Morning Chickies,
You'll all be glad to know my recent 'omg I'm so hard done by' stint seems to be over. Raring to go again chicks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not planning on huge overpayments on The Biggy (19k on Barclays) - it's just too huge to get my tiny mind round right now.
We're putting all our efforts into saving for our first family holiday next year. Once that's out the way we should have plenty left over to start putting towards a lump sum deal with them. The way I see it - it's on 0%, thus it would be better if we put it in our own savings account, where it would at least attract a touch of interest. In the meantime, the lump sum they'll accept will go down as the balance reduces, the savings will go up and eventually the 2 will meet in the middle. Not rabid moneysaving, but I'm not stopping my family enjoying occasional treats because of my debt.
I'm also planning on starting to be a regular on the Competitions board - the aim being to at least to win this years Xmas pressies. Ideally, prizes would include a house in Florida, enough cash to retire on and David Tennant as my pool boy. Uniform will be a thong.....mmm...
So, everyone else over their January Blues? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Afternoon my chickies,
Today is a cold horrible day, and I have not even managed 24 hours without my tumbly. Stuff I put on the maiden 2 days ago STILL isn't dry, so it's had to have half an hour. I've managed to limit tea to only 9 cups so far, doing well. Last night I managed a 300 page paperback before falling asleep at 3.30am - so the caffiene has to go. I used to suffer badly with insommnia, and having 2 bouts in a week is worrying. Don't really want to go back to 6 nights out of 7 just lying there watching the numbers tick round. 2am is the loneliest time in the world.
So today I have the Little Man at home, so not much going on work-wise. Impossible with a small boy hanging onto your trousers and making 'yum yum' noises. He's having a nap right now, hence sneaking on. But today I have transferred any money left in the acount to the ISA before tax credits tomorrow.
Had an email from a lad regarding the large amount of [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]horrible plastic army men [/STRIKE] vintage 80's action toys The Freak From The Far Reaches Of Moron left me with. He's interested in the boxed stuff, but have told him it's all or nowt. Trouble is, I lost all the pictures I painstakingly took when the virus ate my harddrive. Sigh. Up in the loft again, more pictures to take. Hope the guy takes it after all this. Still, it's a start on the Loft Of Doom. A box a week we told ourselves. It's just getting round to it. Starting next week. Yes. Definately.
So all in all things are looking up. Got a voucher for a free tub of Lurpak spreadable and this week looks like a cheap one by the shopping list, so extra money there.
Todays Tip: Have a look in your own loft. Chances are you haven't been up a while - there maybe a hoard of Ebay fodder with your credit-card's balance written all over it. Get it out, and get it sold. It doesn't pay rent, and bags of clothes you'll 'slim into' don't count as insulation. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hi Obi, as you may have gathered i am an insomniac as well. Some of it is forced (through Mr.b snoring) and some of it is a habit now..years of it.
I cut down to 5 cups of tea, really hard as i am a teaaholic and try not to have any at all after 5pm, some days i just drink herbal.
When i sleep i sleep really well and find being on my own at night helps as i am not listening out for snoring, getting annoyed at twitching and i like a dark room. So sympathies and passes over *herbal* nightol..which is quite good and sometimes the odd glass of vino helps..but then the cursed bladder of old age will wake me..lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Obi have you thought about decaff tea
Personally I'm just jealous because drinking tea gives me migraines... I have maybe 1 cup a fortnight as migraines are soooo bad and I would rather do without tea than have them back again!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
