I dont feel I can post anything constructive during the period where support for the british war machine is ongoing.
Can someone please tell me when it will be removed?

Nasa Im sorry you feel this way - however the poppy will be staying until monday.
It is in honour of the troups of this country who have fought over the years - those who stoody up to Nazi-ism in world war II, those who have helped peace keep around the world and those serving now.
Regardless of views about the rights or wrong of any specific conflict, the poppy shows our support of the individuals who are putting their life on the line. It's probably also worth being aware that one of this site's main charities is help for heros (see MSE Charity fund)

NASA, during WWII the British fought against my country. That does not mean that I disregard the memory of their dead soldiers, any more than I disregard that of our own.
The military of all countries lay down their lives because they are told to. If there is any blame for this loss of life, it should be laid at the door of politicians, not soldiers.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Surely it should stay till the 11th!.....0
