Where to get a VISA Electron card?

paddytt when paying for ryanair flights did you use 1 electron card for 2/3 people or does each passenger need electron card

You just need one electron card for the whole booking, no matter how many people are travelling.

I have a visa electron card with a foreign bank account (Banco Halifax Hispania) I keep money in that account for bills I have for a property. The funds are in euros. If I use that card to buy a ticket would Ryan air accept it as the price I am quoted is sterling, will they hit me with currency conversion cost?

we are looking to book something soon. can someone who is not travelling pay for the tickets? i.e. if I get brother to pay for the tickets as he has an electron still.???

Try Abbey, thats the standard card there, as they only either offer Visa Electron or Visa to my knowledge

Yes, that's not a problem.

Have just applied on the phone for the Co-op Cashminder account (took about 5 minutes.)

Reason I chose them is because of their banking ethics and the fact you can also withdraw/deposit money/cheques at any Post Office.

This is the run down of what I paid this week for two return flights to Ireland,

Flights £45.96 (Pretty good for what amounts to four tickets - the returns were about £5 each)

Taxes, fees and charges £100.90
Check in fees £16.00
Bags £32.00
Credit card fee £16.00

Even if you pay by Electron, and don't take a suitcase, the airport taxes usually bump it up.

The only way to cut down on airport taxes is to find a special offer fare where the flight price includes taxes and charges - the special offer fares can be £15, £10, £5, £1 or even £0.01. To find these fares you have to take advantage of one of the Ryanair sales, and be pretty flexible about when you fly - they tend to be more common on unpopular days like Mondays and Wednesdays.

Obviously if you don't take cabin baggage and check in online you will save on those costs.

Don't take bags so you don't need to check in. The more weight a plane has the more fuel it uses. It will be cheaper and less hassle for you and better for the envirmonment. Hard with small kids though with all the paraphernalia you have to take. So no bags and no kids!! (only joking about the latter before someone bites my head off)
