyone.
I'm suffering from back to school blues today. I woke up dreaming i was in charge of a class who wouldn't do as they were told again. I get that after every break, and no clue why. WM is just completing its 2nd load. I did 2 yestersay and 3 on Friday, so i should be just about back up to date, just the ironing then to tackle, which i might do this evening.
After marking nearly 80 papers on Friday, my plan had been to do the same yesterday. Instead, i did a few while DH spent a couple of hours taming the jungle. Then we went to Meadowhall so DH could get some cheap shorts for his cycling break next week. We ended up not getting them from there, but decathalon, as they had some special cycling shorts with padded bottom area for maximum comfort. Rather DH than me cycling down the Swiss alps. :rotfl: We also had to get him some currency.
We also did a few hours at my mums so DH could do some DIY for them. (i spent the time entertaining my 6yo nephew by helping him stick in football stickers.) Mum has just joined costco which is opening in Sheffield, so i'm looking forward to having a nosy round there when she goes. Is it really a cheap place to shopor is it like makros where it isn't really.
I ended up being a bit heat exhausted. I was off my food, and felt really shattered. I also hurt my back from sitting funny. So i didn't get much of my stuff done.
Today - must plan some school work, and mark some more papers. DH is out for a bike ride in the peaks as he hasn't been all month and he doesn't want to end up looking daft next week.My plan is sausage, mash and green beans for tea. And hopefully a bit of time to chill out so i'm not too exhausted tomorrow. Roll on 7 weeks for the summer holidays.
Love and hugs to everyone. Hope you all have a much more exciting time than me.

michelle - I much prefer Costco for a lot of things. I've never really found any great bargains in Makro - either I don't use what's on offer or I don't go at the right time. However, a few choice products at Costco can recoup your membership. For me it is the tyres, although they have some fab bits and pieces throughout the year. Their meat is good quality but I find their fresh fruit and veg very expensive. Some of their foodstuffs aren't as cheap but washing powder etc is generally good value. Take a good look round - I'm sure there will be something you want0

DD is now NOT going to friends house because she has been SO rude this morning to her dad & I:eek: Its a shame, but she has to learn. She is currently painting the decking and not a happy bunny:D
....oh well...she will learn!!
Washing is drying on the line and another is nearly finished in the WM, so that will be put out too. DW has been emptied and the gerbils cleaned out.
Anyway, will look back in later. Weather is lovely here.

Michelle-Only use Makros so not sure what Costco is like
I buy all my washing powder, fabric conditioner, tetley, loo rolls and kitchen rolls from Makros, but only when on special and they have a few items i need. Fruit and veg is very expensive as TM said, but you can get some good reductions on their foods when they have been stickered:D
