  • congrats Hassle

saw doc yesterday and he just checked family history and gave me pregnancy pack for midwife and said midwife will contact me to see me when I am 9-12wks (currently 6wks) so due date is 3rd sept going by the dates we have but have to wait for scan at 13-14wks which is dating scan.
  • garetfulforhelp- baby aspirin is low-dose aspirin, like people take to go on planes to stop DVTs. I read in a few places that its supposed to help, but all it did was give me *a lot* of nosebleeds..

Glad you have stopped taking it, a little known side effect of aspirin is to cause miscarriage in very early pregnancy.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    Hi All,

I have been reading through some of the posts, and I am sorry I appear to of offended some of you for talking about my new pregnancy here, I will no longer post anything about my pregnancy / issues on here, apolgise for those it has upset.

I had been here since June so not quite a new person, the reason for staying is although my pregnancy is so young I am having lots of problems and with the hospital adamant it will not be viable I felt more comfortable discussing my concerns on here rather than with those who are about to give birth...many of you, sadly, have been what I am going through and are able to help. I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant and already about to have my 3rd scan !! tomorrow and am getting prepared for bad news.

But again sorry to anyone who it upset.

I wish all you ladies lots and lots of luck.

ordinary 300mg asprin. Some research has been done on baby asprin (75mg) and it has helped some people with clotting disorders prevent miscarriage.

I should add but you shouldnt take it unless advised by a doctor obviously

Penny I think everyone is wishing you all the best for your scan tomorrow, I know it is most likely bad news but I have my fingers crossed for you its not.

    Penny,

Please, please, please don't feel as though you have offended us or can't post here.

It is really awkward to ask those who are pg to reduce the posting whilst managing not to make people who can really benefit from doing so feel unwelcome.

You have clearly been going through an incredibly difficult time and I hope we have been able to help and support you a little - it would be awful for you to feel unwelcome here.

The only problem is when the board starts to become all about early pregnancy rather than the trying bit. Its a sensitive issue but I hope you can understand.

I'm sure not one of us here is at all jealous of your position, however I also don't want to give the impression that you're only allowed to post if you are having a bad time.

Perhaps the key is for those who are pg and everything is going great, please let us know so we can happy for you, but don't post too much as we don't want to have to start battling the green eyed monster in all of us.
Proud to be a moneysaver!

All I've seen on here is people sending you good wishes:confused: Maybe I'm a bit slow and not with it:o

I do understand that some ladies get annoyed with newly PG ladies who come on here after a quickie conception who go on and on about their pregnancy and things related to it... this is a TTC thread after all. I think it's ok for those who are having mc related symptoms to be on here to talk about it as mc seems to be part of the TTC process for a lot of us:(

We all obviously hope ladies don't mc and share their joy with us when they get good news.... then move on to the pregnancy thread (for pregnant ladies with little bumps and big bumps alike) where we shall lurk if we feel up to it;)

Had to go into work today to be a glorified babysitter!!! Grrr... I'd say biggest class had 40% of students in...the worst had only 20%. So I couldn't teach anything...grr...

    Hassle CONGRATS hon!!! :j

I've had funny pains in the side of my tummy all day....was getting a little excited if I'm honest. But on my way home...lets just say I lost some pressure (trump) and erm...the pain stopped!! :rotfl: I'm quite excited for this cycle to be over though because I really want to use my CBFM!

It's been lovely reading back though today and seeing so many old faces (not that I'm calling you ladies old). As for the newbies, I'm always here for a chat...but I'm rubbish with ttc advice. I only use MMC and soon my CBFM! I'm a bit half hearted about it all because I'm not sure whether I'm coming or going!! But then that just sums me up! :rotfl:

  • Penny-don't be silly! We're all wishing you well with your scans and are on tenterhooks to know if your bean is really the fighter it appears to be!

I think maddieand smartie put it best. You have really been through the mill (as have plenty others on here) and if you need support there are plenty of kind ladies here to give it.

Everyone is welcome here, I think it just gets a bit sensitive if it all becomes early pg chat, this is thread full of hormonal ladies, we all need to take a step back once in a while and breathe out and see if we took things the way they were intended. We all read stuff differently :)
