Just wanted to thank everyone for the support and advice.
After a good cry last night and wailing how useless I felt - I had a good nights sleep and feel human again.
Decided that "The best that I could do, was the best that I could do" will keep on just plodding and panicking.
Washing machine is on and need to go buy waterproof for DDs school trip tomorrow.
May make sweet potato cakes for tea but doubt if I will have time to make quiche or rhubarb open topped pie.
Hugs to all and thanks :A"This site is addictive!"

WB, Aussielass! :j Well done on your bargains :T :T :T (I missed your posts)
jockettuk - years ago, when children got chickenpox, women would invite the children's friends round for a chickenpox party (yes, I know, sounds bizarre) with the attitude of let them get it at the same time and over and done with. It was also a good way of sharing the caring and any left over calamine and calpol (well, equivalent of calpol).

Morning all,
It looks like it will be another lovely day here. I washed my bedding before leaving for w**k this morning so it is now hanging in the sunshine on the line in my garden. OH has gone to his job so I won't see him until Friday and DS has gone to Pontins with his Dad for a week so from now until Friday evening I will be on my own. I can't remember the last time this happened. I will be working all week and I have made some plans. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for tea to catch up on the gossip, I am probably going to the cinema on Wednesday to watch the Da Vinci Code (Orange Wednesdays) and I have my Karate lesson on Thursday so I am keeping busy.
OH finished off the tiling in the utility room yesterday. We had our kitchen done last Easter (2005) and he had tiled the floor but never carried it through to the utility room. It still needs grouting but it is going to look great and it makes the two rooms join up. He also took me out for tea last night (not very OS) which was very enjoyable.
I'm trying not to but any food this week but may have to buy salad items and fruit/vegetables. Having said that, I haven't got any lunch today so I need to buy a sandwich at lunchtime. Not a very good start!
Oh well, must go and do a bit of w**k!

Morning all
... back at w**k so back with MSE technical problems  ... Went out last night and had a lovely time though I absolutely wrecked my budget plans in the process ... got another "tentative" night out pencilled in for this evening but am going to scrap it as I need a night in, it was a free event anyway ... think I'll be going for a v. quick drink with boss's boss then off home to cook my asparagus risotto  ... need to watch the pennies these next two weeks as am soooo busy in the evenings that I need to keep a tight rein on my spending to fit it all in ... hence am hoping to be able to survive on a storecupboard challenge type plan with my only food purchases being fresh fruit and veg ... also will be attempting to preserve my bank balance and my liver by drinking lime soda some of the time instead of beer
... anyway, hugs to all with sick kiddies, and to elona
... catch you later ... Rzl xx

So much for getting on with the school website
Instead I've done a batch of dishes (and put otherstuff into soak as I forgot last night  ) and sorted out my emails (I was looking for one particular one, honest!). I've just managed to clear out 132 emails
:T OH is going to love me as he only did a backup yesterday :rotfl: Mind you, I need to have a sort out of the photos as well as I have loads of ebay ones that need to go (current ones are in a folder on my desktop so I don't accidentally delete them...like last time
) BUT now I'm needing food so the website will have to wait a while longer
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hello again,
Just back from the doctors, and DD has eczma (sp) so now has hydro cortisone cream, aqueous cream and special bath oil. It looks like she has had it for a long time, but hasnt been showing as the red, scaley rash that you normally associate with eczma, but for some reason it has now gotton worse, but at least we have something now for it, will only use the cortisone for a day or two, and i will then try to stick with the aqueous cream, i dont like the steroids much so will keep that for emergencies only.
Its a lovely day here today, the little ones are loving playing in the garden, which makes it an easier day for me, which i love!!!!
Queenie - ive made that Gary Rhodes bread mix before, and it is lovely!!!!
Elona ((((HUGS)))) people often forget the relatives of those who are ill, so dont feel down about everything, you have been doing a marvelous job and i know all your family will be appreciating what you are doing, even if they havnt been showing it!!! and good news re the pack a mac!!!!!
Well, better go and see what the little ones are doing, hugs to all who need one,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
