The Halifax Easy Cash Visa Electron is UGLY! Just got mine through and it's a horrible green.

Still, it is an Electron Card though.

Do they not let you design your own? If your that bothered, quite a few banks charge £5 and let you put a picture or w/e on your card!
  • i'm SURE my A & L card was Visa electron.... have memories of buying a Jet2 flight with it

yet I just arrogantly tried to book a ryanair flight for 2p, pulled the card out and it actually says ''visa debit'' on it

i must be losing my mind

The answer to all our Visa Electron queries has been answered by a helpful chap who has set up a dedicated website e.g. listing all banks that do and don't give them out, plus pre-pay cards (he called 42 banks to check!).

    visa-electron.co.uk (no "www.")

Travel money card is now available from the post office... clearly shows a visa electron card, apparently you can have 3 one for sterling, one for euros, and one for us dollars....

not had a straight answer from staff at the local post office on this ... can i pay ryanair with it..

pay £50 to open it, max load is £5000
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

    Two points -

Co-Operative bank agreed with VISA that their existing set of VISA Electron card numbers would in future appear on VISA's sytems as full VISA cards, so it's a change up at VISA not the Co-Operative, and takes effect even without a new card.

This was however NOT forced upon Co-Operative by VISA, it was a commercial decision made by Co-Operative Bank.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - Halifax Easycash accounts come with a VISA ELECTRON card still :D

Hi, i have a PO travel money card, i have paid for ryanair flights for Dublin and Berlin using it, without fees from Ryanair:j
but i think in the t & c it states its not set up for this kind of use, but it worked for me. Its a free card quick and easy to use, so i have found, and can be topped up by phone or by visiting the PO, so now i have used my £50 up i'm off off to top it up, so i can book some more flights:T
