Just called in to say don't worry about the P60, DD1 was in exactly the same position as you last year at least she swore she had never had a P60 but it turned up safely 6 months later. The agency said they couldn't send out a copy but sent a statement of earnings & tax instead which the ALG people accepted.
It took about a month for the money to come through but it might be quicker at this time of year when the rush is off.

Morning! Glad you got out, when other people are there it tends to take your mind off things :) I still can't get used to being designated driver though, it's so strange :o but waking up without a hangover the next morning is blooming brilliant :D Hope you're feeling better today.

Heya Zar! Nice to meet u! _party_! I'm Tink and Im about the same age as you and i really like your diary its really nice and easy to read!
I think you need to nag on at your boyfriend, it really isnt on for him to be paying you 'tokens' and for you to be paying bank charges and interest on your OD and other debt. He should pay you this, yeah ok maybe in installments, but he should be making that a high priority!

well done on getting the grant btw! I recently heard I was getting some money from winning a prize at uni but ive just spent it all on a ski holiday (before I actually get the cheque but hey!)

Ooo yeah and pm me your dooyoo name?

Also do u use bingoport? its a great way to get amazon vouchers - I'm saving all of mine on my account for christmas presents, me and the boy get about £5 each every week so its pretty good for just like 5 mins a day? if you want any more info or anything let me know?!

    :D Tink xx
  • Thanks Helen :)

And yeah DBG, Feel loads better thanks :)

Cheers for the advice Tink ;), I'll check out bingo port!

So today was okay, me and my friend made low budget spagbol, and we each have a cheapo bottle of wine so good times :).

Cancelled my loan protection so I have an extra £11.73 this month, can't believe I put that much money into a protection thing that only protects me if I get made redundant, not sacked.

The boyfriend has promised me £100 next week, but I'm dubious, don't get me wrong, I love and trust him, and I know he'd never try and scam me out of money, but we work together, and I know he's just as skint as me (he also has small debts, £100 on a CC and £500 over draft), I know he'll pay me back eventually, its just when....

My statement of earnings came in the post today too, which means I can send my ALG forms off as quick as possible, and Helen, thats what I was thinking, perhaps it'll be slightly quicker if its not in busy season for ALG. I hope so anyway!

Been looking and drooling at clothes for the work Christmas party, going to try and earn as much extra as humanly possible between now and then to see if I can throw myself a cheapo outfit together? it will be Christmas after all?
It could be a present to myself?

Anyway see you later guys thanks for checking in!

  • So the boyfriend might be losing his job, for reasons I really can't be bothered to go into now...
He's doing my head in a bit with all this money business, he doesn't understand we really need to save as much as humanly possible.

I'm going on a mega ebay mission tonight when I get to his house to try and claw some money in, made about £11 last week, but 2 people haven't paid up yet.

Busy week this week, probably won't get a day to chill out until next tuesday, anyway best go, I'm at work!

oh no!! I hope your boyfriend is ok :( and you obv!!
that grant sounds excellent :) good luck with ebay too! you sound so positive and motivated im jealous!
What you up to today/this weekend? I've just cleaned my very dirty car and I went out thurs and fri (but did it on the cheap :) ) but I now have zero money and a whooole lot of work to do!!
  • Haha thanks Tink, I'll keep this diary updated so you know whats cracking off, I'll put more detail in whilst I'm not at work!

Basically, I work all weekend every weekend, to try and bring in some extra pennies, I've also managed to secure 3 hours extra work a week recently so my December paycheque should hopefully feel the happiness! (Fingers crossed)

I know, its really hard to stay motivated when I just want to chill the hell out, and ebay stuff doesn't sell for much but its worth doing.

My dooyoo account keeps me hopeful, as if I can hit that £50 by next week I should get my Cheque in time for Christmas, might set myself a mini-goal to hit £50 on dooyoo by next Monday?

Going to finish my application form for ALG tonight as well so I should get that within a month (hopefully just before Christmas!!).

    Thanks for checking in :)

    Hi,

Just wanted to pop in and say Hello. Realy sorry to hearabout your bfs job, hope things get better for you both soon.

That is also great about the grant money that will help you out loads.

I am a couple of years older than you and just finishing paying off my student overdraft. I have paid most of it off with extra money earnt from surveys etc, so is a good idea to do some extra money making things.

    Anyway will check back soon!
