so its abbey, co-op, halifax are now the only issuers of visa electron.0

Just called NatWest. Unfortunately they no longer do the prepaid Electron 'Gift cards' mentioned in a previous post. Also, they don't do Electron Cards connected to bank accounts. Neither do Barclays. I'm now off to try Halifax/Coop.
Barclays still issue Visa Electron gift cards for £3 fee.
If you want a Visa Electron on an account, I would suggest you look into it sooner, rather than later.
It looks like Co-op are changing their terms and conditions(on their basic account) to include Visa Debit, and if HBOS joins up with Lloyds TSB, then I suspect they will do the same as Lloyds TSB issue Visa Debit on their basic account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Can i please get something clarified.
I don't have a visa electron card but my student daughter does.
Could i use her card to book my flights even though she will not be travelling with us, would that create a problem at all??0 -
Doubt it. I used my card to book a flight for my freind as a birthday present0

The card owner must be at the same address as the lead passenger as far as I can remember when filling in the Ryanair online form.0

I read this somewhere, do you think it may happen in the future or very soon?
Next month, the terms and conditions are changing.
Don't know about the cards themselves, obviously if you've already got one, it would only change on expiry or if you lose it etcThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
