I really don't think there is any trick that will work, its all just down to probablities, patience and luck.
So true! After my mc(conceived due to luck & not knowing my cycles!) is when I got into ttc a lot more, probably due to the need of comforting myself with something IYSWIM...am supposed to be 'seeing how it goes' still:rolleyes: :rotfl:

Maybe selenium is just as important. Also in Brazil nuts.
It is:D it's an anti-oxidant which helps protect the body from free radicals and helps prevent birth defects... recommended dosage is 100-200mcg so not very much at all:)

I agree Maddie, it is just probabilities, patience and luck.

Thanks to all the ladies who helped me back in my stressy days, without you lot life would have been much harder. :A
  • Yep monitoring CM for signs of fertility is helpful:) heres a link for more explanation...the chart is easy to understand too:cool:
Reddish marks could be spotting, meaning AF is on the way however, depending where you are in your cycle could also mean implantation bleeding, heres another link to explain that further:D

    hth x

Oh dear, not sure if it was a good idea to ring the article on implantation bleeding as I'm now convinced that it what it is. Last AF was 2nd Dec but as I'm all over the place being on CD37 doesn't make me think I am PG, just that I'm having a long cycle this month (as previosuly said I've gone 7 weeks with no AF before). This implantation bleeding though describes exactly what I had on mon and tues this week, also as the OH works nights he has been off all xmas and so we have been at it like rabbits ;).

Am now getting my hopes up, so need to calm myself down, will do a PG test first thing in the morning, fingers crossed.:j

I need a hug please. I doubt there'll be ANY chance of BD tonight - the boilers broken down and I can't fix it. It's currently 14 degrees in here and dropping quickly.

I would suggest that's exactly what you need to do. That'll keep you nice and cosy ;)

    Congratulations ethelsmum and hassle :T:j:T:j:T

I agree with Maddie... it's just the luck of the draw!! But I do think knowing when you're most fertile is obviously helpful... even though a lot of you have said you stopped trying then got BFP. But you must of still been "trying" in a way or you would of used contraception???

The last couple of months I haven't really known when I've OV'd and taking the more relaxed approach. As I'm only TTC for a limited time due to various reasons (I wont go into) I've now decided to take the "do everything to help" approach... BBT, CBFM, vitamins etc.

It's good to see some of the old-timers out here, as I was begining to think I was the only one left from when I started to lurk here nine months ago and read through threads 2 and 3 in their entirety! It is difficult trying to be supportive of others especially those who come and go so quickly and we just cycle onwards but it's not about how little or how long we are around just that we are here for each other.

I hope the board Courgette set up will help those newbie-BFPs and the rest of us can carry on updating/advising on TTC. Not that its wrong for anyone to dip in and out of any board to check on our buddies, I occassionally stop by 12+ to see if some of those ladies have had success yet.

gratefulforhelp- baby aspirin is low-dose aspirin, like people take to go on planes to stop DVTs. I read in a few places that its supposed to help, but all it did was give me *a lot* of nosebleeds..

    Congrats hassle!! :)

Love you ladies, you're an inspiration and a tower of strength to me xx
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.

Fuzz, what on earth is a PTFO???? Sounds painful! Sorry you didn't get in your last BD but fingers crossed eh? As we keep saying, it only takes once :kisses3:

I'm currently reading up on condensate pipework with not a clue what or where that is, let alone how to fix it!!! We have a real fire, but we've no coal as the garage sold out last week and DH only cut enough wood for last nights fire

Oh and the cat just threw up on the bed so I have that to clean up in a minute too (with no hot water)

    Yayy for snow days

I also think BDing will help you warm up :D

and once I do get my bfp(coz I will! Just don't know when;)) I will be coming back to stalk everyone I remember....plus if I get my way it won't be too long after No.1 that I'll be back;):D
