    Afternoon all,
I managed to harvest enough rhubarb so that we can have a crumble tonight(YAY!) Its the 3rd picking from some plants my neighbour gave me so as they are new to me,I cant pick loads all in one go.There are now 3 whole strawberries in the freezer;) Only one plant is fruiting so im saving up the berries until everyone can have strawberry yoghurt.
DS is home from college for another 3 weeks as he has done his AS exams,he has to go back for the 4 last weeks of term then its summer hols.DD (homeschooled) will be going for 4 days in July and then starting there next September.Ive loved having them both home and it will be so strange when they are both at college.
I cleaned out the cupboard that I use for herbs, spices etc this morning. It had got quite bad as some food colouring from sweet making had spilled( why do those bottles always leak?) and there was something sticky all mixed in with it.
I'll be making another bread pud later as todays Bread came out very lopsided and odd (I forgot to get yeast from the freezer last night so it was very hurriedly defrosted this morning).
Im having one of those wizdom tooth days today :(
One of the lower wizdom teeth has never come through properly and I sometimes accidentally hit it with my toothbrush which usually means a few days of it being really sore all around that 'hinge' area. I really must try an electric toothbrush again.
    all the best

I've been to town - done my mystery shopping job and deposited some cheques in the bank......

then I went into the Panasonic shop..........

you don't want to know how much I have spent!!

(Having previously checked out they are not far from being the cheapest, but you get a 3 year guarantee and I managed to get them to throw in the stand, the cables and some dvd/r's for "free")

However, England better win the blasted world cup - cos if they do, I get half the money back again :j :j (I'm not holding my breath though :rotfl:)

    hello all!

DS2 a little better this morning, was still being sick into the nightthough!

DS1 has done his English GCSE and is now having a break before I get him in so he can brush up on his Biology for tomorrow!

Lovely day here, housework done just the ironing waiting and the lawns need mowing again.BM on.Am taking my old gent shopping to Morrisons in a bit so wont get much done.

Shez I took up tapping about 12 years ago, mainly to support my best mate who was a dance teacher and was starting up classes to bring a bit of cash in as she had 2 little ones and couldn't work fulltime. It was very adictive!:D
I wouldn't say I was brilliant at it even after all this time but I enjoy it and the group of us have stuck together over the years and become good friends. We hold shows of our own at our local theatre every 18 months or so in aid of local charities.we range in age from 14 to about mid fifties, my Mum was doing it at 63 but retired last year.We also have taught ourselves a bit of Irish dance - very basic but it always goes down well at our shows.
There are videos out to teach it to yourself at home but a class would probably be best. Shame there's none near you.

better get off and do something, I'll be back later!:D

    Afternoon everyone:hello: & :grouphug: & :kisses3: (take your pick:D)

Haven't been around for a few days, Hubby has got the chance fo a job in Cornwall so we have been umming & erring about whether he should go for it or not. Have finally decided he will.....having finally come to the decision whats the betting he doesn't get it:rotfl:Eek though, Cornwall's a long way from surburban Surrey if he does:eek:

Feeling rather proud of myself, this morning I finally plucked up the courage to go into the butchers. I waited until it was empty then went in & procliamed myself a butcher virgin, fortuntely the man was very nice (although he must think me crackers, I was very loud out of nerves). Anyway, I came away with 2 large sirloin steaks, 1lb mince & 2 huge chicken breasts marinaded in lemon & corriander, all organic & free range chicken too & he gurantees me will not shrink much in cooking as no water added, but the cost was £15:eek: I must admit it does look & smell nice, like real meat not supermarket pap & he even told me the serial number of the cow that the steaks came from, but I will have to streatch it out a lot at that price! He also threw in 2 sausages for me to try for free. It was the steaks which were super-expensive, almost £9 for 0.375 of a kilo, does anyone know if this is good value all things considered?

Have a nice sunny day everyone:wave:

PS: Spud's crawling around like mad & desperately trying to stand up:eek::D:j
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

    Hi everyone!
Not a lot going on here today except the weather is gorgeous and I can wear my new shoes I invested in yesterday:D Haven't bought any footwear for 2 years so am very overexcited!!
Nothing major planned really as don't finish here until 3pm and then will drop back in here before picking the small person up after Gardening Club. He's got a country dancing festival next week in the park with the other schools and he's very torn. His best friend loathes it and they play the "I hate country dancing" game at school...however, I think that secretly he quite enjoys it [must be all that folk music and morris dancers he's encountered in his short life] but he was most offended because he had to dance with another boy yesterday and he had to be the "gal".:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
OH is going to see if he can bring the car insurance quote down tonight...he initially looked glum when I suggested it but changed his tune after I produced the quotes from confused.com in true MSE style. We shall have to see!!
Won't have to cook tonight as there's enought veggie spag bol from last night to use as a baked pot topping.
Shall watch Spring Watch again but don't think I'll bother with BB again... they're all so vile to one another although I'm intrigued to see whether Leah has managed to poke anybody's eye out with her "assets" when she gives them a hug [Granville style in Open All Hours] Sorry that's very naughty of me...must be the heat affecting me:rotfl: :rotfl:

    Good afternoon,

Having a lovely relaxing day today, mind you, havnt even looked at the ironing so should really think about doing something!!!! The little one is asleep at the moment, so im having another surf on the net!!!
One worry tho, is a light i have never seen before came on in the car, stopped at our local vauxhall garage and the bloke in there said it was the 'engine management light' and it would need to come in to be looked at  I do know it needs some more oil (no light there, YET) but really could do with not having it in the garage. Told him i couldnt bring it in until after our holiday, and have noticed that the light has now gone off, so im hoping that once i put some oil in, and maybe check the water (ok, not me, but a friend!!!!:rotfl: ) that it wont come on again and it will be ok until its service.
Right, better go and do something, or i will start feeling guilty (well, maybe not!!!) Mind you, im planning on walking to school later, so that should make me feel a bit more virtuous!!!!

Liz, Queenie and Aussie Lass, i also love it when my children are home, i look forward to the school holidays and miss them terribly when they go back, its of the reasons i love being a childminder!!! Ive also been wondering how KiwiChick is getting on, hopefully she has finally moved into her new home!!!!

    Have a lovely afternoon everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
