Just thought i would reassure you about your ka. The rear bushes go frequently on cars that drive around Sheffield due to the hills and pot holes in the road, not the driving. Every car we owned while there had that problem, although since moving it hasn't been a problem. It's not that expensive to fix.

Tell me about it - the roads in Sheffield are awful! Even the man at the garage said that it was the most common thing for cars in Sheffield to fail an MOT on, and that nearly every car he serviced came up with an Amber (ie. borderline fail)... Reassuring to know but doesn't give me the £120 that we'll need to get them sorted!

Should probably get a car tax discount as compensation for the damage it does but then I suppose the council would blame this lack of funding for not fixing the roads!!

Hi Kaz, no staggered return....unfortunately! But I have some time in lie to take back over the next couple of weeks so I'm only in work for 3 days out of 5 next week. It'll give me time to catch up on here :)

    Hello everyone

I have been fast asleep for most of this evening. This always happens after I've been blubbing, get knackered and terribly thirsty. I've hydrated myself with a drink of water, and got some replacement salt into me by way of a 150g bag of Walkers Sensations crisps. I gave my cat two (he loves crisps!) so I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I did NOT eat the entire bag on my own...:o. I'm taking a tip from Tootles and having a nice glass of wine (it's a half pint glass!!) to keep me mellow for the rest of the evening. I want to sleep again, I'm still knacked.

Talking of Tootles...Tootles, I think the £100 more you pay a month is very good value for a spare bedroom and your own garden. I don't know if you sit outside or if you dry clothes outside or whatever - but the worth of a garden, IMHO, is about five times more than a spare room could ever be. In the new development are there any ground floor flats with gardens, or even, at a pinch any flats with balconies so that you have a bit of outside space? From what you say it doesn't seem practical to have just one bedroom - if you aren't happy would you be able to revert to a two bedroom home with a garden? Well, you're thinking hard about this, you don't need me to advise.

MushyPeas...did you get the application for your boss's job in? Sorry if you've already mentioned it before but I'm a bit sleep weary and a bit sozzled... The "reorganisation" of your current job doesn't seem to be acceptable. Good luck with the return to the w***place, whatever happens.

FRUGAL...Yes, I could weep with joy because it is Friday. Shez says "Thank Crunchie it's Friday!". Well I say "Thank 1 Twix Bar, 2 Taxi bars, a handful of miscellaneous sweeties, a bowl of homemade soup, a 150g bag of Walkers crisps (minus two for the cat), a bottle of delicious Spanish red (it's absolutely scrummy!), two beautifully kitty cats - please be assured I did not eat them - and a big double bed all to myself, it's Friday!!"

To save you the bother of spotting what I've achieved in the Flylady challenge today, I have achieved nowt..ie NADA!! Niente! Rien. Bog all in fact:p:p. Manana is another day!

So much for my early night..... DS2 was invited to stay over at bands house so I didn't have to collect him after gig, so I could def get an early night. Could I go to sleep before I had spoken to him? Nope - had to wait up until I spoke to him. On here now trying to wind down again so I can get some kip. Have set the breadmaker to finish at 9 in the hope that I'll have a lie in....
    We'll see ;)
    G'night all,

    :hello: Goooooood Morning, :D:D

Just a quickie this morning because I'm having a "Me Day" (self centred or what!!?? )

Tomorrow I'm out all day helping someone with their garden so I'm putting on a Chilli in the SC to take with me to feed the hungry hordes, well, there'll be 6 of us :rotfl:

Treated myself to an MP3 player yesterday from some pin money - is that really money saving? Oooh, yes, indeedy!! I think I shall be far happier and more productive going about my daily doings with *my* choice of music to keep me on my toes, rather than trying to blot out the noise from thoughtless neighbours who want to hear *their* music full blast through open windows!

I'm making up a couple of rice bags today to give to some friends, one for when she comes out of hospital and a 2nd for another friend who took a bit of a fall earlier inthe week and has pulled something in his back. Ouchie!

Brunch: Egg on toast with grilled toms
Evening Meal: Salmon with sprouted seed salad.

Been very pleased with how timing myself to do 15 minute tasks is progressing but it's also working well in reverse - I'm using it when I get on MSE too so that I don't get sidetracked (except the timer is set for slightly longer :o )

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

Morning Queenie and everyone who will follow :hello:

Not sure what the weather is like with you, but it's raining here :( Such is life! Once I've had my shower, I'll be having another shower by walking down into town  :D

According to OH, I spend too much time  :D on here, so I am going to try to curb my addiction! However, I'll still be on here every day, just for not as much time....... I'm not leaving......... How could I anyway? :D

We're going up to OH's parents tonight. They don't know it yet... but we're getting our wedding present early as it's to do with the potential purchase of a house. Speaking of which, we've got 2 2nd viewings this weekend on a couple of houses. We'll see what we think once we've had a bit of time to think about them. One of them would be stretching our budget a little, but there's soooooooooooooooo much storage space for my junk!

Anyway, I'd better get on. See you all later.

    Morning all,

I'm back again with my tail between my legs.....

I have made a total mess of our finances and Dh and I have had a masssive fight about it. So I told him to take over if he thought he could do a better job of it!

It doesn't help that my health isn't so good at the mo, am absolutely exhausted and am off sick from work at the mo.

I had tons of blood tests done the other day and in the middle of them my vein gave up, and they had to take from the other arm. What was that all about?

Anyway, I'm back in the land of OS and this time I'm staying....

Hugs to you all this morning.

    Frugalpie
