Ageandjo - Your OH's grandad sounds amazing and I hope I can be like that when I'm older as well!

Queenie - You sound like me ATM, I can't wait for 9.05am when I can come home to a quiet house. Its not the pestering for me, as I only have one DD although OH can sometimes give her a run for her money, but its more the fact I can't get anything done with her around..or at least thats my excuse for not doing stuff and I'm sticking to it

Stressed - where do you get the energy from? :eek: I can barely get myself out of bed by 7.15 on a Monday nevermind what you've achieved!!! :T

PP - Wow at your DD reading The Da Vinci Code, I found it challenging and had to ask OH what some words mean and I'm 27!! :rotfl:

Catowen - Try and enjoy your holiday. Don't get too stressed/worried...whatever happens happens and you'll deal with it as it happens. No need to worry yourself stupid - this is coming from someone who gets her OH to txt her when he gets to work if it's raining :rotfl:

Well DD is currently upstairs getting ready for school singing "Build me up Buttercup" by the Foundations at the top of her voice :rotfl: Can some find some way to check that this child of mine is 5 years old ?:rotfl:

Big list of things for me to get done this week, let alone today but first I'd better get DD's face washed ..... back later :wave:

Morning all

Been up since 2am with DD2 who needed cuddles and the sick bucket - the joys of parenting eh! She's feeling much better this morning and is currently tucking into some toast.

We're off on our holiday today - just a holiday park in Sussex but it will be nice to be away from home, the packing's done and it's just a case of getting the cold food bag filled and we're away. Well....that's once DH has woken up and DD's have had a shower etc etc.

hi all.. ive just phoned my dd's school saying she will be off all week with the chicken pox and it seems half the school gone down with it.. she in a lot of discomfort at she got them in her mouth which is giving her a sore throat and also in her private parts or as she calls it her front bum lol. she glad to be off school but its not the same when your ill hee hee bless her .. going to nip up to the chemist and see if theres anything i can get for her sore throat as i cant put cream etc there..

hope to get some more housework done today and clear out more junk in preparation for the move in 7 weeks time..

looks like it might chuck it down here today but put machine on anyhow and will keep fingers x

Hiya

I cant really have a high red meat diet as I cant have beef as it plays havoc with my tummy. The veg with high iron in I cant have as Im also on Warfarin as I have a couple of blood clots and they are anti-coagulants (sp)....right pain in the bum! Having loads of iron tablets with OJ so they absorb faster but not really helping......typical!!

DS1 just left to do his GCSE's:eek: DS2 ill in bed, been sick quite a bit and got the trots too!

Am off to work in a bit so Mum will be checking on DS2 regularly(he's nearly 14 so quite able to be left thank goodness)

Shez yes I am a tap dancer, its great fun:D I would recommend it to anyone as a hobby and way of keeping fit;) plus you get to wear fishnets and sparkly dresses:o


Our Jack Russell is in the "dog house!" this week as he's killed two birds in the garden:mad: I've put him a collar on with a bell now so they can hear him coming! hopefully this will do the trick!

better get off now as DS2's been sick again.Wont be home till 10.30 tonight so will catch up then

Good morning everyone

Well its just me and DD2 up so far - the other 2 are still fast asleep :eek: Good job they dont go back til tomorrow!!!!! lol Got my first load of washing in the machine and another one to go on after that then i am all caught up again - thank goodness - i will try and get it all ironed today as well. must go through my cupboards today and see if anything needs using up. BM to go on later.

Seeing as its such a lovely day will be doing a bit of gardening and giving all the garden furniture a clean up.

Hope you all well not had a chance to catch up with weekend threads yet.Nickikeep having to check my DS age, as he's big Johnny Cash and Nina Simone fan and at time its Walt Witman, Which is sort of spooky, I could swear he must havew been here before.

Not much OS here today as work change my hours to to a nightshift so got all cleaning and ironing out the way yesterday. The council havre been this morning and taken my old TD and WM. They have a scheme which repairs them and then sells them.

DD and Ds are off seem to have this 24hr bug which is going around both ahve headaches and have been vomitting. I had it on friday so know how miserable they must be feeling.

I really need to set to today on the school website. I said I'd have it up and running by the summer holidays, which I only realised today is 6 weeks away :eek: I've got photos to scan, text still to type up, staff lists to update :doh: why did I say by the end of term? :wall:

One load of washing is out on the line (towels that were washed yesterday but didn't dry off completely) and I have one mixed load to do, dishes from last night and 4 boxes of ebay stuff to either type up/photograph or put in the "not worth it, give it to the school" pile

DD has just been invited to a friends birthday party on Wednesday after school! He only lives down the road (10 doors away) so getting there won't be a problem but trying to think of what to give him is another matter. I might just put £5 in his card as I hardly know the kid! :rolleyes:

Right, time for a coffee and I'll get on with the school website since I need to get more images and need to know what images I want so I can ask for them :rotfl::rotfl:

Hello everybody,

I've been away for the last few days, in case anybody has been missing me terribly. We left Friday morning and took the truck back to our old town to pick up DH ute that was stored at a friends. Caught up with DGS on Friday night. When I got out the truck he raced into my arms for cuddles & kisses. We left Saturday morning.

On the way home we went to a huge applicance place that was having a good sale. I bought my oven, cooktop, microwave, small chest freezer & sink with tap. I got him down to $1700 which was A bargain. :T In uk pound's this would be about 750. I can now get my kitchen organised as I have all the applicances to fit. Just got word from the council today and we can't start the footings for another 4 weeks. They are so slow. :mad: So I will get the kitchen/bathroom sorted.

Did the mowing today and caught up with the laundry etc. It's warmed up a bit lately and the days are gorgeous.

It's still overcast here this morning, but warm. d/w is emptied, washing no. 1 out on line, load no. 2 still in wm.

Got some lovely work for DS to do today, English grammar to begin with... that should please him....not
never mind, there's always maths to follow......
