catznine - i think you should have an Anthea Cheese n Wine OS meet in your new conservatory!
MP - jst to let you know, I have emailed 2 friends about meeting up! so another positive step.0 -
Hello, all. Thanks for all your warm wishes after my bad day yesterday :A . Feeling completely wrung out. Not been sleeping well. Forced myself to run this morning, and really enjoyed it (REM, Chumbawumba and Carpenters helped :rotfl: ) Think I'm peaking at the right time for Race for Life next week.
Supposed to be working from home, but the call of Stardrops is too strong! :T Completely fallen off FLC train. Will start again next week, and hope to shine my sink later today.
Roz, cars! Never understand people (DS included) who love them. They're just money pits.
Queenie, PMT, love it! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Tootles, Rzl, Sky, Ticklemouse, you are all making my head ache with your explanations of your families! I had a similar experience after my father died. Everyone seemed to know, including all my sisters and cousins, but no-one ever thought to fill me in as they thought I knew. No big deal, but it was strange not to have been able to discuss with my dad himself.
Moggins, ......no I'm not smiling, honest..... :rotfl: hugs to your OH, hope he's better soon.
Fever pitch is now being reached - taking junior penguins to Queen's party on Sunday. Off to in-laws tomorrow, then London on Sunday. Tate modern in the morning, then Buckingham palace in the afternoon. Can't wait! What with no-uniform day today, school disco tonight, and garden party, DD's room looks like there's been a break in. 3 outfits in 3 days is more than I can cope with.
Have a good weekend, Penny. x
Edit, thanks OS'ers, 150 posts, and another gold star! The day gets better! :j :A :T:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

LOL at the PMT for men Queenie - I too have PMT symptoms today (already shouted at DD for kicking me in the eye with shoes on!! ) so just hope I can remain calm for DH when he gets back - he has gone out to work today to finish off then he can rest and recouperate. I have to be careful what i put on here, i think he may view this thread sometimes to see what im saying- either that or he's wanting some x-stitch advice!:rotfl: - no he's usually on the technie board.
Can I join the skinny rake club.DD is tall, too, so if trousers fit around the waist, they're half mast. Gets it from her dad, sadly, not me! I tell her that though she's teased about it now, if she keeps a good posture, she'll be happy when she's 18!
Shez, if you didn't have PMT, would you react differently to being kiched in the eye with a shod foot? I wouldn't!

Afternoon
Skystar - my daughter is a bean pole & M&S is the only place where the trousers fit her so I always buy from them - when finished this post will go on their website. They are more expensive but the quality is good.
Moggins - Hope your days gets better.!
Thank you Chipps, Queenie & Roz_V - I havnt been to the circus in years.
rebl43 - In those sort of circumstances you can only think - 'everything happens for a reason'.
Oh by the way Roz - is nothing covered by the warranty as your car is only 2 years old??
Must go now - have a good afernoon all.0 -
Hi All
Another busy one in the office, but hey, can't go without popping by!
Brandy's back at the vet's today - post op check up. We've already had a bill for over £200 this week, so dread to think what's going up to now:eek: But he's worth every penny
Received some goodies in the post this morning, so we've all got bugs on our desks and air fresheners in our cars now! :T
Pay day too:T :j Need some more over time though
Hugs to all who needs themComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Oooooh, have a nice time at the garden party PenPen! Glad you mentioned it as I will have to think carefully about how to get to and from church on Sunday as I strongly suspect that an event like that might mean extensive road closures/bus route alterations/overcrowded tubes. Hmmm. Better have a think. Best route from London Bridge or Charing Cross to Marble Arch and back, anybody? (Will probably walk from Charing Cross
)

Oh, Shez, you win on the housepoints :j Though I haven't done any exercise, you keep me thinking about it! Funny that PenPen mentioned going for a run to feel better, I think that's what I need to do. Sitting in by myself in the evenings with a bottle of wine and getting through a packet of sensations a night is not going to help the waistline...or mental health I guess
Hello to all btw. Sorry, head all over the place today so can't remember what to say to everyone!
Trying to decide whether to apply for my boss' job or not? Can't rremember if I've explained, but scenario is as follows. Department being restructured, my job will be twice the workload (bad as haven't been coping with job anyway), but line manager has managed to shift nasty part of their job onto my new job description! Everyone telling me to go for lm's job, but feel bad about that. Dilema...have to send application in by 1530
Told you my head was everywhere today
Better go and have a cuppa to help me get through the day.
Catch you all later

That's what I thought but apparently it's all "wear and tear" and therefore not covered - not helped by the fact that OH missed its first service last year as he "never got round to it" :wall:
I don't love cars, I just have a need for one - well I will do when i move out of the city to a place forsaken by First Buses and need to drive to the P&R in order to commute into the City centre/Meadowhall every day...
Oh well - I guess I'll just need to keep an eye on it and be very careful seeing as I'm going to have to contribute towards any future works :rotfl:0 -
Ah that explains it.
Luckily only I drive my car as hate my OH driving it - he even manages to use a lot more petrol for the same mileage so he's no longer allowed. I do love it and def have the need as live in a rural location.
Praps 'the men' who as we know are much better drivers than us (obvious sarcastic) will be more careful after that bill!0
