selling your stuff on Amazon - part 5

I found a box a books in the loft last night. They smell a bit musty but they're not mouldy, and most are in good nick. Has anyone sold any like this?
Is there an easy way to make them less smelly?0 -
Hi Jazzy, I haven't tried it myself but in previous threads some posters have used tumble dryer sheets to take away the smell, I can't remember if they put them in the pages or just put the books and sheet in a plastic bag together and waited0

..... or pop them inside a fragranced nappy sack if they are smaller books. You can get 300 sacks for 99p in the cheaper shops, just make sure they are the smelly type.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

... other suggestions I've heard are:
1) using Neutradol sprayed from a couple of feet away (but sounds risky to me)
2) or being placed in a box with some solid Neutradol (I've had trouble buying this)
3) or placed in a box with some odourising cat litter (I'm trialling this method at the moment with a very smokey book).AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0077 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board.0 -

Thanks, by the time my kids gave me enough peace the phonelines were closed so I sent an email (otherwise I'd hav to rely on my Mummy-brain to remember to phone on Monday).
And I'll be starting to use the envelopes as I have my latest ebay sales to go and got another SDN this morning!:jAMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0022 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the Ebay and other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board0 -

You just reminded me of something I tried. An old lady I know gave me a pair of never worn shoes to put on ebay. She is a really heavy smoker. They stunk so I put them in a plassy bag with lots of bicarbonate of soda. Left them about a couple of months and then opened the bag. Guess what? They still stank!!!:rolleyes:Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I received a book this morning from an amazon seller where they had not erased the 50p pencil mark from the charity shop! Maybe they thought as the book was so cheap, they did not need to, or just omitted to. Still shows we are not all perfect!
Funnily enough I purchased another really cheap book about 50p and it was a heavy one. The seller sent it first class, in a fab white good quality doubled over jiffy bag. I was able to reuse some of it. He can't have made any profit really.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

FFM the hint about the neutradol (solid gel) is a good one. Also I just bought a nice lily of the valley gel for toilets ( I dont mean in the toilet ones!) etc, that could be worth trying too.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

FFM Welcome! It is so good to have a new-to-MSE here being so open and helpful with Amazon. Those on the forum over at Amazon can be so secretive and competative.
With such a large stock, how do you keep track of all your books? I have able 500 listed and the worst thing is trying to find them after i sold them.0
