okay, so now I signed up to Gala bingo, thinking yes it's £5 deposit, but it's free bingo tonight plus I cashbacked making a cool £12.50 through greasy palm.
OMG how confusing is it? And as soon as I sit down with it, need the loo. Sigh. I'm never going to win huge amounts of money and buy a poolhouse with a bladder like a pea. Plus it's all automatic, so you kinda sit there like a melon. A melon with a small bladder. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

At least you have won something, all i would win is new matchsticks to keep my eyes open...Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Considering a bingo hen night just to annoy my best mate who categorically stated she's string me up if I did...lol....ooh I feel a mean streak surfacing. But how cool would it be to win half a mill on my hen night? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Well that's not a bad idea..if the hen night is in Barcelona, they have Gala bingo over there and a rather plush Casino..not that i have been in the casino...*cough*Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I just love when my e-mail crops up to tell me a thread I have subscribed to has had a new post and then I look and it's this one
Just makes my day!
Good luck with Rossendales - I had a brief running with a DCA after returning from honeymoon and had great fun with them (certain the debt is a matter of fiction as it dates back SO far about a loan I had with Lloyds TSB and I know I re-arranged loans a couple of time WITH Lloyds after the date they say it's from so think it's more likely to be someone elses debt at the same-ish address they are trying to pile on meEspecially as I've never had a blip on my credit record....)
Anyway look at it as a cheap form of amusementI activated a free pay as you go card with a fiver and called them from that so they have no contact numbers for me hehe then told them that a) I dispute the debt is mine - feel free to send me a CCA though and PROVE I owe a penny! b) it's WELL over 6 years and thus even if I DID owe it there is a little matter called Statute Barred - I'm sure they have heard the term but I will send them a recorded letter explaining all the legal mumbo jumbo as I don't expect them to be as boring as me and actually know stuff about these things... incidentally they might wanna visit the DFW boards on MSE to see how naughty they are being...
I haven't heard from them since... I might call them again next week just because I feel like itMake a change... someone chasing THEM
Oh shoot... I think I might just have to!!!

*takes a bow* why thank you!
I take pride in being pretty evil when it suits me...
Yesterday I called Madasafish broadband and got out of my contract before the end of my 12 months with out any charges and won't get billed for the remains of my contract despite leaving... I have this annoying habit of bringing up EVERY little break of contract they might have made and to my colleagues astonishment it took me a matter of 10 minutes to get it sorted and she's been trying to get her brothers subscription cancelled and gave up in the end.
It's ALL about attitude really - They'll cling to "you can't cancel" until you point out infact THEY breached the contrcat with you by failing to "fix the problem and provide the service agreed to by contract within a reasonable timeframe" - by all means if they'd prefer then I'd be happy to speak to their legal department and discuss the issue with some of their terms in the contract?
I was a tiddly little bit annoyed I have to admit
Oh well at least I got out of the contract and now I have about 2 weeks till my FREE broadband with unlimited download etc comes into effect... The ONE perk of working for one of the top 5 ISPs!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Not evil enough - I'd have charged them £25 for my time wasted, then hunted them down, turned up on their doorsteps and been really unpleasant. Perhaps made some notes in a tatty black folder - eye up their motor and then charge them another £100. Tell them there's a van parked round the corner.
See how they like them apples....This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Yay go Mrs T. I'm surprised they didn't give you the moon on a stick as well.
Lets all do a Martin Lewis, and stick it to the bad guys!!! Time to pull up tiny subparagraphs and poke them at stupid companies. Quote the law ad nauseam, reel off consumer acts and then wave your a33 at them in an insulting manner......This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
