your title says asda direct but your comments say groceries?

I have had an Asda direct order cancelled for no reason before but at least I didnt stay in for it as its just normal royal mail delivery.

I would be fuming aswell though if it was a grocery order !

How annoying. You might find there was a problem with your payment card, that happened to me before with Tesco but they did call and let me know.

I've only used Asda for a grocery delivery once, they arrived about 20 minutes late so I politely asked if I would get a voucher for a discount off my next shop. The man practically laughed in my face then went off and had a conversation with his mate about how "she wants a bldy voucher, some people have got nothing better to do" I did call the helpline to complain but other than getting a chance to let off steam at some poor person who didn't deserve it I got nowhere. Haven't used them since (think this was about 4 years ago, I bear a grudge...)

I've never used them but are you serious that you were that peeved over a delivery being 20 minutes late? I don't know what time span you're given for a delivery but 20 minutes is hardly worth worrying about in the grand scheme of things.

OP I do hope that you've sorted it out that must be really frustrating, to have an order cancelled with no message why.

I couldnt agree with you more regarding the 20 mins late ! Traffic and people slowing down the drivers by insisting on opening all their bags before they go.
Why on earth should they give you a voucher for being 20 mins late? If thats the case then my postman came late today and I was waiting in for a delivery from him so am I entitled to a free stamp!

Had same thing yesterday, waited for my groceries but nothing arrived. Was not very pleased as I just been released from hospital had no food in the house and 2 toddlers. I rang them and apparently the driver turned up but no one opened the door.Well I know this was a blatant lie as I was in all day cause I'm housebound for now. Anyway then was told I would have to reorder the whole lot for the next day. I emailed customer service and complained and they put a 20quid evoucher on my account which I'm really pleased about. I did reorder and it turned up today. The driver told me they had trouble finding my road as sat nav didn't recognise the postcode. Bet that happened yesterday too but the driver couldn't be bothered to ask somebody or call me for directions.Whats the point of leaving a contact no?
  • Can a supermarket charge you more for an item than you actually wanted too?

Basically used asda online shopping this week as wanted to avoid loads of people over the Easter weekend and my local supermarket.

So as with online shopping you can see what you're spending straight away. So final total came up, happy and obviously confirmed order.

Checked online banking and was miffied why shopping was more than my order email i had from them.

So cross checked everything and found they had put 1kg of steak on my order, when OH had put 0.4kg worth in the shopping cart.

Now it wasn't much difference, ended up paying at extra 92p and whilst i know its only 92p im just quite surprised how or why they ignored what we'd ordered and decided to put 1kg of it on our shopping and then not actually say anything when they delivered the order.

You just call the helpline and they refund the difference straight back into your bank.
They havent ignored what you asked for, 1 kilo would be all they had but unfortunately the computer doesnt price match because it doesnt think it is a substitution. Asda are aware of this problem but for the time being you just need to keep checking your prices when the shopping arrives and give them a call.

Have just logged into my account to do an online shop with Tesco grocery site and noticed I have been transferred to the newer site.

Checked my clubcard points and they seemed too high.

Checked my previous orders which didn't match. My name details are correct, however I can see all of the account details of a person in Hemel Hempstead.

It will also allow me to change the password. Am ringing Tesco now!!!

As I was updating my last thread somebody moved my post to this forum. My update on the problem at Tesco has gone somewhere - whoever moved my first post might like to move that as well.

Update - can't find my follow up post anywhere and my post on the security glitch is now well hidden in a thread that hardly anyone will notice. Am not typing it all out again.

If someone moves a post would it not be a good idea to insert the name of a moderator who moved it?

i will never order on line from asda again and would advise anyone against doing so.
Order due on a monday, didn't turn up, driver went to wrong house. Reaarreanged for tues and store changed it to wed, without telling me.
it took me over a week and many frustrating phone calls to get any acknowledgement of bad service.
The issue in the end was not the driver going to the wrong house but the non existent customer service, people saying thay would phone me and didn't (at least 5 times).
Do not use asda, i will stick to reliable mr T in future.
