    Afternoon ladies.

Well the landlord visit went without a hitch he is getting the toilet fixed as well as it works but sounds like it shaking the house apart when its flushed i think there is an airlock but no idea how to get rid of it.

EA i would say its a boost button chick. I got mine from toys r us for £30 came with two sets of pads.

Smartie i bled with the second one from around 10 wks it was because my placenta was low all was well with baby though. If your really worried i wouldnt bother with the docs and just go straight to the hospital A&E and they will refer you to early pregnancy unit.

well Oh is coming home for the night tonight i loose him again tomorrow. I have chocolate, strawberry laces, pop and a copy of The time Travellers wife for us to watch all cosied up as the older two are with thier dad for the next two nights yay :-) (I miss them like mad really)

Edit: thank you who ever updated my EDD on the list :-)

    Hello ladies :)

I'm sorry to put a bit of a downer on the thread but I'm looking for a bit of reassurance:o

I've had some bleeding today (10+2) and went to the docs. He was some old bloke who I haven't seen before with an oh well can't do much attitude and no offer of a scan referal. He did say to phone back up if I had anymore bleeding which I haven't, but I have had back pains.

You have to have a referal to go to my local EPU.

I know lots of ladies on the TTC thread had bad news but I was hoping that someone can say "yes I've had bleeding around then" and everythings fine.

I've been chatting to my lovely FB friends from the other thread who have been great:A but I just wondering if anyone here had similar experience??

My work collegue had bleeding on and off from 5 week up to about 12 weeks, doc suggested plently of rest and everything is fine she's due in a few weeks

I would agree with the others contact gp/midwife/a & e whoever you feel more comfortable and say you are really worried and unable to sleep and you think a scan would put your mind at rest ( it would only take them 5 minutes )

A girl in my year from school has just had her baby and called her 'Lily' so im going to be like the 4th person to name my child Lily lol. I didn't think the name was that popular.

eta: The Nipple tweaking thing, i read somewhere that if you use a breast pump it does that same thing. Is that true does anyone know?

    I have a Lily too! :p

Yes the pump does work.. it simulates suckling.. and therefore prolactin production which causes uterine contractions.. which is why the uterus contracts when you are feeding baby just after birth..

    Hello ladies
    May I join you?
Had my scan today and they dated me 12+6 (should have been 11+6), so EDD is 27 August :)

Now should I phone the MW and ask here to move my 16 weeks app to early date, as i will be nearly 18 weeks by then??

    Congrats and welcome :)

I think I would give her a ring just see what she says?

EA I am jealous of your laying in lol

Som - yeah thats why I sat down lol I knew if I had to stand I wouldnt last lng at all lol, I had a chair on the left of me, me in a chair and a chair on the right with the ironin board in front of me lol

Smartie - A lot of people round here had bleeding, spotting, and they were ok, I didnt I had brown spotting, I know SJ had bleeding but I dont know how much, could you tell a little white lie to the dr and say youve had more so you are refferred or can you afford a private scan just for your own peace of mind?

    Hi All

Have been absent for a while but am back here now again.

bump is fine - getting big and have just gotten back from my anomaly scan (im 21 weeks today) and am delighted to report that we are expecting a baby girl.
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j all absolutely landed especially as we have a little boy Benjamin already so cant wait.

We have both agreed we like the name Holly.

Cant wait now though but am still trying to hold back form buying anything because I don't want the last few months to drag past - I would rather wait a bit first then start at about 24 weeks but I was wondering - WHEN DID EVERYONE START BUYING FOR THEIR BUMPS??

Hope your all having a good day
Hi sammy, Congratulations on baby Girl

You are due a couple of days after me and I am having a girl too:D

I am holding off buying too much until nearer the end, however we don't need much as we have an 11mth old so she will be using pretty much all of his furniture/baby equipment, we will buy clothes and blankets new for her though. Although I do have some pink dummies:p

With Ds3 I started buying very quickly probably about the 11/12wk mark, but we needed everything then.

Can't believe you have a name already we are still trying to decide for certain:)

    Mel x

Kindof - Your curry sounds lovely, where did you get the recipe? I am eating like crap lately, living on take-aways, chippy, supernoodles, crisps...I really wanted to try and keep the weight gain low but that's not looking likely unless I get a grip!!

Nikkit - Sorry to see you are still about...iykwim;)

I am so tired today, but apart from that I am feeling great:j

No probs kindof my landlord has taken out a thing with british gas that covers all repairs to the property for plumbing and heating it might be worth having a look at may save you some extortionate bills in the future i know my LL has already saved money as the boiler had to have a new control panel fitted not long ago its a new fangled thing and was going to cost a fortune to replace :-)

Pokey have you thought about doing a sweep yourself or asking the other half to have a go? if you google you can find step by step instructions :-)

I read walking up and down the stairs like a crab works to.. lol. I can only imgaine if i tried it i would fall down :rotfl:

Argh! Im such an idiot, i just bought loads of stuff from ebay and forgot quidco! Whats more annoying is that the quidco link is saved in my favourites bar right next to ebay!

Kindof, i am truley jealous of you having thai green curry. I need to make some for me at some point :D
The TENS machine is £29.99, and its good as it means you can labour naturally :D
My plan is, when labour begins to try and ignore the pain as much as poss, then start with Baths and massage, then some paracetomal. When it gets to much for that then onto the TENS. And when i cant cope anymore onto hospital for gas and air :D
    I want to avoid pethidine.

We're having take out for dinner, its bad as we haven't really had anything properly for dinner this week, but we dont have much in as i didn't do the shopping lol. I will do some tomorrow :D
Think i might have a chicken curry with fried rice :D Om nom nom :)

Then we're going to snuggle up and watch Doctor Who :)

Just had a bath, was watching baby move around. Its weird how i can see her moving but not feel anything sometimes. I swear she kept sticking a little knee out though :D
