Hello all. Pretty carp day today.
2 of our baby chicks died in the night. We have 2 left, and as they grew it became more and more obvious that the others weren't thriving. OH had softened up the children, so they were expecting it, but it was stil v. v. sad. Children still want to hatch eggs again, so am trying to Freecycle an incubator (we borrowed one this time).
Went to the funeral of a good friend today. Church packed out, and everyone in tears. Have cried on and off most of the day. She was too young, and it's a totally dreadful thing for her hub and children.
Pooky, when you said that you only had 3 courgette plants left, I guessed it was your first time of growing them. :rotfl: I only planted out 1 last year, and could have supplied Tesco! They are great to grow, and really prolific. Piece of advice, keep picking them, even if you give excess away, or compost them, as if you don't they'll grow into marrows and not set any more fruit.
Moggins, took a quick skegg at Tipking. Looks good, thanks.
Shez, do make sure you look after the 2 of you. Your OH will thank you for all your support in the long term. Big hugs. :A
Math, if you eat exclusively by pinching morsels from the plates of others, the calories accrue to the owner of the plate, not the pincher of the titbit. Also, if you eat a biscuit that is broken, it only has half the calories.
Vicky, I had this problem with my in laws, and it drove me mad  . Won't go into details, but they were brilliant once children were born. :T
Culpeper, is there photographic evidence of these swimsuits. They sound very impressive! :T
Moggins, very much in awe of your rasps. I far prefer them to strawberries. Enjoy! Oooh, just noticed, you're mentioned twice! You deserve it. :T :T
Rzl, opera tonight, you lucky thing! I'll join you next time you have a free ticket. We can search for llamas together.
Queenie, what a boy!
DH went to the pub. I was going to join him, but couldn't face it, so am sitting here with class of chilled white, listening to the Archers on real player. Was intending to read Flylady thread, but see nearly 300 posts(!?!?!) so may take laptop to bed and see how far I get. Need to catch up on Moggins manual thread, too, and storecupboard.............. Flylady has gone by the wayside this week. Haven't even shined my sink (but did get dressed yesterday, following my faux pas on Tue).
Hope I'll be back to a bit of my perky self tomorrow.

Morning everyone, it's Friday, yippee!! :j:j:j
Gosh, can't believe I'm awake - going from the sublime to the ridiculous with my sleeping pattern this week, after my 18 hour sleepathon earlier this week I'm back to a four hour night and actually feel refreshed!
Today is another w*** day - another day another dollar as the saying goes, there isn't anything exciting to report on top of that.
Shez - hope you're feeling alright and that your OH is listening to you.
Moggins - same to you of course. Sounds like these two OHs have reverted to caveman behaviour, hope it is but a temporary lapse from their normal selves.
My plan of action for this evening is to tackle my office. There is a lot of filing to do, but I'm going to pile that up and actually wash my desk down, and clean the floor and the various surfaces that are in here. Then I'll do some more filing and chucking out.
Bye for now.

:hello: Goooood Morning, Snowy and fellow OS'ers
Windows thrown open to air the house, chook all topped up, furbaby grooming and boys still in the land of nod, so it's nice tranquil start to the day
Today is another busy out and about kind of day, so 'flying' will be in 15 min increments interspersed throughout the day. Haven't caught up with the FLC thread so I'm hoping everyone is doing ok and achieving some of their goals.
Hoping to have things at least 'presentable' before the weekend starts because I've set myself a few other challenges for this weekend.
Snowy - ah, yes, the home office space ... mine could do with a bit of a going over too, thank you for the reminder
PP - I am so, so sorry to read about yesterday, sounds like a real challenge of a day.
moggins - have a good morning shopping with the parentsIt's becoming quite trendy to have siesta's these days, so if you should get home exhausted, it's ok to have a guilt-free doze
jockett - fingers X'd for you!
Roz - how was your steamed fish?
scuzz - hope you manage to get your staff do organised with as few a headaches as possible!
Aril - hope your belated solstice evening was a success.
MATH - enjoy Wilko'sIt's great for picking up bargains
Funky - hope your ds is feeling a bit better today. My ds was unwell last week so I know how you feel. Hope you are feeling better today too ((hugs))
catz - You're baking sounds very productive! And yes a great achievement when you have CF!! The conservatory sounds lovely, hopefully it'll be finished very soon and you can enjoy sitting with the ceiling fan going (avoid doing paperwork when it's on though
 )
Wishing you all a frugal, flying Friday

Morning girlies. And everyone else to follow.
Didn't get chance to post yesterday as i had a busy day at w***, then visited my brother who is now at home after the tonsilectomy. He is in a bit of a mess, and not a very good patient, so i did a bit of fetch-me, carry-me to make life easier for my dad.
My to do list that i hoped to complete at work i can't see me getting done now, so i will end up having to write some reports over the weekend. Although i will schedule some relaxation time too.
I was supposed to be back at school for a presentation evening at 7, but as i didn't get home until about 5:45, i didn't. I'll probably be in bother now today. I'll say i felt ill as its true.
plan for today - 4 lessons, plus i want to get marked a couple of sets of books, so i think i will work through lunch, and then carry on after the kids leave even though it is Friday. Then, i might actually get further with the FLC this evening, although realistically it is more likely i will just write a list of thingss to do over the weekend.
Hope you all have a more productive day than i have planned for your FLC.

Good Morning SnowyOwl, Queenie, Cha97michelle, and everyone else.
When I started logging onto PC everyone was in bed and I was looking forward to a few minutes peace and quiet on here but dd & ds have now decided to get up early - oh well never mind.
Today have got to pop into town, need some toiletries so will use my 10% off superdrug voucher, also need to return books to the library. Will have a mooch round for a birthday present for my cousin. Then will treat myself to a lovely mocha in my favourite coffee shop.
Then home to some office work and some fl - like Queenie it will be done in 15 min bursts but still hope to get a lot done.
B - toast
L - prob sandwhich
D - think will have pork kebabs and onion rice.
Ooh forgot Circus is in a local town and have got free tickets so that will be something to look forward to tonight.
Have a great day all.0 -
Good morning all!
Busy day today, as we are away for the weekend.
Flylady challenge is going to be following her 15-minutes-is-enough rule today!
Have emptied d/w, washing is done & ready to go out, vaccuumed floor downstairs.
Still to do: swish & swipe in bathroom, make beds & just keep kitchen as clear as possible - including the sink (which is unlikely to ever shine, being 1980's asterite - but the principle is there!) As I have been trying to keep on top of things that should be enough.
DS is out this morning, so last little bits of shopping can be done, presents wrapped & packing done.
ooh! (edit...) Have a lovely time at the circus, Essex-girl!
Have a good day everyone!0
