Morning all :hello:
I have a lovely list of things to do today....but I guess FL style I really should have hit the shower by now
Tootles - mmm, home made yoghurt, sounds delicous.
TM - great idea about FL yours PC, funny but I also thought of that this morning! I did FL my personal email inbox this week, took 3 hours  I think I need to do my PC a little bit at a time.
FF - sorry to hear you didn't get much sleep last night. Hopefully you will have a better day, hugs to you. Good luck at vouchers at Tescos, I've read on some other threads that Tescos are stopping taking them now? I haven't been brave enough to try yet!
Poppy - mm, spanish omlette. I want to try to make that, but haven't been brave enough. Sounds like a lovely storecupboard meal - yum.
Prudent - enjoy your gardening today. It counts as tidying if you consider it another room in your house!
Essex - have a good day.
rebl - I don't think it's sick, just inspiring! I have a small smile on my face this morning because 3 rooms in the flat are still tidy (I won't mention what the rest looks like :rotfl: )
frugal - poor you, your OH should be pleased you are trying. It takes time and experience to get the finances sorted, but you are doing the most important thing, looking at sorting them out! I have the same problem with blood tests. Once I tried to give blood and halfway through it just stopped 'pumping' out (sorry if anyone is eating their breakfast). I was told not to worry, some of us must just want to keep onto their blood more than othersHope you feel better soon.
VickyA - there is no such thing as spending too much time on MSE! Think how many tips you are getting that help you save those pennies to buy that bigger house!
Queenie - glad you treated yourself, you deserve itI'm considering treating myself to a laptop so I can browse and watch the telly in the evening.
I'm off to one of my sister's this evening so tomorrow we meet up with my other sister to go to see Take That in Milton Keynes. Then....back at work on Monday. Not looking forward to it after 6 weeks off. Thanks to everyone for keeping me company and uplifted the last 6 weeks! On Monday I find out who has what job and will see my ex-OHI need good luck vibes for the other job I've applied for!!
Right.... need to focus and get on with to do list...catch you later. MP x

Hi everyone!
Just a quick one from me today as am sitting here waiting for the students to arrive [I'm at work].
We had some devasting news last night. The Headmistress at my son's school passed away...she had ovarian cancer but had only been away since half term. She was 52. It's such an insidious form of the disease...very mild symptoms and barely traceable. I lost my Aunt to it. Anyway it concentrates the mind rather when something like that happens and puts everything into perspective. Consequently OH and I decided last night that we are definitely going on a trip on a lifetime with the small person to Canada in 2 years time. Yes it'll make a dent in our finances but you should make the best use of the time you have as you never know what's around the corner.
On to happier things. The starters meal was ab fab last night...we had gazapho soup with garlic bread, prawns with salmon and cocktail sauce, fresh asparagus with hollandaise sauce, chilli pork with a chilli dressed green salad, new pots wrapped in crispy parma ham, tandoori kebabs, sausage patties with Cumberland sauce and rounded off with strawberries, meringues [not hm] and whipped cream that I had stirred elderflower cordial into...oh yes and perhaps the odd small sweet sherry!! Anyway feel stuffed to the gunnells and won't need to eat for a week!
Best now depart and get on with some work I suppose.

Tell OH that he is quite right- you could be spending time together having long meaningful talks- or you could go shopping! He will be begging you to get back to MSE!!;)
Packed DH off to the York Family History Fair which is being held on the racecourse today. I think he deserves a bit of time to do something he is really interested in after having supported me over the last couple of months.
He will still be back to take us to see my Dad in the hospice tonight.
May make a large quiche for later today but just pottering at the moment."This site is addictive!"

Hello everybody,
I've had an exhausting day in the city today. My feet are killing me, not to mention my wallet.
Just kidding. I was rather a good girl today. Bought myself a new pr of sunglasses, book & some hair conditioner stuff. I also bought DH some chocolates which I will share with him. Don't know if you get Darrell Lea chocs over there, but they are to die for. V expensive but worth every mouthful.
I also stumbled across this lovely old fashioned tea shop. They had every tea imaginable. I bought some Prince Of Wales tea. Never tried it before but will feel a bit posh
tomorrow when I have a cup.
((((hugs))))) to all those that need them. Hope you all have a nice day. Catch up with you later. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Sorry I've not been posting but I have been trying to keep up with you all. The FLC sounds good, I'll have to try to catch up, but it will have to wait until after I move home, which is in a week!
Life at the moment is lists, cardboard boxes, more lists, more boxes  I am just focusing on how good it will feel to have breakfast on my little terrace while reading the daily and watching the ducks. That is if I remember to sort the phone and BB connection!Back to the lists and boxes!
Have lovely weekends all.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

Queenie - I hope yoy enjoy 'your' day today.
VickyA - I was advised when I was buying my home that I should opt for the one that gave me the most 'property' for my money. I think I would add to that the proviso of - providing you can then afford to maintain it (mine needs LOADS of work - keyword was 'potential' when I bought it, and still is  )
Frugalpie - huge hugs to you.
rebl43 - you'll be amazed at just how much you can get done in 15 minutes! (seen your last post - add 'and you'll be amazed how 15 minutes just ain't enough on here!!!!)
Essex girl - I hope you enjoy the party tonight.
Prudent - Enjoy your shopping and gardening.
Poppycracker - supper last night sounded lovely... enjoy your lunch
Funky fairy - hope your tummy eases up ((hugs)) Just read your second post - I can 100% recommend taking 'Collis Browne's mixture'. You have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter (obviously send someone else!) and they may well be reluctant to sell it (it contains opiates so they worry people will get addicted to it) Despite pharmasists concerns my bottle has lasted a year, even though I use it for me and the little ones whenever a really bad tummy upset hits. Not cheap, but very effective. Failing that peppermint tea can ease tummy cramps a little and ginger eases nausea (if you can stomache either)
TM - Good luck with FLC your pc. Did a little on mine last night by removing an old antivirus (I've been using another for the past few years). So far it seems to have resolved a LOT of problems!
Tootles - Strawberries sound lush, can't wait for mine to grow. Might take DS3 to pick some next week as he has a day off on the Friday (long enough for the farm to recover from the usual weekend masses!!!)
Aril - Your Canada idea sounds Fab. Sometimes a goal like that can make 'budgeting' far more motivating don't you think? Good luck to you - and your 'starters' last night sounded soooo lovely. Mind, my H/M pizza was lush too
Elona - Hope your dad is settling in nicely in the hospice. Yum - a quiche sounds nice. Might just make one to take with me tomorrow (taking DS3 to safari park ..... if it was DS2 there's be a risk that they'd keep him if they had monkeys....)
OK - it's only taken my and hour to read this thread and type this up.......
Sorry if I've missed anyone who came on while I was typing the last bit....
Going to have a gentle 'get to it' day today. House needs a swish and swipe throughout to keep up the FLC, several loads of washing need doing and I need to make up a picnic for tomorrow. As I'm driving both ways tomorrow (fairish distance) I need to ensure I get a good nights kip too.
I hope everyone has a good day today, and I'll probably pop back on to read more posts, but may need to FL timer my time on line, so will most prob not have time to post. Don't thinkI'm skiving if you see my green light on - I tend to leave it on to save time logging on and off (which takes an eternity on my pc!!!)
Kaz x

The CD is excellent, do take time out to use it MP - it can help with more than just the eating. You might find the ' change your life in 7 days' one good too. Though it seems a tad OTT it's really effective and has helps me tons.
Let me know if you try it?
