  • HI, looking into the many vendors, I've discovered a company called park-tickets.com which offer pretty good rates.

Does anyone have any comments on them?

    FH Brit,

Thanks for the parking tips! I've just got a question..I went to Florida last year and stayed at AKL for 2 weeks with a 14 day ultimate ticket and DDP. I'm sure we didn't pay for parking because we were staying on site.

Can you confirm if I would be needing to pay for parking this year, or has something changed?

If not - I'll certainly consider trying the Grand Floridian route!

    Appreciate your advice.

Lex - Deffinately with the Ultimate the parking is still included - not sure why you would want free car parking if you are staying on site. All WDW hotels are already served by the WDW Transport, by the time you took your own car to the park of chosing, you could have gone direct from your hotel to the park by WDW Transport!

  • After following the link from Martin Lewis’s website I decided to purchase 4 Orlando Flex tickets from Theme Park Ticket Direct in June 2010 for our holiday to Florida.

As I am an organised person I allowed a month before travel expecting the tickets to be dispatched immediately as my credit card was debited at the time with £644.
How wrong was I? After 2 emails (the 2nd being ignored) and 3 lengthy phone calls I have been told the tickets are being dispatched on 14th July from Belfast. As I work full time I won't be able to collect them from the Post Office until Friday - 1 day before we go to Gatwick!

I have been so stressed that I will not receive my tickets in time and have phoned another UK company who could assure me they could dispatch within 24hrs if I needed more and when they asked who I'd bought from told me they had also had lots of bad reports about this company.

The customer care staff agreed that to have tickets dispatched so close to departure is unacceptable for customers but could do nothing about it.
I advise people not to use the company and will certainly tell friends and family to avoid the stress and go elsewhere even if they pay more.

At the very least, the site should state that people won’t get their tickets until they depart and if their travel plans change ‘tough luck’ they won’t have their tickets in time!

No other ticket company dispatches so late and they have the money upfront I see no reason why they should do so, it’s not fair to customers.

Thanks - maybe I should reconsider the need for car hire - would certainly save a few hundred pounds.

We tend to find a car more handy so that when the little lex's come out of the parks and are exhausted, they fall asleep in the comfort of their own car seats and grab a quick nap. If we want them to stay asleep for a bit, we can always go for a quick drive - see the area etc, before heading back to the hotel.

Prefer to have a car generally, so that we can just choose to go shopping, or pop to Walmart for bottles of water, or generally get out and about and see the sights without worrying about times of buses, tired children or whether the buggy will fit on the bus etc.

Thanks for the confirmation - appreciate the reply.

Lex - Bear in mind too, to save a few quid, you could not have a car foir the full time of your stay and just rent for a day or two here and there. Both Enterprise and Budget (and probably others) will pick you up before and drop you off after your rental. It means alittle more planning but you could save paying for an idle car while in the parks!

    Just a thought!

  • Hi
Has anybody bought tickets from this website:

    magicaltickets.co.uk
  • Dont buy from Theme Park Tickets Direct, I ordered my Disney Tickets in May 2010 for them to ring me yesterday ( a week before travel!!) to say Disney hadnt sent them the tickets in time, and so they were cancelling my order. Customer Service was poor, took ages to get through on the phone and they take a long time to reply to emails - in the end I went back to American Attractions who Ive used before who are really good.

I have been told by a friend that you can get disneyland tickets for 1,2, or 3 days at the gates they are a bit pricey about £55 a time but it saves having to pay a wedge. as far as the other sites are there was a deal on attraction tickets direct, not sure if its still on three parks for the price of two.seaworld, busch gardens and aquatica were £72 pounds each.
