i will never order on line from asda again and would advise anyone against doing so.
Order due on a monday, didn't turn up, driver went to wrong house. Reaarreanged for tues and store changed it to wed, without telling me.
it took me over a week and many frustrating phone calls to get any acknowledgement of bad service.
The issue in the end was not the driver going to the wrong house but the non existent customer service, people saying thay would phone me and didn't (at least 5 times).
Do not use asda, i will stick to reliable mr T in future.

My Asda deliveries are always on time and extremely reliable whereas Tesco were dreadful !! Always substitutions and always late so I have to disagree...... Never order from Mr T and stick with Asda :j

I've never used them but are you serious that you were that peeved over a delivery being 20 minutes late? I don't know what time span you're given for a delivery but 20 minutes is hardly worth worrying about in the grand scheme of things.

No, I wasn't peeved at all that they were late, I asked about the voucher because (at the time, don't know if its still the case) Sainsburys had been a tiny bit late a couple of times and given me a £10 voucher without being asked. My annoyance was at the attitude of the driver, who could have just responded to my polite smiley request with a polite smiley no, but was uneccessarily rude. I didn't demand a voucher or complain about the lateness I just asked him a question.

Why on earth should they give you a voucher for being 20 mins late? If thats the case then my postman came late today and I was waiting in for a delivery from him so am I entitled to a free stamp!

No, but if another company offered exactly the same service as the post office and gave out free stamps when they were late you wouldn't be out of order if you politely asked your postman if you were entitled to one :)

As I was updating my last thread somebody moved my post to this forum. My update on the problem at Tesco has gone somewhere - whoever moved my first post might like to move that as well.

Update - can't find my follow up post anywhere and my post on the security glitch is now well hidden in a thread that hardly anyone will notice. Am not typing it all out again.

If someone moves a post would it not be a good idea to insert the name of a moderator who moved it?

Here here! i just clicked on your "thread" which has now been moved to a post in another thread. i was actually quite interested to read it but cant find it now. I love MSE, and the people who run this site do a fantasic job, but it would be nice to be directed to where the post has been moved to! if i find it before you, i shall bump it and let you know! :)

Hi all, wondering if you can help me, I work full time and find it really difficult to fit in the shopping, is it worth doing a monthly shop and then just topping up with fresh stuff weekly, if so should i shop online?
    Thanks xx

This is what i do, i spend approx £80 a month on a big online shop buying things like cleaning stuff, toiletries, non perishables, meat for the freezer etc. Then i budget approx £20 a weeks for milk, bread, fruit, veg, yoghurts etc. This works best for us x

I find I save more buying online, I can look at the offers all together, and then search for the additional items i need, plus I dont have to worry about a backache from pushing a wonky trolley, bonus that bring it in to the kitchen for me. and I can shop any time, day or night.

With no filling up the trolley with impulse buys of carp you don't really need shopping online is a winner. Plus, it takes less time to order than getting to the supermarket, walking around the store, packing it and then schlepping it all home and you can have a cuppa while you're doing it. What's not to like?

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
