Thanks FunkyM, there is no thanks button on your post. I think I am going to put a box of books that are no good for Amazon into the loft and decide at a later date what I will do with them.
Do any of you have eBay shops? They seem worth it if you have alot of items for BIN.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
With regard to the SKU only being available to the pro merchants - non PM sellers can refernce where they've stored a book by putting it in the description at the end such as 'ref b1' (box 1) or 'ref 12/5' (the date you listed it - useful if you fill a box / shelf as you go rather than categorise them). The customer isn't going to care what you've put at the end of the description and when you get your sold email you can click the link on it to see your description and your ref.0

I have an ebay shop (my normal ebay sales are small antiques and china) and I have a few books in amongst them - in theory it's a very good idea what with the 3p per month listing fees etc but I find listing a book on ebay to be such a pain in comparison to amazon so I haven't got many in there - if there is a choice between spending an hour listing china or listing books the china wins every time.
When the ebay summer slump kicks in and I have less ebay sales to wrap and pack I might get around to putting a few more in there0 -
This may sound a stupid question but here goes.....I have a number of specialised architectural books that belong to my father, they had been stored in his studio and although they are in good condition they have a slight musty, old smell about them. If selling them on Amazon should I mention this in the listing? Should I even consider selling them on Amazon as they are not perfect?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.0 -
Hi Tibbie's mum, firstly check them out on amazon to see what they are going for, then if it's worth your bother have a go at some of the suggestions in answer to post 84 and see if that's any help, if those treatments don't work then you'd have to mention it and hope that it's not too off putting0

Anyone else have a dead week for sales like me? Mind you, not complaining too much, as I had the week off to do decorating and running to and from the PO can be a pain.
However, (whinge, whine) can I please have some sales next week?Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I have asked this question before but only got one answer, so I'd be interested in hearing further from all you other Well Seasoned Amazonians....on average, how many books do you have listed and how many sales a week do you have? As a newbie I'm trying to pick everybody's brain to make up for my lacking one!!!!!
Many thanks.0 -
