Thanks for the cleaning tips Chipps. My sister bought some microcloths for the first time ever at the Ideal Home Exhibition as has been raving about them ever since. Any idea where else I can buy them from?
Almost anywhere, I think. I have seen them in Aldi, Lidl, Wilkinson - am pretty sure someone mentioned buying them from Tesco.
Mine are the Aldi ones - you get a pack of 2 for just under £2, one is a normal one (looks a bit like a flannel) the other one is great for glass (looks like the stuff you get in a glasses case to clean your glasses with) That was also the only cloth that has really worked to clean the dust off my wooden ikea venetian blinds.0 -
Morning all, no ones started today's thread so I guess it's down to me
Feeling a little down and despondent today but can't let that stop me, up and onwards with the challenge!
Hope everyone's feeling okay, it's rotten weather here so a good day for doing the housework indoors.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good morning everyone,
good morning moggins!
The weather's nice here - will get the washing out in a few minutes.
Not too much in the way of Flying today, as DS has piano lesson this morning & orthodontist this afternoon. In between we have some shopping to do, as we have a wedding on Saturday, & DGD's 2nd birthday party on Sunday, and I have the church magazine to finish this evening.
At least there's one good thing about all this keeping up to date with the housework; the place doesn't look too bad if things don't get done for a day!
Have a good day!0 -
morning moggins & everyone else to follow
Couldnt believe that there wasnt at least 20 posts by now.
Im feeling okay, but DH isnt, he's having abit of a breakdown (which i could see coming), he didnt come home yesterday and eventually heard from him at 10.45 (i was worried sick and had been out looking everywhere)
so looks like i may have to step in and do his work so he can have some time out/rest for a few days, just got to sort kids out to be looked after.
So good job ive got all the house ship/shape FLC. Must try to get DH to see doc i think. Must be there for him as he was there for me when i went through horrible PND (probably my fault he's were he's at now).
Right not going on anymore before it all sounds too miserable this time of the morning. Gotta get moving and get everyone sorted.
Havent had chance to read yestrdays thread, hope everyone is okay and hugs/wishes to all who need them.

Morning all! :hello:
It was dull and overcast when I set off for w**k, but now its sunny!
Hopfully the sun will come out for you too MOggins! As you say, good weather for indoor things to do.
Got home last night and the wind had blown over one of my plants that I was thinking about putting in the garden. NOt only blown over, but the pot had come off and been despatched to Lord knows where! So, get in, get changed. Get trowel out of garage. Plant in front garden and water in. While I am doing this, decide to water other plants that are looking as though they need a quencher. Pick up twigs and small branchlets:eek: that have fallen off the trees and despatch those over the fence into the holding area for twigs. (Neighbours field - he doesn't mind as it stops people climbing over his fence and trespassing!) See some weeds, have to pull those out before they get any bigger.. and so it went on!
So looks like indoor chores for me tonight as I didn't get any done last night - apart from shiny sink! Which leads me to....
DH [STRIKE]went potty[/STRIKE] remonstrated with me for swilling down the soap suds with water - wasting water etc. Is there an alternative other than not generating suds in teh first place?:D
Have a lovely day everyone

From the Fly thread :Plans for today are :
- Get the washing up finished - I did a batch last night that was just cups and glasses and the cutlery
Still have to do plates/bowls and 3 saucepans
:o
- Get the rest of the ebay stuff typed up if possible, if not they can just be listed next week. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to let OH list the computer bits as I haven't a clue
- Get the b*o*dy ironing done :eek::rotfl:
- See if I can manage to get any more statements scanned. Didn't manage any yesterday:o
I might not be Flying as in deep cleaning, but I'm defo decluttering :rotfl:
Not got anything planned for tea. Did an inventory of food yesterday so I might have a menu planning session while having lunch. Discovered I have loads of pasta/rice/flour and also LOADS of frozen veg. Will have to have a good look at my list later as DD is refusing to go in the bathroom to clean her teeth as it's very windy (so the trees in next doors yard are make a "scary noise" ) and now the police helicopter has decided to hoover nearby.
Looks like it could be one of those days :mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Get the washing up finished - I did a batch last night that was just cups and glasses and the cutlery

morning all
moggins - warm hugs - im feeling the same today - feel like crawling back under the duvet and hiding from all that needs to be done
shez - MEGA hugs - im sorry to hear re OH and hope you get the kids etc all sorted - make sure to not work yourself too hard - no good if you breakdown too.
busy day for me today. put 26 books on amazon tuesday and have sold 8 so far. so off to the post office as soon as its open. will walk dog while i am out and about as the sun looks about to be wiped away by some nasty looking big black clouds.
baking day today but i got ahead with bread last week so todays baking will be a lemon meringue pie and a victoria sponge. Nothing too taxing there.
have my store cupboard inventory done and am half way through a meal plan to take me up to the end of july. i THINK all ill need to buy between now and then is flour, sugar, butter, stork and milk - thanks to new potatoes, peas and broad beans in the garden.
breakfast: cornflakes
Lunch: cheese and onion sandwich.
Dinner: sardines on toast with mega salad and last of my upside down chocolate and pear pudding ( it stayed fresh enough in fridge to last a week so ty again to squeaky for suggesting it! )
have a good day all.
