Given the ammount of cleaning you've done this week I wouldn't be at all suprised if you've shifted a pound this week. As for me - I'm afraid I've been a little too fond of the old banana bread and seem to have regained a few pound.... !!!
Listening to those CD's is a great way to unwind too. I'd do it more often if it wasn't for the fact that either the chidren start yelling whenever I do, or if they are at school the dog pounces on me just as I start to relax (and if I shut the bedroom door he just howls!!!)

Hello everyone! And welcome back Penny_Pincher. Of course we missed you!! BargainRzl was very good though and passed on your messages.
I don't have a telly these days but when I did I really enjoyed Saturday Kitchen. Now that James Martin has a starring role, maybe it's time to buy a telly? Curry Queen, if you're reading what do you think? Is he as hunky as ever?
Aril - I'm really sorry to hear about the lady who passed away. It's a dreadful disease, and of course nobody is immune. Pearse Brosnan's (ex-James Bond) first wife died from it, even with their vast wealth there was ultimately nothing to be done. One of my friend's mother is v.ill with it at the moment. I keep in touch with him and enquire about his mother. She is fighting as much as she can but the outlook is very bleak. It's so hard for my friend - he is a doctor - and with all his knowledge and skill he knows the limitations of the treatment available when the disease isn't diagnosed early. It's truly heart breaking for all concerned.

Today I was at an agricultural show - it was good, lots of horses and ponies for show-jumping and general showing off. I saw a really cute dog show - some absolutely gorgeous dogs being trotted around, and one little Jack Russell type that looked like he'd rolled in something aromatic before the show. You gotta laugh really! They also had a section for baked goods. Well, if I had known that I would have entered some scones, a carrot cake and Penny Pincher's banana cake as mine look at least as good as the winning entries. In between I patted some ponies, a baby donkey, a mummy donkey and a couple of llamas (v.cuddly, would like to take one home). Besides the £5 entry fee I only bought two homemade cards - v.pretty and unique and only 80p each, and so much nicer than the £2.50 mass produced efforts sold in the shops.
Edinburghlass, well done on polishing your hob! Since your DD is doing tea this evening make sure she restores it to its gleaming glory. I think you deserve a pamper evening. Imagine, if you get the entire house done you would deserve a week in a health farm...
I've just polished off a mint flavoured Magnum bar. It was lovely. After last night's munchies (Twix bar, 2 chocolate wafers, v.v.big bag of crisps which I shared with the cat, half a bottle of wine...) I figured that a highly calorific Magnum bar is neither here nor there so scoffed it in about five seconds and didn't feel guilty. It was gorgeous.
I suppose I had better go and get something done. It's Flylady Challenge day six but since I missed last night and Tuesday night I need to get back on schedule.
Bye everyone.

Snowy, that is my kind of treat
I had a box of maltesers last night for doing nothing
But....
I did get a thank you from moggins for doing my hob today so I can slob out with BB tonight :j0 -
Edinburghlass...the effect of doing nothing is often underestimated and misunderstood.
Did you hurt anybody? NO!
Did you make anybody angry? NO!
Did you use up valuable energy and resources? NO!
Did you harm the environment? NO!
Did you create a mess? NO!
Did you create more work for yourself or for anybody else? NO!
You did not deserve that box of Maltesers. You deserved TWO! Well done!

You're right of course, although not sure daughter would agree as she found the empty box
However, I noticed they are reduced in Asda and I could get there and back before BB0 -
Evening folks
Well its nearly 9 o'clock at night and I am still suffering the effects from last night :embarasse
Hubby and I went to visit a couple we know. The intention was not to stay out too late as we were both working this morning. Rolled home around 1am after way too much Lambrini and then had to get up at 6 for work
Finished work at one and have done diddly squat since except go for a McDonalds to try and cure my hangover but it failed miserably and I had to have a wee lie down.
Will probably watch BB and then retire to bed and hopefully tomorrow I will have a less lazy day.
Bye for now :wave:0
