Hi everyone!
I think it's going to be a bitty day today. Have got the house ship shape and all the hoovering done -even did behind the settee which is a rare event in my house. My house is pretty clean and tidy most of the time but it doesn't do to look in the corners! Keep looking at the cobwebs and thinking I should do something about them and then I think "aah but that's a spider's home so more eco friendly than removing them! Unfortunately some of them have been there a tad too long for that argument to hold much water!!
Well the solstice walk didn't happen...cancelled due to high winds. So I sat there last night on my tod with glass of red wine feeling hard done by and being a miserable old moo. Not that I had any excuse really as I'd fed my Starbucks habit in the afternoon with a couple of friends and I'm doing a belated solstice thing tonight with another friend! Lovely I was...!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Plans for today involve meeting another friend for coffee at M&S...my excuse is that I won't be able to do this when I'm working fulltime so I'm packing them in now!! Then it's a quick whizz home, do the lunches, rummage about in the freezer and extract a pizza which will be accompanied by all the bits and pieces of salad stuff lurking in the fridge. Then possibly helping out at Beavers, if not I shall try to do the accounts which didn't get done last night. Was feeling too hard done by and grumpy by that stage although did finish the garage floor.
Am hoping to pick strawberries on Sat with the small person in the afternoon after work time/weather permitting and make it into scrummy jam.
Enough of my witterings you poor people...I'm off to find all these money saving tips so that I can afford my Starbucks habit!!

Hi Yall, breezy and cool here in the emids. I've shirked all my jobs this morning and took myself off to the nearest town for a good mosey about and a browse of the new Wilko's which is the size of a small principality and sells EVERYTHING!!! LOL
I picked up a pair of sandles for eldest MATHLETT which if he doesn't like them I shall wear as we now take the same size and stocked up on a couple of months worth of family toileteries. I normally wouldn't pay Boots prices but I got a load of vouchers from paid2clicking so it put them to good use. I'm saving the rest for Christmas shopping. Sorry to any readers who get the heebie-geebies hearing the word "CHRISTMAS" uttered in June:D I even tried to look young, cool and stylish sipping a cafe latte el fresco at one of those trendy coffee places. My sis can't pass a Starbucks without going in but then she does live in America and I'm not sure they have kettles over there:rolleyes: She can't figure out how I can manage to go shopping and not partake of refreshments until I get back home even though i may be out for a full 90 minutes:rotfl:
Back on my diet after too many chips at the coast. Whoever told me they we calorie free if you eat them standing up and looking out to sea lied through their teeth. LOL
Curried Fried Onion Rice and Mango and curry marrinated chicken drummers for tea with salad.
Shez - hugs. Remember to ask people for help if you need it rather than struggle alone and deffo get OH to speak to his doctor.
Moggins - Hugs. Hope you've climbed out of the Slough of Despond by now.
I've not been on OS for a while so may have missed somethings. Does anyone know where PP is?
Well those emails won't answer themselves.

Hi everyone
Hugs to Moggins and Freya and Scuzz and Funky fairy.... and anyone else who needs one by now.
It's yukky up here, where's the summer gone?
I'm just trying to get through my last day before my long weekend off.... Surprise surprise, the OH did the housework today! After about three days of me 'ignoring' the washing up, I came in from my morning rounds to find he's done it!!! Mind you, he is one of 'those' moods today, so I know how you feel Moggins. Nothing you can do with them when they get like that, just ignore them....or have a knock down-dragout fight....which we have been known to do!
Right, must get back to it... hopefully the people I have to go and see in the afternoon will be out. You never know I might get lucky!DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

Atmosphere at work could be cut with a knife.
We're trying to plan another night out but getting everyone together at the same time is proving difficult
I have loads of food on my desk - doesn't look like I've eaten anything all week, I have so many bits and pieces from lunches left over
Can't believe it's taken me an hour and a half just to write this bit! Been called away so many times!
Hugs to all who need
Aww babe you know i am here if you need a chat0 -
Good Afternoon!
(((((HUGS))))) to Shez, so sorry you are having a rotten time at the mo, as others have said don't forget to look after yourself.
(((((HUGS)))))) to Moggins, Elona, Scuzz and anyone else in need.
Well the conservatory is nearly all done. Electricians have finished here and I now have a super duper ceilingfan/light/air ioniser plus sockets and wall lights. Just need to wait for the floor to dry out thoroughly so it can be tiled. In the meantime OH and I will be getting on with the painting. Can't wait till we can move in properly.
Still not up to the full Flylady challenge but do have shiny sinksand have started a home manual (Thank you Moggins) to get me organised.
Have just made a sherry trifle, gooseberry crumble (with gooseberries from the garden, not many though!) and mixed up some home made muesli, so have achieved something with the day!
Dinner tonight is steak (Aldi - only £3.99, yummy and enough for 4 :j ) chips, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms followed by gooseberry crumble.
Just got the ironing now which I will do while I watch a one of the free dvds we have collected from the papers.

Afternoon All
(((Hugs))) to those who need them - seems like a few today.
Just got in house and in office at the mo, gonna go and cook dinner now (saus/mash onions & peas) then will be back in office for a short while. Then will be doing some ironing - not much there luckily as have been keeping on top of it this week.
Re FLC - will prob just be 15 mins in my bedroom - ah well its better than nothing.
Gonna shoot now - have a great evening.0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
((((((((((Shez)))))))))
I hope that your days have been ok. I decided to leave school soon after the children as I'd spent far too long talking to them and sorting out their problems. One girl seems to be quite devious, so trying to work out the real story was quite an ordeal! Then another classroom was playing a song by Coldplay - innocent enough until a girl started sobbing because it was a song played at her dad's funeral. Plus, as it's Year 6, most of the girls are complaining of "stomach aches". The boys are mainly concerned about the football .
OH spoke to his mum last night, which seemed to be quite a success. If we find a house to buy then she knows of a solicitor that we could use. In addition, she's also promised to not talk about us having her grandchildren! Every time I see her or speak to her she talks about "when" we have grandchildren and she "hopes" that she'll have "at least two" from each of her children. This really gets on my wick as tbh, the last thing I want to think about atm is having children (esp as I have 27 little demons in my class) and it all feels a bit pressurised. In addition, OH's big sister is promising not to talk about "putting babies clothes away for when she can pass them on" to us!
We're looking at another 3 houses tonight. Not sure what they're going to be like, but they all look nice on the outside   OH should be back from work in time. Here's hoping........
Soup again for supper!
