Hi Zar!
Just popping in quickly to say hello  and well done so far! We seem to be in kind of the same position, not a massive income and debt that needs to be gone so that we can move out
Maybe if we keep each other going our motivation will keep upThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Hi Zarzar :hello:
Just found your diary. Sounds like you'll be debt free in no time!
Have you tried Payment a Day? It's very addictive - not to mention friendlyand helps keep the focus.
Well done so far :T0 -
Yeahh I agree DBG!
Same position, I'm guessing a similar-ish age? Not that that matters obviously!
Well, I've been on these boards all night, reading round and messing about, I can't help but keep glancing to check whether I've got my second star yet. (Money saving Stalwart!) I'm a bit obsessed hahaha.
Got some stuff on ebay with less than an hour to go, and some stuff with a day left to go.
Sunglasses currently at £5.40 and DVD at 0.99p
Oh well, every little helps!
Also got someone 'watching' a belt that ends tomorrow!
Wish I had some high value items to ebay, but I'm running a bit dry!
Hoping that HR actually send me a duplicate of my P60, and PRAYING TO THE MONEY GODS that I get allowed this grant!
Wish me luck people, I'm off to obsessively check ebay!

But I also go to college full time, my shifts at current job are quite unpredictable (as in when they'll be), they have to give me a min. of 15 hours P/W, but it can be up to 25 during college time up to 45 during peak times, like christmas season.
But thanks for stopping by anyway

Ah, OK. I figured there must be a good reason and there is. But, you know, always best to check.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

So I have my meeting in half an hour with the student finance team, to see if I can get me some free moneys!
Hopefully eh? Everyone send good vibes/karma and pray to the money Gods for me!
Speaking of which I might play the Euromillions tonight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Only spent money on essentials today, one apple, a drink, low fat snacks for work (so I don't spend £4 Sat&Sun on KFC or McDonalds, MSE and WWE...weightwatchers expert :rotfl:) and some 'girly things'
Think I'm addicted to this website like the sad old lady I am... at the age of 19.
Oh well, at least I'll be moving out next year, if I manage to stay a MSE!
Will update when I find out about this grant!

So the meeting went really well!
I'm entitled to both the grant and the ALG, which means £1500 divided over so many monthly payments, plus £30 per week ALG! (If I attend all college lessons).
This is obviously fantastic news debtwise, as it means I can get Next account and Alliance and Leicester over draft cleared A.S.A.P and then, start reducing my over draft by £50 per month, then if I have a good month, another £100 etc, etc...
The loan is obviously taking care of itself on the first of every month, and if I get any spare cash I can make some over payments, and then its time to save up to move out!
I might even get a backlog from ALG from when I started the course!
That would be... quite a lot of money!
Anyways ebay items sold for a stupidly small amount  but I haven't received payment for some of them yet so I might be able to put some items back up hopefully!

I really really really need some words of encouragement right now.
I just got paid this Thursday gone, and I budgeted all of my money perfectly, put diesel, friends bday, and loan money to one side, so thats all sorted.
Then I had £100 exactly to live off for the next month, for groceries, and paying some more money off my Next and to get some xmas presents.
I just got a letter off Alliance and Leicester saying I was £3 over my agreed overdraft limit and to contact them to stop them taking any further action.
The robbing b****** charged me £50, so when I rang up today, I was £303 overdrawn!
I quickly rang Lloyds and got them to transfer £60 over into that account, to tide me over until next payday, but I am livid.
I now have £40 to live off, thats not going to get me many Christmas presents and pay for food is it? And as for next, well thats going to be put on hold for a while!
Why just when things are looking up do I get this?
Its horribly depressing...Personal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j

That's fab news re the grant and ALG - don't worry too much about the overdraft situation , just think of how much better off you'll be once they get the grant & alg set up
As for Christmas presents, there's stilll plenty of time for that, maybe work on getting your boxes all wrapped up neatly instead of hunting for stuff to fill it until you've got a bit more of a cushion, or have a big clear out to see if there's anything you don't need that you can flog on ebay on Sunday, if they don't sell no fees to worry about
Don't panic - just think of the grant :beer:The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time
