  • Hello Ladies

I was hoping I could join this lovely board as I am trying for a bubba with my new husband.
I have only recently come off my contraceptive injection so I'm just waiting for my periods to come back then I can really try properly (not sure of the science bit). I have my folic acid and I am good to go!!
How is everyone else getting on?

    K xx

Lauraloo so sorry you've had another little hope diminished, I thought your GP was supposed to check you out if you've had 3+ mcs. When you're feeling up to it do see if there's anything they can do for you.

I got a tiny, tiny pink line on my opk today - it's not what they say it should be on the packet, but I've never had even a hint of a line before so its a bit of excitment for us - CD12 so getting jiggy tonight with a lot more enthusiasm that of late.
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.

Lauralou, just wanted to pop in and say bl**dy awful news and you are allowed to feel crap/angry/devasted and everything between. Life can be a right b!tch at times and sometimes we wonder what on earth we have done wrong in our lives to deserve it.

BUT, and it is a *little* bit of comfort to know when when you hit the magic 3 MCs, medically everybody seems to sit up and take notice, it is no longer a case of 'oh dear, these things happen' but more of 'now why does this keep happening?' so you might just find you start to get a few answers to those questions running around your head.

And hun, if you want a PG test just to satisfy their wants, I'm more than happy to send you one - or two (in readiness for the next time!) so just PM me if you want to - I totally understand why you think 'NO! I won't take another one now!' but they will want an answer to that question.

Huge hug to you, you aren't alone, xx

Oh Laura, I second everything MadMac has said, and feel free to come on here and vent to your hearts content honey. I've also got some spare tests sitting around the house, so could send to you as well if you need any.

Lots of love to all and ((((hugs)))) to all who need them, extra squishes for Laura

I'm so sorry Laura (((big hugs))).

Perhaps you could go to a specialist to be checked out now that you've had 3 mcs.
Here's someone who went through 3 mcs and went to a specialist and conceived OK: http://www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/advice-support-40/miscarriage-stillbirth-loss-child-boards-548/miscarriage-stillbirth-loss-child-49/366447-some-hope-those-you-ttc-after-m-c.html

    morning

Laura I'm sorry to hear the blood test results.

Penny I have everything crossed for you today x

I did a test it was BFN, still no sign of AF and no pregnancy symptoms so probably just gonna be late this month and extend my already ridiculously long cycle.

    Evening everyone
Well im afraid your stuck with me for a while now!
Rang the epc at 11, couldnt get through so left a messages but was at work so had to go back to work but kept checking my phone and at 11.30 i got through and she said 'im afraid your blood tests were 10(well 10 meant nothing to me but know that wasnt good) and it looks like a miscarriage' then she asked are you ok?anything you want to ask me? i felt like saying no its ok ive been here three times now! but i started crying and said no im ok, and then she said well what you need to do now is in a week - 10days do another pg test and if its positive to ring them back(no i dont f**king want to do another test as obv it will be negative and ill get bl**dy upset again and plus i dont have test left so will have to buy some more just to get a bl**dy negative (was going say cant you pay as i dont have any left but was crying!) So had a quick cry at work, luckly all the kids/adults were outside so quickly sorted myself out and went back to work.

Well im certianly starting to feel like an 'old timer' even tho i've only been on this thread since oct so 3months but come off the pill in Feb so will be a year next monet(yayNOT!) but then i suppose i should feel lucky that ive managed to get 3 bfp's but they arnt sticky bfp's.

Thinking about going back to the doctors but i just dont see what different tests he will do. I know they all say that there is nothing i could/couldnt off done that caused my mcs, but just feeling like that it is me, im bl**dy 20 years old i should be popping loads off kids out!!

Sorry if ive missed anyone out
Penny i really hope you get on ok tomorrow and its better news then mine, please do pop back and lets us know how you get(if its good news it will give me hope!)

ps. sorry about the LONG post and my swearing - i shall go wash my mouth out with soap:rotfl:

Aw sweetie, I'm sorry it wasn't better news, knowing you can get pg is no comfort at a time like this - I don't know if any of the other ladies who have mc'd feel the same, but I really would've preferred never to have been pg as I just feel even more of a failure

I spent 3 years trying for my first with not even the tiniest hint of a +ve result and that was way easier than the last 2 years I've spent trying for this one and losing 2 babies in the process. So I understand entirely where you are coming from. I would prefer to never get pregnant again than get pregnant and lose the baby but I have to try at least once more and that will probably be it for me, if I lose another.
