  • Still a little upset about the family situation, just going to leave everyone to it now...
    Work later :T (sarcasm) haha

Just bought 8 gift boxes off eBay for £9.23 including P&P, I don't think that's too bad!
All in different sizes etc as well, so means I've got lots of choice, will need to buy some more but at least that this will get me started with packaging up Christmas presents, I can start small with OHs sister and my sister (most of the stuff I already have is girly and will go perfectly) and I was 14 and 16 only 3 and 5 years ago so I know what kind of thing they'll want.
Then I'll tackle Dad and Stepmum and Mum and Stepdad's...

    I'm excited now!
To the shops tomorrow to find small presents to fill the boxes with haha!

  • Hey Em, glad I helped you :D, thanks for checking in!

Well thought I'd do a quick update, I'm at work now, the boyfriend wants to take me for pizza later but I thought I'd save my diet and his pennies (even though its cheap and we have it without cheese for health reasons), so I've asked him if he'll make me something... not holding out much hope though :rotfl:.

Still a little down about the family situation, but I've got 2 bids on eBay now (bringing my current grand total to £2.98:confused:)
Still better than nothing though I guess.
Hoping for a semi-early night tonight, as tomorrow I have college first thing at 9am, followed by picking my friend up, followed by xmas shopping in town (which I actually can't wait for!) followed by work later that night...sigh....

Saturday night I'm babysitting though which will give me an extra £20. :j

And I'm going to ask my boyfriend tonight again about the £100, but I'm not holding out much hope ... he's doing my head in about it now, I need the money, not empty promises!

Anyways I'd best be off! xxx

Hi Zar, eek not a good day! Hope you get your family probs sorted out soon :)

You could see if he would at least give you what he would've spent on the pizza if you've not already gone for it, then do it the next time, and the next :D He'll be saving pennies, paying you back bit by bit and not noticing it and you'll still be cutting back on the take-aways/junk/fast food etc

Did you manage to get your forms off? :)

  • Hahaa that would not work with my boyfriend, he's lovely honestly, and not tight (he bought me a ring for £250 when we went on holiday!) he's just old fashioned, and it'd be a bit... insulting to him if I asked him to pay me back bit by bit, I really really really need this money though!
But whenever I ask him for it, he whinges at me for 'hounding' him!

I also came into a bit of good luck today, which may provide me with more money soon... I'll update on this at a later point!

Also, no, I didn't post the forms  I took them out, and had them in my handbag all bloody day, and still forgot to post them *slaps forehead* I'm such an idiot at times!
It's okay though, I will post them tomorrow 'cos I'm gonna get my boyfriend to text me to remind me!!

Hahah, anyways, eBay update, put a new item up, which should fetch around £80ish? Perhaps more?!

So just waiting for the bids to roll in, currently got a couple of bids and watchers dotted about!

Going to go on dooyoo soon since I've done no reviews today!

    Speak soon!

  • So today has been better, not spent anything, and wrote a dooyoo review on my break at college to try and get me to that magical £50 threshold!
Going into town to post my ALG forms and meet my grandma for lunch (if she offers to buy me lunch :rotfl:) I fully intend to show all of my family how much I love and appreciate them this xmas with thoughtful and suitable gifts, and also when I'm eventually a rich solicitor (Yes I will be getting out of debt next year, only to have student loans, but at least I found the best place to help me budget!).

Anyways, 2 watchers on expensive item on eBay :T
Now just waiting for the bids to roll in, one item ends tonight, 6 items end tomorrow night, and expensive item ends the night after!

Babysitting Saturday so that'll give me £20!

    Good times xxx

  • Hey guys, had a good day so far!
Met granny in town and she was fine with me- it's all my stepmum who is angry...
She bought me a new pair of shoes! :j (She's pretty loaded, I asked her if she was sure, she said yes so )
She doesn't know the extent of my debt but she knows theres something bad happening to me money-wise.
I purchased some jiffy bags to send ebay things out as well while I was there, and got student discount on my out of date student card ;)

Sent of the ALG forms at last :j:beer::T:rotfl::A

So woot woot woot, now it's time to sit back and let the cash roll in!

eBay is looking promising also, I'll update tonight after work!

Hey Zar. I just wanted to say it's only bad if you're not dealing with it. And you are, in a very admirable fashion. :)
